Owww yeahhh... Knights are coming to help the realms of men

That's true. But te question has to be WHY such things can happen and are accepted. Which brings us pretty quickly to failed interventions. Unless you are willing to make an intervention in 3rd reich style, then no intervention ever is going to work there. They need to grow up themselves...

The "west"? Isn't the party line to trot out the ole "the majority of terrorism happens in ME countries". What did they do to deserve it? Oh yeah, slightly different interpretation of the scripture. I guess pretty much anything is a valid reason huh?Well you were bleating about Crusades and others so you weren't looking at the West? Isn't all that hard to understand things don't reach a point without a lot of hands involved. Ah well. No the West must take some responsibility for the rise of Islamic extremism, it would be disingenuous to suggest the West has played no part I would say the West is maybe 8-10 % responsible for Islamic extremism, the rest is other factors most Muslim countries are grappling with like implementing human rights and particularly recognizing the rights of minorities like women and other groups ... 8-10%? Yes I realize this may sound excessive but lets accept some historical blame ?The west has DEFINITELY messed up more than 8-10% of the Middle East. A lot more. Your view is delusional at best. I hope this is a joke I'm not getting. Define "the West", then define "messed up" and then finally define the time frame. We can start as far as persian wars, then go through Alexander the Great, to go back through disassembling greek satraps of Seleucids. Perhaps a failed Roman invasion to the middle east? Parthians raising to power? wait, later? Moors hold over Spain? Byzantine time? Crusades? or maybe Invasion of and hard grip for several centuries of Ottoman empire over Balkans and Greek peninsula? Going as far as Vienna and almost sacking it by Ottomans? or is it the Russian war with Ottomans? Is it the fatermath of the first world war? or maybe the second? Or perhaps we should not allow to create Israel in early 50s? Define it bro, because to be honest that place has been a place of voilence since forever, and Islam just made them go backwards...

Funnily, it did not work when it was Polish president being mocked like 10 years ago, or American president, or name a few more. Suddenly it works when it's Turkey involved, where majority of German muslims are coming from and where that state is blackmailing EU in terms of ME migrants crisis.

Would you have a link to any of those? I'd like to check them out. Alternatively, any recommendation for easy to learn image manipulation software :D

Thanks, I know about the wiki. I'll give it a look then. I was hoping that perhaps someone knows some "map making" tool for this type of a game. I mean, I could work on that manually, but the amount of work to create lets say "forest encounter" would cover a few hours, and I hoped to cut that down to 30min or so. I'd have to manually pre-make tons of map variances, while I hoped that there some tools, which could enable me to just start up laptop and create a needed map on the fly. (grids and all that jazz)

India, Portugal, and kinda Bangladesh are doing pretty well... India is even the sixth largest economy in the world. For all of them, you have to consider the circumstances. They don't have quite the same history as Europe or America (except of course for Portugal), and they're all quite young nations. yeah.... did you count GDP per capita for India, and been there? No thank you... Portugal - recall the term PIGS of EU? how's the employment there? how's the growth? Bangladesh - what is it good in? Please elaborate, cause doing well, can mean, "well i am not starving and have a running water, so I'm doing well"

5ed base manuals, DM, Monster and Player books.... Anyone playing 5ed here? any advice on returning to D&D? Any links for some cool stuff that can be accessed on line or shipped to EU, - like map creator tools, additional and expanded lore, etc. I'd greatly appreciate any info here

It's fairly simple, really.... It's the fault of the parents - as they want their children not to be stressed out and be treated like special snowflakes It's the fault of the edu system - it does not challenge the kids enough, as they could get stressed out It's the fault of the PC bullcrap - we are all winners, we are all special etc. killing healthy competitiveness It's the fault of the mass media - showing that you just need looks and be a spineless dumbass - there is no value in being smart, especially in the cultural circles suffering worst effects, like blacks and spanics - but any mention of that will get you labeled racist and then it's the fault of politics, not giving two ****s about this, because stupid voters are easier to manipulate As for edu being state funded - it does not work, state has too many expenses as is and high quality education institutes need extra inflow from private funding. Sure, baseline education should be available to all, and should be good enough, that there is no such gaps between what you know at the end of High School and what the Univs want and expect from you, but Univ level should be based on scholarships and combination of state funding and private funding. State only institutes stop being good and productive, and the cadre just looks for lazy ways of pulling gov. money in most cases.

So.... Trump decided that the great wall of USA gets built?
-
So what's with all those Trump haters mocking a 10yo kid and being insensitive and intolerable to his behavior of typical 10yo kid who gets bored by "officials"?

What? This seems amusing, please do elaborate https://mobile.twitter.com/Lee_in_Iowa/status/822634312650649600/photo/1 Also the bee movie, and Bane, apparently. Would love to see an actual in-movie footage for these claims. I do not have such a good memory to films and the quotes are the easiest thing to manipulate...

Different objectives, 8 soldiers to control, and like 11 aliens when I played it. I was basically in XCOM heaven. I gave it a try to go for an early "get data" mission which had only 22h window. I packed 10 soldiers for max guard level enemies.... the pods had 7- enemies each, had to kill around 35 enemies had 9 turns timer to get to the data vault... i failed by one tile, lost 2 soldiers in a heroic attempt, but then killed all the advent. I feel like flashbangs are much better now than regular nades early on, because you rarely get to destroy cover with regular nades, but still gettng a nade toessed on ambush into 9 enemies and getting some luck let me get 4 kills out of one nade... I'm LOVING IT. just need to learn to skip some missions early on i guess.
-
LONG WAR 2 is out for XCOM 2 - rejoice !!! Damn, even the first mission got HEAVILY converted.

KP its inaccurate and unfair to compare Saudi Arabia to ISIS ISIS is much, much worse Not really, ISIS is basically similar to how house of sauds came to power. they were nothing but wahabi thugs and bandits.

Just randomly passing by and dropping again an idea of WHFB or WH40K themed Classic RPG with turn based combat...

You left out arguing on Internet forums. Nah, lazy people do that during their working hours, so they can slack of without getting bored to death...

It really depends what you want to get from your education. In some fields you can do it on your own, a lot of IT related stuff is covered best by people who did it at very young age as a hobby and went from there. There are some fields of science, where I would not give a broken dime to someone who would be self made man. I mean, imagine people in things like bio-engineering, medical specializations, and other highly complex fields, which require access to specialized labs and environment. Heck, even a lawyer needs some time at building his cases and presenting during classes and case studies. Sure, things like history, linguistics, etc can be done via self study, as long as you are sure of the sources. Is my degree worth much, nah, not really, not the degree alone, however the university gave me a broader perspective and gave me some anchors on which i might start upon when investigating something new. The more valuable things are professional certificates, in case of Finance, you get CFA, CISI, CIMA, ACCA, depending what you want to do there. I wish they were more accessible during the years of studies, because once you start working, it's really hard to get time to do them. I guess that's one of the gating elements for those though, otherwise every student could get them with enough time.
