Yeah, the Tali recruitment mission became an ASAP mission for anything that didn't have access to assault rifles for me. It was just far and away, so much better than just about everything else for general purpose shooting things in the face. And it almost never runs out of ammo. I think the loyalty mission conversations are based on the number of missions you've done since recruiting them. Not sure about the specific number though.

The missions will pop up by themselves eventually whether you talk to them or not. You'll have to talk to them to start the mission, but you'll get a notice in your journal and Kelly will tell you that "X wants to talk to you". And oh god yes does the machine pistol suck. It's horrible.

O_o The x360 version does this automagically - the pc doesn't? Also, pretty much agree with the points you made earlier - and want to emphasise the way combat drones change combat on higher levels. There is no safe cover (+ there's always a flanking vanguard) The automatic save is overwritten when you start the next mission. I believe the point was to make a manual save so that you could go back even after starting something else.

I didn't die on my first time through, but I did die twice on my third run when I tried an infiltrator. I'd gotten used to how long it takes to heal, but the cloaking screws up that feel for the timing.

Nice! I've got an earlier version of that and I don't think he'd gotten the ME1 plot checks worked out at that point. I'll have to keep this in mind for my next run, whenever that is.

I can't remember whether it disappears outside of combat, or just after a few seconds at full health. The squad doesn't get full health bars. They get little shapes next to their portrait that aren't as clear as they could be due to the colouring. Squad health starts grey, and becomes red. When they are taking damage, their portrait flashes red. There is no heat management to worry about, so no bar needed. Health goes down really fast because none of the enemies ever miss you and they focus fire whenever you are out of cover. The red lines that appear on screen should be more noticeable than the little red bar at the bottom of the screen when you are about to die.

And we're one of only two countries that ranks things in terms of total medals rather than gold medals. The BBC commented a couple days ago that it was ironic that the COC was conceeding the podium when nearly everyone else had Canada leading the standings. I didn't think the Hockey game had quite as much action as the earlier CAN-US game, but it was still damn good. That last minute goal by Parise was just "OMG NO!" when it went in with less than 30 seconds to go.

I thought those were Plot Drones. Those specific ones might be plot drones. They show up in other places as Geth Recon Drones.
