  1. Premade Characters Characters can now be imported to use on various playthroughs through Deadfire. Characters can be chosen in character creation, or by visiting taverns and recruiting them as Adventurers Q. Can these include prebuilt characters from other players that have custom background stories? Can one build higher level characters with custom build paths and unique icons? Can they have unique sound sets? Thanks.
  2. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ceresgames/realms-beyond-ashes-of-the-fallen/posts/2325048 The rendered areas are top notch quality-wise. I wonder where they got all their assets?
  3. "Micro" update #3 announced the first stretch goal as a world map by an artist named Francesca Baerald: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ceresgames/realms-beyond-ashes-of-the-fallen/posts/2323380 I checked out her web site and she's produced some pretty authentic-looking medieval maps for fantasy settings: http://www.francescabaerald.com/maps/
  4. Will there be a God Challenge that just limits your party to 6 skills as in PoE? Maybe it will be Wael's Challenge.
  5. Juvenile humor?
  6. Fair warning.
  7. Can the God Challenges be modded? I.e. is there a palette of challenge options that we can customize to our liking?
  8. I don't know about additional playable races, but they have said there's probably going to be more classes either as stretch goals or barring that possibly adding them in a DLC / expansion at some point. Bards, Monks, Psions are among those that have been hinted at. They've also confirmed there's definitely going to be prestige classes (e.g., Arcane Archer, Eldritch Knight, etc.). They said they want to devote a good amount of time to each class they implement (so for instance if they add monks, they'll have high quality martial arts animations rather than just using a generic punch). The original Pool of Radiance gold box game had only six races and four classes. It's better not to overpromise and just ship an enjoyable, polished game. Hence, I won't mind if this game only has the current class/race mix -- they can save an expansion for the sequel. But we'll see.
  9. Bard class will very likely be a stretch goal. That's great, but it may fail. Seems unlikely. They're already more than a third the way there, and having a neo-nazi in the development team doesn't seem to have hurt them too much.
  10. It looks like an interesting mix of different RPG system elements. The KS relies quite a bit on nostalgic elements, but it seems good enough to stand on its own. Definitely on my backer list. Hopefully they can write an enjoyable plot with interesting NPC interactions.
  11. Low mass black holes maybe? Hmm...
  12. Kavanaugh is the Republican end game for the anti-abortion movement. Short of being a mass rapist, he'll get the nomination. Well it's been a disgraceful two years for the U.S. government, so this is the cherry on top. Possibly down the road the Democrats will initiate an FBI investigation of Kavanaugh to see if they can get him impeached. But that seems improbable.
  13. The ideal dungeon has three levels: adapting to the new environment, working through obstacles while managing resources, and dealing with the leader(s).
  14. Moving at the speed of rumor...
