  1. Well, this sucks...
  2. English players are generally overrated. Wayne Rooney would be the most obvious example.
  3. Germany [2] - Turkey [1] Spain [1] - Russia [3]
  4. Russia played a pretty good game, Xard.
  5. Does anyone doubt that the final will be Italy-Germany?
  6. Don't be stupid, be a smarty, come and join Worms World Party!
  7. Sure.
  8. Johao? The little forkers. Well, thanks MC That was just what I wanted to know. I'm guessing that that mod which changes leader's names works with this mod. Edit: Is Kingdoms required for this to work?
  9. Well you know my real name, so you should know that's not the right spelling.
  10. First, with the creation of Israel they didn't, in any way, try to avoid a new World War so I don't see where you're coming with that. Secondly while obviously they couldn't have predicted terrorism in its modern form, they certainly should have predicted the war that immediately started right after the British pulled out of the region, and the conflicts that continued and the tensions that mounted in the area over the next decades, which of course were completely avoidable.
  11. Oh, I see! I'd say you are about right, then.
  12. It seems like the provinces were fixed. Portugal no longer controls the province of Aragon. Have the names of the generals been changed? Thanks again!
  13. No, it would have been better not to give the Jews any state whatsoever. Also, hindsight wasn't necessary to see what was coming to the region.
  14. There are dialogues that are affected by your character stats. And there's driving.
  15. Of course.
  16. The founding of the modern Israeli state was perhaps, the most idiotic act in international politics ever. It just boggles the mind. "Let's create a Jewish state by decree in the middle of Muslim territory, thus dislocating and pissing off Muslim tribes in the region, and every single Muslim state. Oh, and while we're at it, will give the Jews control over of the Muslim holy cities." A retarded monkey could have figured out what the consequences would be.
  17. Would you mind starting the game with Portugal and checking out the differences to vanilla? Or perhaps take some screenies.
  18. I'm in.
  19. DMC4's demo. Those ice beasties are giving me trouble.
  20. Not that I know of. He's only 30. But I'm not talking about just one game. It seems like every game they play Portugal performs as if it needs a first class goal scorer, and that shouldn't happen. Not every single game. Even against lesser teams during qualifying Portugal struggled with the goal scoring, and not because of the lack of a pure forward, but rather from a difficulty in creating enough chances, which, with these players is just unacceptable. Also, while Nuno Gomes was never a particularly good player, he seems to come up with the goods at major tournaments, and I think he did that again at Euro 2008 even if he just scored one goal. He was an essential part of a few of the goals Portugal scored and generally was one of the better attackers in Portugal's campaign. So, if you ask me a lack of a true goalscorer was one of Portugal's lesser weaknesses. Dodgy defending, and a mediocre goalie were the real causes of Portugal's early exit.
  21. Going away? They're not going anywhere. I don't think the lack of a true goalscorer should really be such a big problem for Portugal. With the type of speedy, massively skilled attackers we've always had, Portugal should, in theory, be able to score more goals than it actually does. A Thierry Henry isn't necessary to score sitters now is it? Scolari's Portugal, even at its best, always had a problem with creating speed in its attacking movement. I mean, Deco's long range passing was great, but at Bar
  22. While Scolari is a good leader of men, he really is a crap coach. He singlehandedly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at Euro 2004, didn't manage to get Portugal to play one single decent game in the 2006 World Cup, despite playing against such illustrious opponents as Iran or even freaking Angola, and couldn't get a defense composed of Bosingwa, Pepe, Ricardo Carvalho, and Paulo Ferreira to even defend competently. Chelsea is going to be a laughing stock next season. I yearn for the day when Mourinho will coach Portugal.
  23. Portugal's defense is really dropping the ball. Which with these players is just unforgivable. And some kind of coaching feat. I haven't seen Scolari's Portugal play with a properly organized defense yet. And I'm not just talking about Euro 2008.
