Chris Avellone: The Final Frontier

Or is he? Malcador -
That sounds delicious! I had my meal just a second ago, so I can snack a bit more liberally in 2.5h from now. @Wormerine: I also have persistent cats to deal with. One of them dibs my chair as soon as I leave it, and another plays with my hair from the back on my gaming chair. I've just gotten used to it, but it's really scary in games like Prey and Dishonored ( a new kind of 4D gaming experience).

Time for some total nerd habit confessions! I'll have some diet soda and dark chocolate parked by my pc, and then I'll usually use headphones, just in order to seep in the soundscape optimally, even when sitting at character creation for 2 hours - in this case, Justin Bell deserves that kind of attention. I also make sure that the room is dark enough and that I won't get disturbed. I literally hide my cell and kill other apps trying to get hold of me. How about you, guys?

As a former reviewer of a print magazine I feel I have to defend the profession a bit. I agree that most likely, very few reviewers finishes games like long RPG's and the like. The reason for this is that from the time you get a copy in your hand (back in the days, when I reviewed, it was actual physical copies, those were the days my friends) to the time you have to submit the review usually ranges from short to very short. I can imagine the hellish time table the lads and lasses have reviewing Deadfire (if they want a review out on release day, that is, which most wants). I remember reviewing Storm of Zehir and there was no chance in hell that I had the time to finish the entire game, and that was just an expansion. You do the best you can to get a feel for the game. With that said, of course there are reviewers who are more interesting than others, in the way they describe the game and their experience. Some are better and some are worse but that is true for every job out there. It's just a matter of finding the one's you find interesting and follow or subscribe to. I think it's unfair to bash them all and claim the lot of them as without integrity and dishonest. It's a pretty unfair statement. Yeah, many of them are trying to do a journalistic effort under very tough restraints, but at least they usually try, and I've enjoyed countless reviews over the years. I'd say that those cases where the reviewer is "bought" or just not a very good journalist, they shine through, often miles away, at least if you're an avid reader. I've read gaming magazines since Zzap!64, where I even contributed a bit, and I don't regret reading most of it. It sure beat tabloids (It's about one of my biggest pastimes, so no wonder.)

"If DU is right and iHaveHugeNick works at Obsidian - I didn't realize I was speaking to an actual Obsidianite..." How naive can you get? The real Chris seems to be a smart guy, but this dude seems daft as a log. "I'm writing tons of outrageous posts on a public forum, jousting windmills like Don Quixote, but I'm sure nobody here reading it is working at Obsidian. Hmm, Eric responded to something I wrote here a couple days ago. Nah, it must have been a coincidence." *Keeps frenetically typing* "Oh, if any Obsidianite would appear here, then I'll change my tone entirely, switching from Codex Alt Right Chic to Common Human Decency." (Sounds like a trustworthy fella. What a galah!) All the while, he want nothing else than responses and reactions from Obsidian. Zero points for logic and consistency. Chris just seems to be wanting to be a rebel just for kicks. -
Odd, I generated my key for Steam, but when I enter it there, it says "Error. App configuration unavailable!" And it doesn't appear under the other DLCs. Anybody else having the same problem? UPDATE: I restarted Steam and redid the process, and now the reply was: "You already own this product" or something to that effect. I guess it worked, but it still doesn't show up as any season pass DLC.

Yeah. Likely story, especially given the timing of this eruption of pent-up "truth". -
No, I think it just means she must be of the Conjurer subclass regardless of the combination (or lack thereof) you choose. I expect her to behave like any other joinable NPC, whereby you need to choose whether to single- or multi-class them when you meet them. If you multi her, it'll be Conjurer + the other class (no option for pure Wizard or a different Wizard subclass.) Interesting, but does this mean I can even skip that Conjurer if I want and go all in Druid single class for her?
