Won't you miss Mandelson? His god awful creapyness makes for good comedy.

I'm just gonna take from that, that you know absolutely nothing about Sunderland, or what's been happening there over the last 13 years. Or do you just like the BNP?
-
Bah Sunderland voted BNP over UKIP. Mind you labour won - and labour have really shafted Sunderland over the last few years. The north is so retarded
-
The scribbley childs drawing of a tree is for the conservatives. The red rose is labour.
-
I voted, there was a good turnout. My vote wouldn't have been decisive as I live in blue territory (go figure, lots of large home owners around here). But I think whoever you vote for matters. It gets recorded. Whoever wants to win next time will be examining those figures closely - it is nothing more than a popularity contest after all.

What's it like having no reflection

Wasn't it H.G Wells that said a world government was the only thing that could save the world? Mind you he was a Victorian.
-
Oh he so will, the pillock gets booed wherever he goes.
-
But according to one of their candidates the election was in April, so I'm afraid it's too late to vote for them now. Oh well.

Obviously any GUI coder you know is going to be against it. It's going to put them out of a job

I just can't do it. For the next 5 years every time I see a cabinet member I'd have in the front of my mind "they're there because of you". At least with labour I can gain some inner peace knowing I didn't vote for them. And apart from inheritance tax I don't really see them as being that much greater over labour. They won't pull out of the EU - hence whatever they say they can not and will not control immigration. Even the Torys support Turkey joining, but that's going off topic. Although voting UKIP won't put them into power, it will make the smallest difference in that at least we won't be forgotten. They'll know there's a growing number of people that think they're not getting the important issues right. Surely in the long term that's more important than throwing Brown out? I think it's just a case of me being idealistic, and you being pragmatic. I'd be selling my soul voting any other sort of way though.
-
Given a hung parliament means more Gordon Brown you'd have to vote conservatives, but I just can't do it. Maybe if their cabinet weren't all twats. It just doesn't feel democratic voting for them. I don't want them. At all.

Well no it's not irelevant because if as you say memory management does not matter on a PC (he says trying to keep a straight face), then the 10meg footprint you're talking of is worse case scenario and they would have engineered a lighter version for the console. Indeed PCs have greater overheads due to OS requirements - for example Adobe released a lite version of flash for mobiles. It's in their interest to continue developing in this direction due to the surge of tablet computers. Then there's the benifit of cutting development costs if you can employ someone that merely knows actionscript to do the GUI this is obviously going to be considerably cheaper than employing a C++ developer. As I've said, the new Crytek engine, which runs on console, uses Flash. It runs without problem - so I hear your argument but I'm merely pointing you toward the real world.

I think the real point is the other two parties wouldn't form up with the tories. I've watched a lot of the debates, and it's pretty evident labour and the liberals have shook hands.
-
It includes vector graphics, movies and animation. All the development is independent of the final implementation, in the same way that modelling, sound, motion capture, and texture are. All for a mere 10 meg, when modern PCs run on average 2gigs+ (looking at the latest steam survey).

I'll probably vote for a minor party as it'll do the least damage. That and I don't like the three main parties. Labour have made plenty of decisions I disagree with, and I don't feel they represent me so nuff said. The Conservatives - I would have voted for them to remove the death tax off regular middle class people - people that work their whole lives and finally manage to afford a decent house. Their shadow cabinet is all made up of utterly bizzare people though. I saw Michael Gove the other day - where did they get this guy? Is he some sort of alien? Unfortunately it doesn't stop with him, they all speak like robots. I just can't vote for a party like that. I don't agree with the liberal democrats policies. They want to get rid of our working nuclear weapons system - but what never gets mentioned is they do ultimately want to replace it. They also want to scrap the eurofighter typoon. I'm kind of against anything that demotes research and development, so I'd only scrap this as a last measure over truly essential stuff like cancer treatment. I don't think any of the parties have anything inspiring to say over the environment. Labour at least are looking at nuclear - I would assume all 3 parties are so this is a null point. Education isn't a big concern for me, I've been through both a tory and labour education system. It declined under both. As for the minor parties, there's the Greens. I've seen how they behave amongst themselves - they aren't fit to govern in my opinion, even if they are the only party that bring up the single most important issue, limited resources, growing population. UKIP - They've had a ropey past. At present they more or less resemble kind of a niche conservative rebel party. I think as a euro sceptic they're the only way I can voice an opinion this election. Also voting for them isn't going get them into power. I think voting for a minority is all someone like me can do in this election - just so that when it's all done with there'll at least be a foot note saying "yeah I don't much like the idea of being in the EU".

The new version of Crysis is going to be released on X-Box 360 and PS3. If you've seen Crysis you'll know it cutting edge (for a computer game). So if it runs fine on PS3 and XBox 360, and indeed on PC, I can't see the foot print being that much of an issue. After all, let's not forget the GUI is actually pretty crucial part of some games and probably deserves some memory.
-
You can do the artwork and script the GUI without having to know anything about the underlying game engine, or be a C++ programmer. If you look at modding the Crytek engine it's actually quite intelligent the way they've made development more modular using ActionScript. Seems irrational to simply state Flash is stupid.

What's wrong with British food? Lovely bit of roast beef, taters and pud. Scrum.
-
Although Flash has users outside the internet. In particular the way it integrates well into game engines. The whole Crysis GUI was built using Flash.

This guy represents everything I hate about politicians

Only if the conservatives don't win. He'll stick around for a hung parliament. What else is he to do? -
Crikey some of you make it sound like black mesa.
-
So how does something like this happen?
-
Nah I'm sure it'll be "It happened before 1945 so it doesn't count".

I hope that's not your life at 40.
