Actually a Cespenar voice would be a good comparison except it's more annoying.

That was a really tough fight. I can't remember how I did it, but I think I got lucky with a couple insta-death type spells from Qara.

I had 6 thugs attack me just after I started beating up on the first group of 6. The orcs I can handle, but when you have 12 thugs attacking you and every single one of them is getting sneak attacks...

I've seen thugs, orcs and city watchmen all open doors in order to get at me. Usually they happen to arrive just in time to turn the battle against me. :angry:

NWN2 remedies this problem by having the enemies in rooms two and three come charging out towards you when they hear the fighting going on in room one. If you can't get out of combat, your character doesn't get back up.

Permadeath refers to someone not being able to ressurect a character after death. Completely different.

Where have you seen piles of gold that can't be looted? I only remember one that you can't loot, but that can be retrieved. Beyond that, I can remember several piles of gold just lying around, but all of them were lootable.

Do you like being intentionally thick? I don't believe that you for a second actually thought that any of us thought "permadeath" was just having people die. I'm sure you realize that we were talking about "permadeath" being permanent death regardless of the presence of ressurection spells. <_<

Well, there aren't that many houses around you can loot in NWN2. Things in containers about town, however, have always been fair game in RPGs. It would have made a lot more sense had they instituted a law/chaos penalty for looting houses you're purging of baddies, ala SoU, but I guess it just wasn't an issue in this game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm pretty sure there there is at least one occasion in which you get chaos points for looting a house. I'm sure that I've had it happen to me, but I can't remember where... And Nasher at no point broke the law. He worked completely within the law to save you.

BG depended on what difficulty level you had the game on. IIRC the two highest difficulty levels had perma death where if you got below -10HP it wouldn't let you raise the character.

At certain times, yes. It's alright when you're inside and can close the door, but driving on a sheet of it can be fun to downright scary. And I couldn't post in this thread without adding another ice pic(k? ah forget it), this time featuring daylight! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The only games that I can think of that have that are are the Fire Emblem games, but those aren't exactly CRPG's. )

Imagine a questline where you have to defend yourself from the merchants of the area who come after you for destabilizing the economy of the region with all your fancy loot. :D
