  1. I miss Phosphor
  2. Japan have gone in the same direction, maybe the two countries have some secret plans they're not telling about.
  3. Suppose there's only a few things people will universally agree on, like how awesome the 1986 Transformers movie theme was.
  4. Yeah, and you're not French, so use Imperial. Metric is scientifically standardised, Imperial isn't. It's got nothing to do with historical origin. Imperial is also scientifically standardised, it's simply not internationally recognised. That's why you hear amusing stories about Mars probes crashing because one Nasa scientist was using miles, the other kilometres (doh). It's sad that we adopted a French system really. Personally I find it easy to visualise an inch, or a foot - what on Earth is a metre other than "about 3 feet"
  5. Citizens of Eutopia, all is well. Move along, move along...
  6. Both, probably.
  7. It sounds like you're getting the concepts of weight and mass muddled.
  8. Actually that makes perfect sense to me, but I can see the argument against it.
  9. I'd live in either society, because I could drink the death potion and then keep chugging till I find the cure-all.
  10. lol @ this
  11. I dunno - you gotta admit it feels better living under a weakened tory government than a strong one. Nutters on both sides tend to cancel each other out.
  12. Collectors items appreciate in value the longer you have them.

Because you can't enforce it, so it's meaningless.

Actually a contract Russia had with Libya for 180 of those T-90s has now had to be cancelled due to the embargo, so they've lost out.

I dunno, he always struck me as a vegetarian.

I think it would be like releasing all the Star Wars movies at once, it would confuse the audience and there would be nothing to watch in the following years. Edit: buy more bacon

Erm no, not Britain. Remember the Iraq war? Wasn't *that* long ago.
  18. I'd employ that guy, and his game idea was good
  19. Sounds like he already did his time.

I can beat all of these. Working lego guns:
  21. Not sure that adults really find films scary. Certainly when I was a kid there were some things I couldn't watch, like the guy drinking from the wrong cup at the end of the last crusade. I think once you get older and you've seen enough of how rough the real world is, anything in a film seems pretty tame. I suppose that's why "Threads" struck a nerve with so many people. Just a little too real.
  22. I nearly had an alcohol addiction because it's so easily available, but luckily alcohol is something easy enough to turn away from. To be honest I'm glad herorine isn't freely available, it would destroy the lives of working class people. As for the people that are willing to break laws to get hold of it - meh. They've abandoned society breaking those laws so why should we care.
  23. It really is "Four Lions". I swear that films underated, it's absolutely boom on.
  24. Very good gallery of the recent protests: clicky
