Turn off the AVG. You don't need it running in the background, unless you are downloading suspicious files. Ftr2/Wiz8/EK10 will get you 9th level spells and 4 attacks.

Can anyone actually tell me what the difference is between the camera in NWN1 and NWN2? I've just been using the Top Down camera.

And based on Berserk's question: Didn't we find out that you don't actually need ranks in diplomacy to become an eldritch knight? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never believed that I needed to get Diplomacy ranks in order to get Eldritch Knight. I want Diplomacy because I like to be able to talk my way out of things and if that fails I'll just start dropping fireballs. Maybe I should go Sorcerer instead of Wizard for my Eldritch Knight? I'll probably won't be using too many different spells and metamagic on the fly would be pretty nice. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah. Hadn't consider that you just wanted Diplomacy in order to talk your way out of things. :D And the Sorceror/Wizard thing depends on what you want to do with your character. A wizard can get both 9th level spells and 4 attacks per round. A sorceror can only have one of the two because of his slower spell progression.

It was a good night. The Sens beat up on Buffalo again. The Habs won against Atlanta. Edmonton scored a shootout victory over Detroit (the exact outcome I was hoping for*) and of course the Leafs lost again. *Didn't want the Oil to blow out the poor Detroit goalie on his first ever NHL start...

This would be a different bug than the one where you were not controlling your main character when the cutscene tried to trigger? Can't say I've ever had that version happen to me however I've usually got several dispel magics on hand to counter anything like that. )

I only get about 4 FPS outdoors. Indoors I can get about 2... This is at 1600x1200 with all the best texture settings, maximum lights and bloom. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My 10FPS was with2 lights and no bloom in an area with no real lights around. Anything with lights kills my FPS, 1600 or 1024. Hopefully I can pick up an X800 or something to hold me over till I can afford a brand new computer. Only thing I can upgrade is the video card and anything good would be bottlenecked by the rest of my system.

No problem. Found it while I was checking out the bioboards. ^_^

Open the console (~ key) Type "DebugMode 1" Type "rs kr_influence(12)" You should then get a dialogue box that allows you to check/modify any of your NPC's influence values.

After checking my influence with her in both saves I did discover the discrepancy. In the first game where she stayed with me I had an influence of 9 with Elanee. In the game where she left I only had an influence of 5. Also: I can run the game at 1600x1200 with 5-10FPS depending on what I'm looking at. The water settings drop me down hard. With both enabled I was down to 1FPS. With only one on I was topping out at 5FPS.

Your progression is a little off. You get your second attack at +6 BAB, third at +11 BAB and the 4th at +16 BAB.

I didn't kick her out. She just left. No idea what my influence with her was, but I was obviously missing a couple points. I have two games at about the same point now, one with Elanee and one without. The thing is I can't recall getting any extra influence with her in the first game. I had to restart from just before Jerro's Haven and work my way through the story till I could get back to Nolaloth's area.

Wow, you must've seriously irritated her. I grew up on a farm so I find it fairly easy to understand a D&D druid, which is probably why Elanee and I get along so well. I get a kick out of Nolaloth; sort of reminds me of the Spectator Beholder in BG2. In fact that whole area is fun to visit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have no idea what I did to deserve it. I failed two influence checks during the Circle of the Mere encounter and she ran of with Naevan after the battle.

Well considering I'm running it on a 9600 Pro. The only really difference I noticed between the ones I took tonight and the ones that I took yesterday is that the jaggies are a heck of a lot less apparent than they are at 1024. I didn't really notice much of anything when I turned on normal mapping either. EDIT: Lights? Are you kidding me? If there had been any lights in the picture it would have taken 30 minutes before it registered my prt scr keypress. I was at <1FPS as it was.

Got a couple pics here for you guys. Took the first ones of them yesterday, but they were in 1024 with almost everything off. Had to play for another 5 hours from my closest save before Nolaloth's area in order to get back there. Unfortunately I had to substitute Casavir for Elanee, because of some failed Influence checks that caused her to leave the party. Anyway, I managed to retake them all in 1600x1200 with almost all the graphic settings turned up to the max. Kept shadows on low though. My current party (minus Elanee): I like this one. Can't really see much in the picture however it's the text that get's me.

Roshan: Taking 10 levels of wizard instead of 10 in EK only get's you one bonus spellcasting feat that you wouldn't get with Wiz8/EK10. The downside to that is that you don't get a fourth attack at level 20. If you switch those around and max out the EK levels along with your 2 levels of fighter that get's you that elusive 4th attack/round. I never really bothered with any of the spellcasting feats except for extend spell. I always had a couple extended hastes on Sand. By the time I ran through them both I usually needed to rest anyway. The practiced spellcaster feat is apparently bugged, or so I heard several people over on the bioboards claim. Other than that I agree with the rest of your advice. The only skills you can't rely on your companions for are the conversation skills.

You need to be able to cast level 3 spells, a good class to start off in is wizard. Throw in a few levels of fighter so you can gain some of the fighter feats. This is what I did. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Two levels of fighter would be best. You still get 9th level spells, but you also get the 4th attack.

My enjoyment is starting to be impaired. Not sure what causes it, but suddenly I have AVG screwing with game files going "OMG! These are viruses!" I tell it to ignore them while I swear at AVG for crashing the game. 20 minutes later after I start NWN2 back up again AVG will again start yelling at me because of the same stupid files. I TOLD YOU TO IGNORE THEM DAMNIT! Once again the game crashes because of AVG which is then killed... Now that AVG is dead the game is started up once more and everytime I try to open a context menu the game decides to crash again! ARG!

Neither one. Cold Iron sucks. It doesn't even allow you to bypass the DR on demons. <_< I just crafted all my stuff from mithril. Made it lighter so I could carry more stuff.
