The Order being recognised by Obsidian is already more than I could imagine. So I'm fine with anything they decide to do about it further. But, as far as my opinion goes, a reference in the lore would be great.

Really love the understated style of the artwork. The weapon and armor look just like they should. Hoping for the same feel in the game.

[Merged] Durability
Pangur replied to Audron's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
In Morrowind it was implemented quite nicely. You needed to have the skill and the tool to repair items, and if an item's durability dropped to zero, you couldn't use it until you fixed it. It made sense in that game but I'm mot sure if I want this in PE. It can become quite annoying if it happens too often and you have to carry extra stuff because of that. Even more so, if you can make repairs only at specific places. -
Companion loyalty system?
Pangur replied to lordgizka's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Yes, but hidden. For me it makes companions more alive and makes me care for them, when I know that my words and actions 'mean' something for them. Definitely numbers should be hidden so that players wouldn't be tempted to max it out as soon as possible. -
In-Game Tutorial
Pangur replied to molarBear's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I'd like a tutorial at the start of the game that leads to the story, but with the option to skip it later. Kinda like NWN2 or KOTOR2. -
Loot Flavor Text & Lore Books
Pangur replied to w00tasaurus's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Yes, yes, yes. Lore books and good item descriptions are definitely a must. -
Experience for Killing Enemies
Pangur replied to Jojobobo's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Exactly. That's always been my problem with many RPGs. Not only when I play a rogue (though I often do), but also when I play a pacifist diplomatic type of character (which I do even more often). -
Teleportation
Pangur replied to Dem's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
It's quite easy to make teleportation usable only when your character is out of combat. And, of course, to specify the distance. Or some binding points like it was, for example, in Hordes of the Underdark. -
Level of power
Pangur replied to Flying dutchman's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Agreed. I don't want my character to be a superhero. Even at the end of the game. -
Weapon fragments?
Pangur replied to TEODEX's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Would really like to see this in the game. -
Actually, a PC-only party is what I dislike in RPGs. I find it hard to role-play more than 1 character. And I really love interacting with companions, learning their stories, gaining their trust, watching relationships within the party... that kind of thing. Without it the party (and the game to some extent) feels kinda... hollow. But, well, if it's an option, I'm fine with it.

[Suggestion] Time limit?
Pangur replied to Death Saved's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
There is a similar topic about time and urgency: http://forums.obsidi...please-have-it/ P.S.: The search option is in the top right corner of the screen. -
Project: Eternity and Characterization
Pangur commented on Chris Avellone's blog entry in Chris Avellone's Blog
I must say I really liked the influence system both in KOTOR2 and NWN2. For me it didn't break the immersion, on the contrary - I felt like I was building a relationship with the character, slowly gaining their trust. Yes, this system can be abused, but the idea itself is great. Probably, though, players should not see the numeric equivalent of it, so they wouldn't know how much influence they gained or lost. Well, that's just my opinion. -
are polls useful to obsidian?
Pangur replied to vattghern's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Probably it's the devs who should vote on this poll, not us. But I think polls can give a good idea of what people are thinking. After all, it's much easier to look at the results than to read tons of posts.
