  1. OK I got it figured out. What confused me was that the basic melee attack was shock based and so it seemed the basic attack was covered under lightning. I see now that it is not. Bob
  2. I understand that part. But let's take healing as an example. The user can augment its effects at level up. Does anything affect the AOE spell the same way?
  3. What is the point of the picture of the character that can equip the item if you can access your companion's inventory wouldn't it be better to highlight them in red? Sorry I am usually better about my questions. How does one increase Reinhart's AOE spell damage? I can understand what affects lightning but what but not the entropy? Does increasing the trap spell help it?
  4. How does the area effect spell fit system. It is not a trap but does increasing the trap effect damage work for the area effect spell? In addition, once you in the merchant interface there is no way to tell what equipment will work on your character nor is it mentioned in the manual. This is a bad thing. Bob
  5. I've been playing it on my laptop. I have a Sony Vaio GRT170. It has a P4 2.8GHz 768MB memory and a GeForce 5600Go w.64MB of video memory. I have a few problems. I get occasional slowdowns and I get stuttering sound sometimes but other than that it runs fairly OK. I use the following settings: Resolution: 1024x768 Music: Turned off Software sound Also I should mention that the keyboard is inadequate for Swoop Racing. This was discovered with KOTOR and I suspect it is the same now. At that time it was impossible to win because it seemed that the key strokes would not take effect fast enough. Fortunately, it is not necessary to Swoop race this time. I admit there are times I am tempted to turn down the resolution but I've been sticking it out at 1024x768. I suspect in most cases 64MB of frame buffer memory would be OK, however, my AGP aperture size is fixed in the system bios at 64MB so that is a real drawback. Bob
  6. The way I defeated them was by hitting them with stasis field. Then opening some distance between them and my party. I then threw cryro grenades or adhesive grenades to stick them to the ground. Once they were stuck I used ranged attacks. However, watch out for Thermal detonators as they are so powerful they will blow the merc out of whatever you have used to stick them to the ground. Bob
