Tips for a beginner
That's because the Neverwinter Nights toolset is easy enough to learn. Anytime someone asks me what game they should mod to get some experience my response is always Neverwinter or New Vegas (or FO3 / Elders scroll 3-5). I hear a ton of professionals recommending people learn Unreal right off the bat. While I can't argue with the logic behind it, there's a major flaw with starting with something this ambitious. It's extremely difficult to stay motivated if you're not able to see any tangible results for a long duration of time. This is especially true if you've never made or modded a game before. For some people, being able to jump into an editor and see some sort of results within a few hours is enough to keep them motivated in a project. If you're new to game development and are not keen on the idea of modding to start, then something like RPG maker or unity is probably your best bet. I don't always make games with eyelashes that pop out of people's skin, but when I do, I use Unreal.

PSU Question: New Corsair Fan
Yeah, I figure it's just the PSU working. It's real faint. It's not the whine. 1) Old PSU was dead from the get-go. It blew up my old computer. 2) I have a new computer with half old parts and half new parts. Bought a new PSU. 3) I didn't know about the power fan in Corsair PSUs. 4) Case fan started going when the Old PSU was still plugged in.

Combat demonstration
We've already had that in the form of "they don't respond to impacts. Animations suck. What the hell is this? *they still have a year * Hey, watch it. Posting that stuff isn't final due to them still being a year out gets you banned on NeoGAF.

The Ongoing Review of South Perk: Me Edition
Hello. *pours himself some fine wine, sits by roaring fire* *starts J. Peterman impersonation* As many of you know, I post on this forum. Whence I learned that Obsidian was making a South Park RPG, I did a spittake in the manor of our lord and savior, Ron Burgundy. This was followed by clapping and looking around, telling people they needed to be impressed via my smile and vehemence. It was an empty room, but still. The idea is there. I'm sure you have it. I hath only played a minute portion of your vijeo gaem last night, if only to get the Are We Cool? acheevo for the Jewish class. You see, I love acheevos like I love the ladies. I aim to misbehave and by that I mean start a new game with the Fighter class. I know, I know; "but Bryy?", you ask "why the Fighter? It s the comfort zone choice for sissies and people that can't be bothered to have a real challenge". That it is, my friends. That it is. I will say this: my brief time in the land of South Park, even though it was rushed and temporary, was magical. It was as if a giant slug had attached itself to mine eyeballs and sucked out my capacity for anger. While there were plentiful bugs, I admired highly the robust and full combat system. The integration of cinematics and gameplay, or, to be more technical, narrative gameplay. The graphics were like Walt Disney's wet dream. I will play the many, many Stick of Truth clones that are bound to come out in the next two years. So just sit right there and let me tell you all about how my life got turned right upside down, just take a minute and sit right there as you read my adventures as Sir D-Bag the Fighter. Yours forever, to be continued...

Already hit a bug?
You do know Obsidian is not Ubisoft, right?

What are you playing now
I was playing South Perk until my new cpu fan came. Now I'm off to Fry's to buy screws and a new side 200mm.

Issues with NPC/Item Surveys
Unless Obsidian asks for this, i don't think including any of this is a good idea.

PSU Question: New Corsair Fan
Hm. While that *is* a nice feature, I've been getting heat from 60-71 degrees ever since installing it. Could be the broken CPU fan, as well. My last PSU was the bad one. I'm replacing it. My car has this red light that says "Engine" that's been on for like, two weeks, what's the matter with my car? I also noticed it sounds weird when starting up and sometimes smoke comes out from under the hood. You guys know what the problem is? ....Why are you asking Obsidian forum members and not Corsair? 1) I asked every tech forum I was a part of. 2) I asked the Computers subforum. As we all play on them, I was pretty sure someone would know.

Censorship = no buy for me..
That's weird, but too weird not to have a legal explanation.

Already hit a bug?
As many have stated, it took a restart for it to work. Also, the button mashing parts of the game could very well be a bug.
-
Censorship = no buy for me..
Where do you live? Because Obsidian cannot bypass an entire nation's censorship laws.

Already hit a bug?
Okay. Bit of a problem.

GameStop signing with Obsidian!
Fine then, be that way. You all can just hang out with Obsidian! I'll just play the game in an hour on Steam! .... Seriously, anyone want to drive me to Irvine?

Free Roam?
Collectables/Achievements And yes, from what I heard you're allowed to get rhem after completing the main quest. It's funny. The only games I finish in one sitting are Obsidian games.

Why is the PC unlock so late in the day?
It's unlocking in one hour for me. So I'm pretty stoked. I just need to get my PSU's fan working.
