    But in ALL seriousness, Az, you do realize that Wasteland 2, upon release, is going to be far less than what you would pay to upgrade your pledge, right? What is so different about adding it to your pledge versus buying it later? In all honesty, though, you just sound like someone that gets their rocks off by telling people they stole.

    Race to describe different types of humans/species is not fiction. That's like asking if gender is out of the game. But then again, you did make a thread asking if you could kill the female members of your party. So there's that.

    I used a pseudonym in the backer credits part of the survey, and it seems to have defaulted to using that name for my shipping address. Something to look out for I guess, lest you have trouble with the post office when it's delivered. I used my company name, since more than half of my pledge was really for my business partner and best friend who didn't have the money himself to do so. He had given so much sweat and blood to our projects that god darnit, he was going to be an NPC in an Obsidian game. I've never regretted how much I spent. The other things in the reward tier we're planning on giving away to Desert Bus for Hope if the game launches before November.

    I can understand being a conspiracy theorist, but I cannot wrap my head around how someone can actually think discrimination based on race, gender, sexual preference does not exist. And, I mean, this topic is about orcs and goblins. The most discriminated against species in fantasy fiction.

    Won't be Call of Cthulhu since that's trademarked. Call of the Generic Lovecraftian Sea Horror ... that's really what I should have called my game. Thanks a lot, guy.

    Oh, to be young again. Back when playing video games to pass the time was not more often than not a waste of time.

    Equally, what would we gain? I don't think "classic" is the right word. "Derivative" maybe. It's a bit late to start adding races. The lore is already written and the beta is just around the corner. Shoehorning in major stuff at the last minute just makes for a sloppy experience. Also: the game's races were pretty much locked from day one. You're asking them to go back and make new animations, models, textures, dialogue, and conversations.

    I'd go further to say that Torment is the only RPG where playing an evil character makes more sense than "because I can". The story literally sets no specific path for the Nameless One. In fact, TNO's core self was an evil prick.

    Basically. Ports are not bad. Bad ports are bad.

    I fully understand that. I'm not going to change my opinions based on some irrational fears of the pure artist vs. the corporation and others false sense of superiority because they play PC or console.

    Either you are saying everyone steals as a justification for stealing or you actually believe that people cannot possible think differently from you. Both cases are unhealthy.
