  1. I ordered my PC version from Amazon UK. The people who have the game already, ordered it from where?
  2. I don't have any definite info on that but I recommend you wait until Friday. In any case, as DS3 is a Steamworks game, you'll have to wait until the 17th to play it.
  3. If you join a game, your chosen character will level up to whatever level the host is at.
  4. That's a proper game commercial.
  5. This thread is just bad trolling so it's locked.
  6. DS3 is now in 7th place on Steam's sales chart. Last week it was in 20th or something. I'm guessing people are taking their demo experiences, and acting upon them.
  7. Gamepads are better for fighting games and brawlers. There aren't many of these on PC but there are a few. Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, Arkham Asylum or DMC4 are examples. A gamepad is also better for a few other games, including Last Remnant and most sports games.
  8. They view the forum, even if they might not reply to most questions/requests.
  9. Wait for the full game, play it to completion and then review it.
  10. It begs the question of whether Nathaniel met any of the ladies. This is one of the better interviews on the game, by the way.
  11. Here's the full explanation from Nathaniel. So you are right in that all abilities are purchased in the course of the game, but like I said, maxing all of them out is not an option and choices have to be made.
  12. I don't think you can max your stats or have all the skills at once without seriously gimping the character.
  13. Regarding respec, I think that in a shorter (I'm going to call it RPG brawler just in this post) RPG brawler like DS3 or Dark Alliance, what you choose during character customization is a core part of the gameplay. As such, it's something that should have permanent consequences in the way the game plays and respeccing would trivialize the impact of that side of the game's C&C.
  14. I don't this is a game for casuals, unless you play it on the lowest difficulty. Competent knowledge of the game's systems seem to be required in order to progress in the hardest levels.
  15. Engine - I'm a PC only player, so I haven't tried the PS3 version, but I'm surprised frame rate is a problem. Obsidian (Sawyer, in particular) have stated often how important a stable rate of 60 fps is for games like DS3. Camera - That's something I also wanted to do. However, given that the maps in DS3 probably don't have ceilings or skyboxes, that's something that's not going to be implemented. Map - That's a good idea. Re Spec - I don't think that's appropriate for a game like DS3, given that isn't an ARPG in the vein of Diablo. Oh, and welcome RPGCodex man!
  16. It would be really odd if local co-op with a gamepad and M+K isn't allowed. It won't affect me, but it seems like a basic feature.
  17. You always need focus to block. Some enemies can damage you even when you're blocking.
  18. There's no point in discussing who's an alt and who isn't. I'm looking forward to the story, myself.
  19. It's still there, for me.
  20. I'll be playing through the plot with my partner. We enjoy both the combat and story.
  21. I think that on PC, in general everything in the GUI could be smaller without negatively affecting user-friendliness.
  22. You can zoom the mini map a bit. It's down on the d-pad.
