  1. ...could be...as I's ne'er had a chance ta use the 2 cd version, I can't tell ya fer sure...sorry... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  2. ...ya patched it, didn't ya???...2 cd version doesna need the patch... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  3. ...every little detail isn't supposed to be layed out for ya in PS:T; that's part o' what makes the story...if they decided ta add e'ery li'l detail o' TNO's crimes, they'd 'ave been at it forever since TNO had more lifetimes than Heinz has pickles...TNO was a powerhungry badass in his first life, that's givin' ta ya by the Good Incarnation hisself...in order not ta spend an eternity fightin' in the Blood War, he found Ravel an', unwittingly, separated hisself inta two beings, thus unbalancing the Planes an' addin' e'en more ta his "Gotta make up for this" list...yer not given it all cuz ya ain't supposed ta git it all...PS:T is all 'bout possibilities an' that eternal question: What can change the Nature of a Man ...if yer lookin' fer somethin' that spells it all out fer ya, go play Zelda... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  4. ...yer kiddin', right???...PS:T had one o' the best endings (well, multiple endings actually) o' any cRPG in recent memory... an' Torment definitely didna lack closure; either ya ended up a complete person in the Hells or ya ceased ta exist; either way ya got lots o' closure... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  5. ...it was good, not great...dunna believe the hype... " ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  6. ...as much as I's slagged BG: SoA o'er the years, it's not cuz it ain't a good game; well worth a play-through it is...it jus' ain't great...IWD is a great game, imho...an' I's agrees wit' the others; git PS:T, ya won't regret it...greatest o' all the IE games an' arguably the best cRPG out there... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  7. If this is it, I just want to say that the last 4+ years posting on BIS/IPLY/OBS Boards have been a blast. I hope to see a few old familiar faces over at Missy's from time to time (I don't post there very much these days, either) and to the rest, let me just say that's it's been a fun ride while it lasted. ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  8. EDIT: ya know what, ferget it; I won't "troll" this thread...this is a fan outcry to Feargie an' Obsidian to let them know that we would like the Forums to stay open, or at least only close temporarily...I've posted my opinion an' I stand by it...Feargus, let us "Forum Geeks" continue to support Obsidian in the best way we know how; by showing it here... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  9. ...Oh, you don't remember the "NO TROLLING BIO...ummm, other Gaming Companies" fiasco, eh???...use yer head; you don't think Feargie's gettin' crapped on by LA fer all the anti-KotOR II sentiment 'ere???...christ, last week LA went after reviewers fer crappin' on KotOR II on the reviewers own damnable sites...Feargie made deals wit' devils an' now he's sufferin' for it...an' why does ya think the silence from Obsidz dealin' wit' KotOR II has been damn near deafenin', eh????...mebbe cuz LA has 'em by the tongue, ya think???...ye know, we've been goin' at this fer years now an' this is honestly the first time I can ever remember thinkin' "What; Grommy's smarter than that"...just fer once, pretend that it isn't me yer talkin' to 'ere (cuz you'd disagree wit' me jus' fer spite...as I would wit' you) an' use yer noggin' a bit a stew on it... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  10. ...that's the problem, Grom; I don't think Feargie is being allowed to run things his way...he's got both BIO an', most regretably, LA to answer ta now...at least BIS only had that idiot Caen an' the IPLY maroons ta answer ta...he pretty much lost his vision o' Obsidz from the get-go...more's the pity... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  11. ...so make it a Dragonlance/Fallout crosso'ver???... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  12. As someone who has invested quite alot of time in the past 4+ years posting on one incarnation of the BIS/IPLY/OBS boards or another, this news actually saddens me greatly and is all too reminiscent of the tragic loss of Black Isle Studios to us "cRPG Geeks". While I understand that, with any "new" company comes growing pains, I feel that the loss of these Forums would not only hurt we die-hard fans, but would also prove to be a step backwards for such an "up-and-comer" like Obsidian. Very rarely have I ever "come out of character" on these or any other variation of the BIS/IPLY/OBS Boards, much less for such a post, but to honestly convey my opinion and feelings on this matter, I feel it necessary in order to truly let Feargus and all the other employees at Obsidian Entertainment know how strongly I support a decision not to close these Forums. And if the decision to close the Forums must be made, I want to thank Feargus, Avellone, and all the rest of those at Obsidian Entertainment whose path led them from the fallen but not forgotten Black Isle Studios for all the work they have done, both on their games and on their Boards in the daily dealings with their fans, to let we the fans know that they actually gave a damn about our input and our entertainment. Thank you for 5+ years of commitment, dedication and loyalty to the fans. And, especially, thank you for putting up with me all these years. Jason Oliver
  13. ...SoA's combat was mob rules an' not much more...same tactics o'er an' o'er, same spells o'er an' o'er; basically, jus' gang-rape 'em 'til e'erythin's dead...an' ToB was jus' this amplified X10...yes, there be some great user-mods out there fer SoA/ToB, but theys wasna BIOweeenia's doin'...IWD truly had memorable battles where tactics an' adaptablility counted, not jus' gangbangin' e'erythin' in sight... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  14. ...his best work was in The Man In The Iron Mask... " ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  15. ...I's not criticizin' PS:T's combat, Messiah, but it was more simplistic than any other IE game's was (yes, includin' SoA)...combat was not the focus o' PS:T an' it does show; whether or not that makes a difference to people is up to them (fer me it certainly didna)...I also agree that IWD set the benchmark fer combat in IE games whilst still retainin' a great story an' awesome atmosphere... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  16. ...wit'out an engaging, well written and well thought out / paced story, you're jus' playing Dia-BLOWS all over again in a different setting...if the story is great, it'll make everything else look better, even when it's lacking somewhat (PS:T's combat, anyone)... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  17. ...in no particular order ('cept fer PS:T bein' #1): Planescape: Torment (PC) Baldur's Gate & Tales of the Sword Coast (PC) Icewind Dale & Heart of Winter & Trials of the Luremaster (PC) Icewind Dale II (PC) American McGee's ALICE (PC) Resident Evil (PS1) Metal Gear Solid (PS1) Vagrant Story (PS1) Manhunt (PS2) WWE SmackDown: Here Comes the Pain (PS2) ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  18. Baldur's Gate III: The Teeny Goat ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  19. ...any BG3 made will be compared, an' prolly unfavorably, ta the dead Jefferson project from the dead BIS...that'll be one headache... ...any BG3 made will be compared, an' again prolly unfavorably, ta the original BG an' ta SoA...'nother headache... ...any BG3 made will be run through the wringer by the "The BG / Bhaal Spawn Saga is over and should stay that way and anything else with that name is just a pale imitation..." and/or the " We want new titles, not just money-grabs wit' similar names"...anti-fanboy regimes...'nother headache... ...why would any developement house want ta do this???... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  20. ...if yer lookin' fer the sweetest OCin' ram, look no further than OCZ, 'specially theys Voltage Extreme series... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
  21. ...an' there it is, folks; the whole damn world's gone loopey...'tis a sad day, indeed...:shakeshead: ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
