  1. Yeah, PoE1's combat music was its weakest point, but here Justin Bell has outdone himself! The music really fits the game in all sorts of ways.
  2. Thank god I turned off Steam's auto-updating.
  3. This has been reported three times already, luckily. I really hope they sort this soon.
  4. I like ship to ship text combat as well, just not the pacing of it. I'd like it to be a bit faster, that's all.
  5. The adventurous atmosphere in Deadfire is pretty much spot on, I just wish there were even more dialogue and companion options and deep narrative.
  6. This might be unrelated, but my only CTD was when I used the lift in Delver's Row for like the third time going down. I had both conches on me, since I wanted to go down again and check a certain room I hadn't been able to open before, and it was then, the CTD happened. It's my only crash in 56h, so perhaps there's something odd in the lift transitions in the Gullet, using plural.
  7. The issue is already logged since backer beta 1, in late 2017, IIRC. No need for pics. This always occur. Let's say that you have to text bark strings from two NPCs, then the text messages overlap. Most of the time you can't read it on screen. They all do, in the entire game. What's needed is the same script that makes for instance a door icon move when a character's ability icons or the hub icon for crafting potions interfere. The script is already in-game, it just needs to be applied to barkstring text messages.
  8. After the poor Ranger, I must say that the spread and the relatively low scores speak volumes about the rest of the classes being decent enough as far as single-class performance goes. Well done, Obsidian! You only need to fix the Ranger, and perhaps the Priest a bit.
  9. In numerous cases throughout the game, two different text messages in the same spot happens, and then one will overlap the other. This need to be fixed with a script so that each text window automatically stay clear of others if present, veering off the side of each other. There is also an overlap problem in our hub. When the spell/ability icons of our characters are open above their portraits (if they are placed in the centre), and you have the combat log to the right, those far to the right overlap the combat log, making for an unintelligible mess. In this case, the overlapping character abilities and spells need to take priority and be clearly visible when overlapping the log.
  10. What the title says. They work, but it often takes some flickering whisks with my mouse to make them do what they want, and half the time this means that I accidentally set them to some open state, and then I have to make a new attempt. Those hit boxes need to be fixed.
  11. Hey, that's my navigator too! He's adorable, and his diet consists of seagulls.
  12. One thing seems pretty clear by now, Ranger is no Ranga, but rather Roparu, and of the outcast gravedigger kind. I presume there is already a Save the Ranger thread!
  13. Hi! Is not the Paladin's faith feature a problem for role playing? Have you figured out the details on how Disposition exactly work? On the contrary, that's one of their winning features to me. I love those restrictions, since they keep me even better in tune with my character's role, and at the same time I can slide away too far and face the consequences. I really dig that! For instance, in my playthrough, my Bleakwalker was a bit too diplomatic for her own good, so over time, like 40h into the game, she got a red circle and all for that, suffering a bit worse defences for it, but I just keep playing - no reloads.
  14. Only paladin left now. In a way, you can say that the paladin won the single-class race this time.
  15. Seeing that single class and multi class is even may be considered a success for the character creation system in that regard.
  16. Thx! Good to know, and wo, how industrious of you! *Hats off!*
  17. My second character in PoE1 was a furry Orlan cipher, so very tempting indeed… *Mmmm…* [fluffy daydreaming in progress]
  18. A question for anyone that knows this: Is that cheevo the only broken one?
  19. I'm raring to try sneaking and stealth next time around too. This first playthrough of mine is dictated a lot by my aggressive Bleakwalker. Attack first, ask questions later... You know the drill.
  20. As long as each attribute subtraction is kept in one update on our characters, it should be fine. That ugly -2, -2, -2, -2 spam, for instance, that qualifies as a bug in itself.
