Patch Order: From 2.03 to 3.03?
It's possible you'll not need those patches. They are for the kickstarter version of the game, not for sale. For the Kickstarter backer DVD version just install the last available (1.04 to 3.03). The digital versions of the game and the regular DVD version (it's Steam) auto-update to v3.05 when you install them.

Help me with Royal Edition upgrade files
Make sure Steam installed the extras. In the Steam Library click Pillars of Eternity. On the right side of the page you should see a list, from there you can select the DLCs to install. After that open the download tab and if needed start it yourself, as sometimes Steam doesn't download right away.

PoE on more than one PC
Be careful testing with GOG and Steam. Savegames corruption happens if you have 2 PoE open at the same time. The game will not warn you if the save is damaged that way.

PoE on more than one PC
It's Steam Cloud. When you close a game that supports Steam Cloud, Steam uploads the savegames to its servers. Then when you open the game from another PC, Steam tries to synchronize the saves.

[3.04] Recovery freezes after getting knocked down.
Could be the same issue reported by this guy playing Trial of Iron: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89642-expert-mode-annoying-bug/?p=1850771 For the bug you just need to reach the central island and attack a Eyeless. (The savegame however seems a bit wonky: I see all of his equipment suppressed.) His character can stand and walk immediately after being hit by a debuff, but cannot attack. Despite being able to move he is still prone/dazed/etc. The debuffs do not seem to fade - there is no countdown. Image under the spoiler

Game crash
In your log I see 2GB of memory, but the system requirements ask for 4GB RAM. If that is correct the crash is likely due to entering a area requiring more than 2GB RAM. MINIMUM: OS: Windows Vista 64-bit or newer Processor: Intel Core i3-2100T @ 2.50 GHz / AMD Phenom II X3 B73 Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4850 or NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT Storage: 14 GB available space Sound Card: DirectX Compatible Sound Card If your OS is 32-bit please also check this post: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/88660-used-to-run-flawlessly-now-constant-crashes-303/?p=1837860

Greyed Out "Load-Savegames", None Solution Did Work!
In some cases disabling the antivirus before starting the game can help.

Fps Locked to 22 ...
There is a FPS slider in the game video options, but PoE minimum frame rate cap is 30, not 22fps. You can look at the register to check the game settings: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity MaxFrameRate_h2741477806 1e = 30 fps ffffffff = uncapped A cap of 22 is so low that suggests something else is interfering: a battery boost, a performance monitor with "optimizing" options, a energy saving profile. How someone else with a similar issue fixed it: https://steamcommunity.com/app/291650/discussions/0/618457398962702695/?ctp=2

Save games not Recognized, New saves deleted after relaunching game
The forum accepts only certain files and savegames are not among them. To share them you'll need to upload through something like www.dropbox.com or www.sendspace.com. The 2.0 folder is normal, it was probably created by patch 3.0. At the begin of your output log there is a a message telling the access to the savegames temp folder is denied. You can try to disable the antivirus before starting the game, and re-enable it after the "Continue" and "Load" buttons are working. The output_log also warns about 2 autosaves corrupted, you could want remove from the savegames folder this 2 files: cff98343-b082-4fe0-868b-0c6544c913ef autosave_0 (2016_10_05 00_02_12 UTC).savegame e59e3137-f270-445a-a24b-94d7b84ec913 autosave_0.savegame

Anti Aliasing on AMD
Can you try to set it to "controlled by the application" in the game profile? Not sure how to call that option for AMD cards.

Game breaking Bug - Cannot change Party (3.03)
With the beta patch days close don't try your luck with a work-around. Fingers crossed the beta is expected for tomorrow.

Josh Sawyer Pillars of Eternity 2 Tease Thread
I'd agree, but I don't believe Obsidian will go for a slightly thinning. Having seen what they did to the magic system, or the hacking job to the spells lengths (curse that putrid fart that is the slow-mode), when I hear "let's cut something" I have no optimistic view on the matter.

Game breaking Bug - Cannot change Party (3.03)
^ based on this, for those who can't reload to a point before getting Hiravias: In Options>Difficulty disable "auto level companions". Close Pillars of Eternity. Start PoE. Load your last save*. Talk to a Innkeeper. Open "Party Management". Add Hiravias. Open "Retrain". Reset Hiravias. Save in a new slot. Quit the game. Restart. Load your last save. *last "less damaged" save. I'd refrain from using a "5 people party" bugged save, or a save where your companion equipment disappeared.

NOOOooo Remember Deus Ex Invisible War lesson. There is more to skills and spells than just the effect.

Cannot Climb or Descend Stairs
Verify the game installation: Steam -> Library -> Right Click PoE -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify integrity of game cache GOG Galaxy -> Righ Click PoE in the left column -> Manage installation -> Verify / Repair Upload a savegame and the output_log to dropbox.com or sendspace.com. Where to get those files: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72439-must-read-how-to-report-an-issue/

Game breaking Bug - Cannot change Party (3.03)
Something you can try, at your own risk: Launch the game (if the game is already running, close/restart it). In Options>Difficulty disable "auto level companions". Load your last save. Talk to a Innkeeper. Open "Party Management". Add Hiravias. Open "Retrain". Reset Hiravias. Save in a new slot. Quit the game. Restart. Load your last save.

Bought the game this past Steam sale...
It does something a bit different: it's for the levels your companions already have when you recruit them. For example, when auto level up is disabled instead of a companion level 4 you get a companion with the xp to immediately reach level 4, with your input.

Bought the game this past Steam sale...
Tip To avoid a bug affecting the expansion-less game: in Options->Difficulty disable auto level companions.
-
Can't uninstall
Did you try removing the game through Steam or GOG Galaxy?
-
I am stuck with a party bug.
It's a known bug caused by the companions auto level up. In Options>Difficulty disable Auto Level Companions. Once that is disabled you can reload to a point before adding Hiravias, and recruit him safely.
