  1. The cartoon doesn't get delayed, episode rather famously gets made in a week. This is mostly to stop Trey and Matt obsessing with script changes If you haven't watch the documentary 6 Days to Air. A musical will take them 7 years though THQ's financial situation is a huge concern, I don't think they will go under any time soon, I also don't see them not releasing a game that is a potential huge earner for them. Games get delayed a lot. It is just about the most predictable thing in the industry. By the sounds of things it is only a few months of a delay which is fairly standard.
  2. Sorry I'm confused. People have the right to express their opinion unless their a celebrity?
  3. Barbarian taking mushrooms and going berserker seems reasonable. Cyphers taking vast quantities of opiates to keep the voices out also works. and monks well the less said about them their antics the better
  4. Other potential character motivations: 7 sins style Envy, that Villains chap has a lot of cool stuff I wants it Boredom, meh there's nothing to do. May as well pick up dads sword and go adventuring The Love interest, Chicks dig the heroic save the world type right? Self Promotion, I am goddam fantastic. I'll go kill a dragon and every will realise just how fantastic I am. Anger, That mad bastard necromancer killed my horse. I'll kill him. Money, I need money and you need people to stop stealing your sheep and setting fire to your farm. I accept most major forms of coin or gem. Hunger, I was raised by a necromancer who wanted to help me find my killer. He tasted nice. So did the townsfolk. So will you. yeah boredom isn't really sloth but sloth is fairly anti adventuring
  5. The demand for nudity mods will probably be lower than in many other games, as the isometric view (possibly with limited zoom) means that means that players will not really be...uhm...enjoying the view up close anyhow. Sadly I think you are underestimating the depravity of rpg fans
  6. Just tried PMing him but he can't receive any more messages. Guess his inbox is full of shield requests! I'll try again later when he's found time to empty it. this is the blank one
  7. Sadly you are correct. I remember trying to find Dragon Age mods and having to go through about 40 nude mods before I found something useful. Still better than the nudity and anime mods I have to sift through in TES mods. who thought snake and cat women needed 40dd's anyway?
  8. Sadly you are correct. I remember trying to find Dragon Age mods and having to go through about 40 nude mods before I found something useful. I deserve a reward for avoiding the easy masturbation jokes

  10. I hate quest timers along with escort quests are my gaming pet peeves
  11. If its a reign of fire scenario I imagine real life me would either A) Be BBQ'd B) Run fall then become BBQ C) Run, hide gain a false sense of security after a few days become BBQ D) Hide, find other survivors and become part of a buffet for our Dragon overlords. E) Almost magically join up with the last remnants of the military become their cook avoid all combat. Attempt to luck my way through. F) Go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over... Wait that's for zombies G) Let Christian Bale or Matthew McConaughey handle all the heavy lifting. H) Confuse them with a logic puzzle. How can a Dragon and a Donkey breed? Fantasy RPG version of me would tank it like a champion. Or become BBQ if I fail that pesky saving throw.

