  1. Mortal Kombat might be the best video game movie, but Street Fighter will always have the finest bit of script writing in cinematic history: "You've lost your mind." "No! You've lost your balls..." Rivals Shakespeare.
  2. You ever seen that youtube video "how not to play hitman"? That was good.
  3. Wait, they made a first hitman movie?
  4. You have to bear in mind though (and I'm not a fan of the EU), they do not get to keep these laptops. They are on loan, and probably seen as a cheaper alternative to a netbook.
  5. We another volcanic eruption to cool us down.
  6. The Daily Mail is there for people that get through the day feeding on hate. Like Sith Lords. Bear that in mind if you see someone reading it Wals.
  7. Moose, the German propensity to do this a couple of times every hundred years or so has caused Europe no end of trouble . Hopefully they'll stick to worrying about Germany from now on. I jest. More hyperbole needed next time, noted.
  8. I think the German's should just roll up their sleeves and take over these smaller economies, then the single currency would work just fine and everyone would be happy.
  9. "But according to a report from The Standard newspaper in Zimbabwe, the country
  10. It's too bad they don't have any oil.
  11. By long term I assume you don't mean in galactic terms, as inevitabley we're going to die out as a species. There's too much going against us - sun going to die, nearest galaxy on collision course etc. In the short term population control would be a lot more effective than colonising Mars. I for one don't want to be eatting Soylent Green. When are we going to realise as a species that having more than 2 children isn't sustainable - will there be a tipping point? Perhaps in the harsher parts of the world, for example Sudan is claiming 90% of Egypt's water supply (i.e the Nile), and now say that's not enough, they want 95%. First signs of a tipping point? Perhaps the foot shortage scare that got briefly put into the news last year. All signs, but I think more likely we'll simply put up with it due to human nature. And for what, because people have the right to have a third child? Silly. Very silly. Edit: That said I'd really like the species to go to Mars. If you know you're going to die out one day, it should be on the todo list.
  12. Like a kitten vomitting maybe.
  13. An unlicenced pilot manages fake it for 13 years, flying commercial jumbo jets: Clicky
  14. I think it would be impossible to drop Newton from school physics, the two are ubiquitous. It would be like teaching chemistry without the periodic table.
  15. lol, "unique thermo-nuclear reaction device". No doubt.
  16. I guess if you're put into the world of Soylent Green, blame lies with the breeders in society, and the easy way to hurt them is to stab their children. How's that for a theory.
  17. Sobering.

  19. So what you're saying is robots need the vote?
  20. Oh and I liked the first half of I am Legend, when it sort of resembled the Vincent Price version. It went downhill after he killed his zombie dog though.
  21. Of the top of my head, and I'm not ranking any of these as must see movies: Moon had great set design and soundtrack but the story was pretty obvious and needed a much sharper ending. District 9 was amusing. At first I thought it was going to be overly sanctimonious, but they did put a story in there. I enjoyed the CGI in Terminator Salvation, but it was weak over all. Unfortunately I don't think the last decade was very good for Sci-Fi films. Ironically Serenity sent me to sleep.
  22. Seek a friend that will build the PC for you, and pay them $100.
  23. Like a true liberal he's simply trying to have his cake and eat it.
  24. Looks like the lib dems have backed down to the conservatives. Nick Clegg backed himself into a corner saying there was absolutely no way he could work with Brown. So a Tory minority government.
