  1. Here's the full explanation from Nathaniel. So you are right in that all abilities are purchased in the course of the game, but like I said, maxing all of them out is not an option and choices have to be made.
  2. I don't think you can max your stats or have all the skills at once without seriously gimping the character.
  3. Regarding respec, I think that in a shorter (I'm going to call it RPG brawler just in this post) RPG brawler like DS3 or Dark Alliance, what you choose during character customization is a core part of the gameplay. As such, it's something that should have permanent consequences in the way the game plays and respeccing would trivialize the impact of that side of the game's C&C.
  4. I don't this is a game for casuals, unless you play it on the lowest difficulty. Competent knowledge of the game's systems seem to be required in order to progress in the hardest levels.
  5. Engine - I'm a PC only player, so I haven't tried the PS3 version, but I'm surprised frame rate is a problem. Obsidian (Sawyer, in particular) have stated often how important a stable rate of 60 fps is for games like DS3. Camera - That's something I also wanted to do. However, given that the maps in DS3 probably don't have ceilings or skyboxes, that's something that's not going to be implemented. Map - That's a good idea. Re Spec - I don't think that's appropriate for a game like DS3, given that isn't an ARPG in the vein of Diablo. Oh, and welcome RPGCodex man!
  6. It would be really odd if local co-op with a gamepad and M+K isn't allowed. It won't affect me, but it seems like a basic feature.
  7. You always need focus to block. Some enemies can damage you even when you're blocking.
  8. There's no point in discussing who's an alt and who isn't. I'm looking forward to the story, myself.
  9. It's still there, for me.
  10. I'll be playing through the plot with my partner. We enjoy both the combat and story.
  11. I think that on PC, in general everything in the GUI could be smaller without negatively affecting user-friendliness.
  12. You can zoom the mini map a bit. It's down on the d-pad.
  13. The trick is that you can change the direction of the third strike. just point to wherever you want to hit with your third strike, and that's where you'll hit.
  14. I don't know, actually. I figured Square would have opened them by now, so I'm not sure what their plan is at this point.
  15. A pop up appears during the game telling you how to access the inventory. A note to the devs is that there should a pane with the full controls in the ingame help menu.
  16. Yes, it's F. With a controller it's one of the pad directions, I believe.
  17. Square's fora haven't been open yet
  18. Less talking about each other, more talking about Dungeon Siege 3 in a balanced and polite fashion.
  19. Dungeon Siege was noted at the time of release for being dumbed down compared to previous RPGs. People complaining that the game played itself was common. Now, in this forum, plenty of people since the release of the demo have been complaining that Dungeon Siege 3 dumbed down things compared to the originals. I find that amusing. Now, regarding your control issues, I wholeheartedly agree that there should be customizable controls in every game. I especially understand how it is a big problem for people who are left handed. However that doesn't mean that aren't any PC controls in this DS3. It just means you don't like the controls and would like to see them changed.
  20. The fun bit for me is that the old school purists are defending a game noted for the dumbing down and streamlining against dumbing down.
  21. There's another guy on Steam's forums with the same problem that is also Ukrainian. Follow the instructions by ObsidianEnt here.
  22. I'm really at a loss as to why your crash is happening.
  23. The game has PC controls.
