@Monkeylungs: Can you explain why you find the combat in DS3 weak? Also, regarding rumble, I think it's probably the worst successful gimmick in the history of video games. It doesn't achieve anything other than drawing attention to the interface between the player and the game.

Definitely no argument there. DS3 would have felt strange to me if I had played it on the PC too. My PC, my gamepad, and my big screen TV take issue with that. Oh, and actually, I've found I prefer to play Dungeon Siege 3 with a controller on my monitor when playing alone. Only on co-op do I prefer to switch to the TV.

Please stop lying to yourself and others, you make yourself look like a clueless buffoon. Mouse and keyboard is precise, flexible and superior to any control scheme. That really depends on the game. Unreal Tournament will always play better on M&K. Blazblue, not so much.

Also, by now Dungeon Siege 3 is probably the best RPG purchase I've made since Risen. It focuses almost exclusively on the combat, but one of the big problems with ARPGs on the PC is that they never ever focus on the combat mechanics. So it's a big breath of fresh air for me. I'll take this any day of the week over playing the same game over and over again on a random map.

I paid 30 euros for the PC game, by the way. Pre-ordered.

It isn't any shorter than your average console AAA shooter and it sports more complex combat, narrative, and more varied enemies and set pieces. You can argue that most AAA games are generally too expensive for what they offer, but DS3 isn't a game that falls outside the current norm as far as content is concerned.

VGC's numbers are for the week ending on the 18th of June. The game came out on the 17th but only in Europe. What numbers would be good numbers? 40,000 in one day doesn't seem so bad to me.

Was it common knowledge that all those titles sold loads within the first 10 days of release? I wasn't aware. I thought no one knew until someone official said something pertaining the games' commercial success. I don't know about what people accepted or didn't accept regarding the sales of New Vegas. I also don't know what sort of success is expected for DS3. I don't know what the budget was for DS3 nor what Square's revenue goals are for the game.

DS3's success is debatable because we have no actual idea what this all means. Without information for most of the markets, including digital sales, and considering we don't have any actual revenue or units sold numbers for anything at all we really have no clue.

Congratulations To Jason Graves and Tim Wynn on the soundtrack,as I've been finding it to be pretty spot on. However, I've found that there is no proper way to get the official soundtrack. So are there any plans to do a nice release of the soundtrack?

The only thing that has been degraded by consoles is graphics in the past few years, which have been held back on the PC due to console limits. Dumbing down has always been around and is not the exclusive province of consoles. Likewise deep, hardcore gaming has always been around is not exclusive to the PC. In any case anyone who is a Dungeon Siege fan doesn't have a lot to stand on when complaining about dumbing down, as the first Dungeon Siege was the poster child for dumbing down at the time of release.

Yes, the monsters seem to like attacking me more than my companion. Right now I'm trying to get through the big ass spider, and my companion only keels over if I die or if actively run away.

And Shadowrun is why they almost never did it again. I only have one game that allows it: Blazblue.

Different coding for different OS's I guess. DS3 isn't a Game for Windows Live, so it's not compatible with XBOX Live.

I just bought Divinity 2 but I'm not touching it until I've had my fill of Dungeon Siege 3. I demand an apology and a t-shirt from Obsidian.

The Steam client is terrible as far as performance is concerned, and it's the main reason why my PC takes too long to start.

Try starting the game directly from the executable.

I was waiting for a deal on that and promptly snatched it up. I'll only play it after I'm done with Witcher 2 and at least one playthrough of DS3, though.

Labadal fails at film watching. I saw the X-Men the other day and it was very enjoyable. Great performances from both leads and from the villain. McAvoy and Fassbender really make the film work. The plot is a bit iffy especially with emotions and the girl playing Mystique was terrible.
