  1. Your companion also asked you to light the fuses on the bridge. Doeet!
  2. Armor types can make the game funny sometimes. With Katarina, The big burly man boss at the chapterhouse dropped some stockings. Awkward....
  3. It works like that in all versions of the game.
  4. Yes, but those don't come from Barcelona. Question answered here.
  5. Steam should give you a blank field to insert your key. On Steam, try going to the Game menu and clicking Activate a Product on Steam... and follow follow the instructions. If it's the retail version just insert the game DVD into your drive.
  6. You register the game on Steam with the key you find in the back of the manual. There may be two other keys in your box. One is for pre-order items, the other is for registration on Squeenix's site.
  7. Regarding the loot and character levels, those are all host game dependent. Really, the game is designed for co-op with friends, and I guess the recommended way to play through the game is from start to finish in co-op with your friend. That way both of you build your characters together, and as such can customize your respective builds to work well with one another. Think that you have one Reinhart to play through the campaign in single player and another one to do the same with your friend. One point you mention that I haven't seen pointed out is the one about loot drops being skewed towards the host. Does everyone experience this with loot drops? Regarding the camera I don't think we can expect independent cameras to be added in a patch. But a change to the camera's maximum height might be feasible. Perhaps a dev can clarify that.
  8. That's all people say? I'll leave the verdict on that up to the people. I can name way more things than the distance of the camera from the ground wrong with MP. That's not all people say, that's all they say that's a valid criticism of the multiplayer beyond I want this game to be Sacred 2/Diablo/Dungeon Siege. You might as well argue that because MMORPGs are huge successes, all RPGs must have the similar multiplayer focus.
  9. I haven't. I don't know whether it's actually good or not. However, by going on what people say the only bad thing about multiplayer seems to be the camera's distance to the ground. Everything else appears to work well. Edit: I read it! Hah!
  10. Except a lot of reviews haven't been negative about the mp.
  11. I'm a PC gamer only. Dungeon Siege 3 is great by my estimation. Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 were terribly dumbed down in my opinion.
  12. Yes, this game doesn't have a mule nor does it play itself. It's a travesty.
  13. IGN cannot into games, anyway.
  14. I'm using the steam version and placing the DLL in the same directory as the .exe for dungeon seige, cuz that is what it says to do on the wiki. Yes, that's how it works for me.
  15. Strange, it uses DLL for me without issues.
  16. I was trying to figure out why.
  17. http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/ You can use this emulator to get the controllers working.
  18. I'll only be able to test it when I get home, so I was wondering how the regular attack combos work for each character. Specifically, I'm looking for info on the possible number of sequenced attacks for each stance, and the ability to change direction without breaking the combo.
  19. I'd imagine it would be better to make a new game to cater to the online crowd, instead of shoehorning a Diablo style co-op mode in. I'm just guessing, though. It's always something isn't it? People are making suggestions that will improve the next game in the series (if there is one) by pointing out flaws with this game. I don't give a flightpath about their dev schedule or economic situation. Obsidian are asking full price for a streamlined Dungeon Siege. People who don't feel like the title is providing the gameplay options that seem to be standard for the genre are hoping for improvements, somewhere, in this title or down the road. You are cheerleading the streamlining and standing up for the stripped down MP. That's cool, we are all allowed to pick a side in any argument we choose but your side favors less gameplay features for the same amount of money. People paid full price for a broken, buggy, streamlined mess of a game in Oblivion, loved it and begged for more so I don't see the problem.
  20. Saying that an apple sucks because it's not a watermelon and then criticizing the watermelon producers for not catering to your personal tastes is not particularly valid criticism. It would be like me going on the Blizzard forums to complain that Diablo 3 isn't Planescape:Torment. The only thing you could honestly complain about is the use of the IP. It's not a question of difficulty. it's a question of limited development time and money.
  21. Sometimes? I have it like that all the time. I just I have to switch between screens in Windows whenever I wish. So yesterday, for instance, I played a bit of Assassin's Creed II on the TV and later I played it on the PC monitor. Because I could.
  22. Yeah, I'm waiting for those tons, as well.
  23. That's nice, especially considering it came out on the 17th.
  24. Well, yeah, but a major chunk of the western world has been sitting down in front of something 8 hours a day for the past 70 years. And that's the model for successful civilization. So the human race has probably already signed its own death sentence. Or perhaps a 13% increase in risk of death is actually silly and meaningless. I wonder how much the risk of me dying increases every time I step out my home. Or every time I enter the bathtub. Or every time I eat out. Or every time I do anything.
