...actually, PS:T did pretty well over time; Feargus hisself said that on more than a few occassions on the ol' BIS Boards...it jus' wasna a smashing success out o' the gate and BIS was in the proccess o' bein' in a hurt locker fer a smashing success, which ne'er really materialized, more's the pity...why'd ya think theys road the coattails o' BIOweenia fer soo damn long; cuz the BG Saga an' the Infinty Engine were a couple o' cash cows that no Dev House in theys collective right mind would toss away like a used tissue...PS:T was, is, an' prolly always will be the quintessential cRPG, an' I highly doubts if'n any other RPG House out there now or in the near future will 'ave the brass ta follow in its enourmous footsteps an' break the mold one more time...more's the pity... <_< ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...

...well, first, if you're lookin' at the FX-55, don't; look at the FX-57 (2.8gHz 1M L2 cache compared to 2.6gHz for $100 more as of now, prolly droppin' soon)...as fer the differences; well, the FX series be the "flagship" o' AMD's single core line, fastest gamin' procs on the market...is it worth it???...imho, no; braggin' rights ain't worth $600...if yer in the market fer an AMD 64, go fer the 3700+ (2.2gHz 1M L2 cache fer $360 CND, only a few bucks more than the 3500+ an' the extra cache is worth the cash) or the 4000+ (2.4 gHz 1M L2 cache fer $480 CND)...or ya could go dual core wit' the 3800+ (2.0 gHz 512K L2 cache) fer the sweet price o' $460 CND or go big wit' the 4400+ (2.2 gHz 1M L2 cache) fer $700 CND...prices are slowly trickling down, so the price/performance ratio is gettin' much better...personally, I'm goin' 4400+ fer me new rig... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
...some versions are OCed out of the box...the eVGA version is clocked at 445mHz, but in testing it's already been pushed to 490mHz no problem (I'll try to find the site I read it from yesterday)...still lots o' potential... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...
