  1. Thanks for reminding me. Can't wait for the scouting combine...
  2. But that imagined "10%" exist for a number different functions and features for any RPG. So if you're gonna have zero tolerance for all those features, then you'll have no game at all basically.
  3. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and bet that you're not a Rhodes scholar.
  4. I'd argue there's a difference between writing some dialogue options that might lead to a romantic encounter with a couple of the companions vs the full-on dating sim-esque mechanics that seem to have become the norm in RPGs. Jade Empire might be the worst and best implementation of romance ever. Really simple to implement, bring back the good/evil meter and then just a few checks of dialogue in one conversation. Every single new game, people ask for the same ****: romance, multiplayer, crafting, different views, turn-based/VATS... Obsidian are constantly fighting feature creep as it is. This is not the way to design things. People will keep banging these drums in every chat, forum, survey, and audience questions. Someone claimed Dragon Age: Origins was first with romances in a game. Someone gave examples of games with romances which were released prior to Dragon Age: Origins and I just chimed in with more examples. I wasn't giving an opinion of which games had good or bad romances. :shrugs:
  5. As friendly as necessary, considering kids will have access to it. Seems so odd they'd make it like that. Why not do it like Netflix and have a kids filter? That way they could have both the kid shows and the more mature shows within the same umbrella, increasing the potential number of subscribers.
  6. Regarding the new Disney streaming service. If I understand what you're saying in the thread, the streaming service from Disney will be focused towards kids. But what about the new Star Wars live action show? Wasn't that supposed to be launched on the stream service? Or will that one be very kids friendly?
  7. That's the Obsidian forum for ya. A distant relative of RPG Codex. Want cheering for romances? I guess the BioWare boards? I think it's a pity we see these reactions but they have been consistant since many years I'm afraid.
  8. 1 million views on youtube = 1 billion copies sold.
  9. You know, after I posted that screenshot, I figured it would answer the holstering question. It appears I am wrong, and the fan community will remain unsatisfied until the player is offered settings to individually customize each weapon's "ready" carry elevation, angle, and cant... and given customizable holsters with which to stow their firearm. I will only be satisfied when I can romance my holster.
  10. And there's romances in Planescape: Torment, Jade Empire, etc. But anyways, I think romances and love can play a very interesting and important part in a RPG. But men seem more biased to killing/murdering so that is often more important to focus on. My point is that they don't need to be mutually exclusive. But to be fair, Obsidian's track record isn't that good to begin with when it comes to romances, but I'm sure it could have been good if people like Carrie, Kate, Megan and Paul had gotten a chance at it.
  11. Couldn't agree more. Just never saw that one coming at all. Just goes to show though, what happens in the beginning of the season has nothing to do with how things look in december. Oh, and the Dolphin turd placed on the Pats was epic.
  12. I don't really see the point of including a VATS system. It doesn't really fit in a FPS game in my opinion. The reason it was in Fallout when it went FPS was more due to nostalgia, rather than "this is an awesome system for a FPS".
  13. That was a good one! Ethics Gradient is very helpful though. So glad he/she got a shoutout.
  14. Exactly my point too. The grognards are not the problem here. This type of game will appeal to a much broader group of people, and of that said group, graphics will, to many, play a huge role. In that regard, what we saw in the trailer, won't be up to the standards expected of a game, of this type, in 2019.
  15. I think the timing is great, and "Fallout in space" seems nice. I did find the graphics lacking a bit, and for this type of game (FPS RPG) I think it will be judged hard by a big base of players. So the devs have to work on that (if possible).
  16. I think you should go ahead and be that guy. I love that guy.
  17. No fun being a Redskins fan either. Alex Smith broken leg and now Colt McCoy also broken leg. Stuck with Sanchez. They should bring in Kap and dominate that division.
  18. I felt a disturbance in the Force early in the game. I just knew we were going to lose. Didn't think they'd fire McCarthy during the season though. So will be interesting to see who the new HC will be. Sucks to be out of it already, for the second season in a row. The draft can't come soon enough. Go Pack Go.
  19. Cowboys are really showing something that I did not see in the beginning of the season. Beating the all powerful Saints? Cowboys are back in the race for real now.
  20. What makes me most happy about this is that the dev's show some love for the forums. So much takes place on other social platforms these days that this old lady (ie Obsidian forums) seems forgotten and left to itself. So this little snippet of information makes me very happy. Thanks aartz!
  21. I actually think Blake is better than half-decent. I'd even put him in the good category (but it might just be me being ignorant). Actually, going into the season, I was very happy with having Blake and Jake as ILB. But I suppose they will cut Jake at the end of the season, which I think is a shame. But okay, the big cannons will be brought in to get good pass rush and safety, we can agree on that.
  22. Indeed. So what priority positions do we need for next year? Pass rusher, safety, right tackle and maybe a linebacker (Oren Burks doesn't seem to be a hit)?
  23. Okay, so season is over. How's the draft class looking?
  24. The Cowboys really seem to have turned things around, to my surprise. I ridiculed them some time ago and seems like I'll have to stand ashamed in the corner for the rest of the season.
