Went through the gem mines again. Extend Spell on haste along with liberal helpings of stoneskin and searing light worked wonders. Time to get some crafting done now... EDIT: Does anyone know if it is possible to enchant a robe with elemental resistances for example? My rogue/fighter is about to be dex mod limited even with only padded armour...

Noooo! I just screwed up. Ran through the entire gem mine clearing it out. Tried to kill everyone before my protection spells ran out. At one point I had maybe 15 or so minions and 3 of the Lich wanna-be's chasing me at the same time. Go go maximized searing light! Then I alt-tabbed to check out something for crafting (found a couple workbenches) but the game crashed when I tried to get back in. I'd also forgotten to quicksave before alt-tabbing.

I didn't manage to complete the rituals on my first time through. I'm hoping to get them this time.

Yeah the sun soul boots are the real kicker here. They gave me an extra +5 ac. Bumped me up to a +6 dex bonus and the +4 dodge bonus. I still need to craft some better bracers of armour and a better amulet of natural ac. I haven't been to a workbench since Sand picked up craft wondrous item.

Luck of Heroes and both Two Weapon Defence feats. I do have Dodge, but it isn't shown as far as I know.

Turn v-sync off with everything on low at 1024 and you should be able to get 20FPS in most areas. Outdoor areas just wandering around I seem to get around 24fps, but indoors and during relatively large fights I get around 10fps. I haven't noticed any difference in FPS going from low to high textures.

Swashbuckler's Hat (no AC+) Custom Mithril Chain Shirt Bracers of Armour +4 Swordsman Belt Amulet of Natural AC +2 Cloak of Fortification +2 Rings of Regeneration and Freedom (no AC+) Boots of the Sun Soul +4 Also +3 AC from feats.

I've currently got an AC of 36. I can easily bump that up even higher.

Damn you guys. And I thought my rogue was decent. Hit level 14 a moment ago. Currently dual-weilding short swords. Both are plus three right now. One has 1d6 electrical and the other has 1d6 cold. Cold damage sucks when trying to fight undead. At least he has a higher AC that you two do right now.

Strangely enough I don't seem to get any performance hit when I bump myself up to high textures. It's odd. I also get the text box thing. Just fought some guys in the Gem Mine area. Big fight that ended with the text box not updating fast enough to keep up with what was on the screen. It was still updating 20 seconds after the battle. Made me wonder how the hell I was fighting a dead enemy...

Could be a bug. I got the githzerai to recite the true names. I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't have gotten through the last Shadow Reaver fight without her helping out. First thing I did was tell both Jerro and the Gith to read the truenames so that I could actually take down two of them as fast as possible.

That's about as close to the exact same specs that I have as you can get. I've been running at 1024 with everything off (except textures at medium) and I'm getting 10-15FPS in most situations. There are a couple things that just horribly kill my framerate, one of them being big spell battles and the other being the winter room in the temple of seasons.

Nice post. Brought up some issues in there that I can't say I ever really thought of when the happened, but I can see where you are coming from with the complaints.

Volourn I hit that problem in my last game also. The problem there is that the big baddy in the fight accidentally killed someone that has dialogue during that conversation, but because the character is dead, he can't respond. The only way to fix it that I know of right now is to reload and go through the fight on normal instead of hardcore. Get's ride of the mage friendly fire which should allow you to finish the fight properly.

I may not agree with the score, and I do think the problems mentioned are a little exagerated based on my own experiences, however it's still a much better review than the first one.

I had a ring of insight do that to me. One of them I couldn't unequip though. Eventually fixed itself.

Can you have them die and play solo that way, by just dragging their unrevived "corpse" around? Or does the game do something to prevent that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dead characters will auto-rez outside of combat.

It's called a wired mouse... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wired mice suck. I'm never going back to a wired mouse.