    Movember

The only picture I can find from the end of Movember 2011
  13. Have a source for 3rd ed now just to read it and see if I can use it for my nefarious means.
  14. It's not related. As people can still donate it is possible for people to still join OOoE.This thread is simply to help newer members get their title and if they want a Sigil. Albeit mostly it is being used my members to talk to each other.
  15. My little cousin Andrew who is like a little me, told me he wants to make games when he's older. I told him he should learn to programme as no matter what part of the industry he gets into programming knowledge is useful. Now he wants to know where he can learn. He goes to the same high school I used to so I know its got no interest in teaching programming. Their head of IT is the same pensionable alcoholic who taught when I went. He didn't think the internet would catch on. I put game maker on his steam account for him, and he is intrigued. However does anyone know of a good tool for teaching programming online? Only needed for entry level stuff to give him a good idea. Preferably free, I love the little guy but I'm skint. Any good suggestions?
  16. Yeah I'm of the dear god no camp on this one. Fallouts MMO looks to be bloody awful and I doubt will ever see the light of day same can be said for elder scrolls. Problem being they tried to make the WOWlike in those setting instead of making them Fallout/TES but with thousands of people. But given some of your other threads I'm pretty sure this is being asked just for the reaction. So congratulations.
  17. very early development they were last seen getting location shots so still a long way off. As much as I preferred New Vegas to 3 I doubt Bethesda are going to let anyone make the main game of the franchise. I would think they would contract someone to do another New Vegas style game. After Obsidian got screwed by Bethesda over 1 lousy meta-critic point I don't think they will be interested without some sort of guarantee going forward.
  18. Obsidian shouldn't license any unproven engine, regardless of its potential.
  19. Why wouldn't it be? A version of this thread has been pinned since the early days of the Kick-starter. I largely increased my pledge partly due to it. I know a few others are the same. I don't understand what your objection is to it.
  20. That's the bit that got me to donate
  21. This is a much more contentious issue than I thought it would be. The old infinity games basically had the feature through character import export and I know a lot of people used it that way. Repeated playthroughs is how I finally managed to defeat Sarevok. Although then done it with a very different character setup. New game + is a feature that really wasn't used in games back then and was just curious. I'm happier with export import than New Game plus if I'm honest. I like any feature that promotes replay-ability The first mass effect done this well IMHO with the character unlocking abilities that would give an advantage to new characters, its also one of the only games to make achievements work for the same reason. Apparently some of you really hate it and associate the feature only with genre's you seem to despise. Features are rarely genre specific any more and if something works well can be used in many genres. RPG elements have been creeping there way into FPS games for years now and in the past that would have been unthinkable. In the end I want this game to be the best game it can and I want a reason to come back to once I've reached the end. I will more than likely have multiple characters made but every now and then it is fun to stomp around overpowered and show those rats in the basement what a fireball is.
  22. I always like villains who doesn't, without them the hero is nothing. There a definitely a few good roads to go down with them. I always enjoy the scenario where I can say "Yes he is a bastard but in his position I would probably have done the same thing". Some of the greatest villains are villains of necessity, they are not by their nature evil but are forced to do despicable acts for what they perceive to be the greater good. This is where we can get the misunderstood villain as opposed to the plain evil one. Don't get me wrong I love me a good old fashioned, moustache twirling, black hat wearing, voiced by Tim Curry Sociopath. The great unrepentant villain bathing in the blood of the innocent. Please if you are going to go in that direction, go all in. Have zero redeemable traits don't let history say he loved dogs or kept the trains running on time. Have even the most neutral historian refer to them as a monster. There is also the truly misunderstood hero, who every perceives as the villain. The one performing acts that are criminal even monstrous but if they don't do it something much worse will happen. A tragic figure who hates what he has to do but understands the consequences if he doesn't. This is a for the greater good type hero and until the end of the story you wont understand the actions. Once you stop them you'll probably regret it. A favourite of mine is the heroic villain. This is the bad guy doing the right things for the wrong reasons. My favourite example of this is Lex Luthor in Mark Millar's Red Son (aka the only Superman comic I will ever recommend) In this Luthor is as evil as ever his only true motivation is destroying Superman. To achieve his goals he becomes president and brings in an era of economic plenty improving the lives of all his citizens drastically. His great economic model spreads across the globe defeating communism. His only reason for doing this to weaken Superman's resolve as he leads the soviet union. Then we have the Fallen Hero the once truly noble champion who has become everything he once fought against. There are a number of ways the great one can fall ranging from the truly tragic to the petty. Whether they fell due to envy, boredom, prophecy or a curse (to name a few) they are always a sad character especially when seen from the eyes of the people who once loved but now fear them. These are just a few of my favourite villain archetypes. What I would love to see most is something different something I cant predict. If they do that then the game will have a treasured place in my heart forever.
