I agree with Keyrock total clickbait, unlike Bryy I have a lot of time for CDPR as with GOG and their unrivalled support of their games they seem to be the good guys (refreshing in this industry) but these articles are always utterly ludicrous. I love GOG. But you're not going to convince me CDP are not the hipsters of the industry.

No, I mean, it's not easy to kill Skyrim. Skyrim is quite a boring and bad game. I also have no doubt it will influence the genre. But I just am wary of CDP's talking points.

I have a low tolerance for anything CDP says, whether it be they influenced Mass Effect or they create romances in video games.

Yes and it is a feature i was ecstatic about. It's just that the companions are such a large part of the game and ideally i'd have all my party composed of their people. Thus far, though, i've only liked a maximum of one, the Orlan Cipher fella. I hated the monk and the wizard completely, couldn't think of anything i want less than a female dwarf (sorry, but i like my dwarf to have a big beard and an even bigger axe and my elves to be female). I found the female priest distinctly unattractive and uninspiring (yes; i want a female character i fancy! It's a bloody fantasy game, of course i want a female that's nice looking!). The black paladin, i fear she's going to be a self righteous moaner like Jaheira was, don't think i want her either (although i'm reserving judgment). I can't use Eder, because he looks just like me and i'll already be in the party, so i can't use him even if i want to. I was banking on those new characters. Plus, obviously, tactically. Now i presumably won't have the option of a fighter or a chanter in my party, at least not without missing out on all the inter action and accompanying quests etc. It's a big loss from my perspective. Likewise more wilderness areas; once i've seen everywhere, the magic is over for me, it's as simple as that. I always try to keep some unexplored areas for as long as possible as i rarely play on once i've been everywhere on the map. To actually be offered this stuff for free and have so many of the people actually saying no is just...utterly incomprehensible to me. It reaffirms my complete lack of faith in humanity. I really do feel like i don't belong on this planet most of the time. Anyway, surely, it has to be a male Aumaua? The world has gone completely mad if there's eight characters and not one male warrior, i truly will despair. I wish they'd hurry up and put me out of my misery! 1) Those areas were not going to be free? As stated by numerous people in the thread (plus Obsidian) those would be new stretch goals. Or do you consider the entire game free? 2) Your entire post reeks of sexism and taking a video game way, way, way too seriously. Calm down.
