I heard some speculation about 8-10 being a good point to get the vast majority while browsing Bioware. Not sure how accurate that is though.

Haven't had that happen to me with quest items that are given to you. I've occasionally tried to loot a corpse while I had a full inventory, but everytime I've done that they items in question just end up back on the corpse. Did the item possibly drop to the ground or get passed on to another character?

*Didn't know that either* :">

From what I've gathered the complaints are about the zooming in when you get near a building or something. Never really had a problem with it myself. Some people seem to complain about having to use the arrow keys to move the camera and that makes a really awkward situation for right handed mouse users, although they all seem to overlook the fact that you can remap the camera controls. I think if they altered it so that buildings would fade out like the trees do then that would instantly solve about 50% of the camera complaints. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why use the arrow keys or edge scrolling at all? Middle mouse button works as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because I never remember about the middle mouse button? :"> I was paused so often anyway that it never bothered me to take an addition second or two to rotate the camera.

Thanks. What class is Calivar? Would any of them get upset with an evil character? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Calivar is a paladin. But my guess is that he wouldn't care otherwise you would anger people who played evil characters. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Great, an uptight tin head like Anomen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Personally I didn't find him as bad as Anomen, but then there aren't as many lines that I noticed between the main PC and Casavir. I thought he had some good lines during some of the interjections with Bishop actually. "

You can die if your entire party dies. It's like as long as you have one person left you can drag the rest of your parties bloated and decaying corpses back to a temple to raise them, but without the tedious trip back to the city.

I may not be American, but I resent that. I was one of those people during our last provincial election here. I'm not of "questionable character." :'( It counted towards my community service hours for school. Knocking on peoples doors for a few hours/day() > watching over a bunch of young punk kids() at a school fair.

Fine then! I won't using spoiler tags in your thread! <_< Pop: The FF came up for me too, but they could still see me. -
I just caught the highlights on TSN (damn them for not televising the game) and I must say it was hilarous watching Komisarek holding his own against Winchester dispite the fact that he couldn't see with his jersey up over his face. ) Sorry for the Oilers, but "Hooray! Another win for my Habs!"

There are some tough boss fights through the rest of the game. I think part of my problem was that I never really bothered with spell casters all that much. I stuck with Casavir, Khelgar and Neeshka for most of the game. Spellcaster AI just ticked me off, so I just got rid of the spellcasters. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sand was pretty powerful for me, especially at later levels (he murdered a lot of the bosses, thanks to greater stoneskin, empowered cone of colds and plenty of meteor swarms) and from what I hear, Qara kicks the **** out of everything. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I noticed that Qara kicks the **** out of everything when she :'( -

Ah. Haven't hit most of the fights that I found difficult yet. I agree that most of chapter one is pretty damn easy. I assume you mean an AC of 32 there. I never had higher than a 27 or so, mainly because I kept waiting and waiting to get the good stuff, but then ended up forgetting all about it and stumbling around without any really good equipment. :"> -

Oooo, you managed to get past the troll area without any damage? Congratulations. Where are you in the game right now? -
:'( So beautiful, and so very sad. My computer would die trying to render that at anything over the minimum settings and those are definately not minimum settings...

You've got to be kidding. Easier than KotOR? At least in NWN2 there are some fights in which you can be killed. You can go through KotOR without any equipment at all and never be in danger of dying once. -
Technically you don't even need that level of fighter. You can take martial weapon prof as one of you feats and hit eldritch knight at level 5-6 depending on whether you are a wizard or a sorceror.

Yes, yes it is. I know that I played on hardcore. As long as you buff your spellcaster up before you start throwing those damage dealers around it's not so bad though. At least for me as long as I wasn't throwing AoE's I would only get a few enemies coming at me rather than the whole mob. I could throw disintergrates around without much trouble, but the moment you let go of that chain lightening... -
Apparently Emery is out with a wrist injury now. The Sens are getting into an ever deeper hole. Emery was playing better than Gerber was and if the Sens could score more than one goal his record would have been much better than his 3-2 is now. <_<

What? WHAT?? you say this like its a good thing. New rules: Wear clothes while posting... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe we should start a new thread. What are you not wearing right now?
-
That selection of classes isn't that bad. You've got sorceror that can cast at 13th level and he can fight almost as well as an 11th level fighter without quite as many feats. Use some of those sorceror powers to buff up and he should be able to hold his own quite well. It's better thought out than a Fighter/Mage/Cleric/Thief. "

That's not what I meant, and yes merchants so far seem to be convenient enough that I haven't had to resort to muling. Also I'd prefer never having to swap out any characters. Keep in mind that I'm early in chapter 1 and don't know what's ahead. The game has already taken three NPCs from my party in West Harbor, so I'm wary of losing more. In general I'm used to having the people who join me stay with me to the end. Or I say the hell with it and go solo. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't worry about losing that much of your party again. That was a one time thing only. You will end up swapping out one character at a time for a certain quest here or there so that they can show you where to go, but that's it. Jaheira, Keldorn, Nalia, Imoen and Yoshimo have this behavior. For the first four its due to quests and you ultimately get them back, but it still leaves the party depleted until they return. I usually bring Yoshimo or make my character a rogue of some sort to cover for Imoen, but the rest always annoyed me to some extent. Usually I try to time their antics so they won't happen in the middle of some other quest, but that's after I know about their behavior. I'm just particular about it is all. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah. I never used Jaheira and never did Keldorn's quest. I don't recall Nalia leaving beyond the "I'll wait for you at the quest location", but that was before you even got her in the party. Could be missing something there. Imoen going missing wasn't so bad, because it was all of maybe 30 minutes into the game and you likely already picked up another thief before you lost her and another mage isn't hard to find. Yoshimo was the only one I didn't like, because he was the only pure thief in the game. <_< -
There seems to be a rather large number of people who like to post while nekkid.

What the heck are you talking about? You make it sound like the game disbands your party every 5 minutes when that is not the case. With the exception of one area that I can recall you are never required to swap out more than one character at a time. When did party members take off in BG2? I don't recall anything like that although it has been several years since my last playthrough. Unless you are somehow referring to Imoen or Yoshimo. EDIT: I always managed to find a store by the time my main character had filled up his inventory, so I never really needed to use my NPC's as pack mules.
