  1. Quake 2 isn't better than the first one, either.
  2. They are developing it in the sense that they are committing resources to its production.
  3. Actually, I enjoyed the work a lot, so that's not the problem. Although, obviously, it's better to do the subtitling with a show you like than with one you don't. I'll stop derailing the thread, now.
  4. I watched quite a few episodes (first or second season, I guess) of this professionally, doing subtitling, and watching it frame by frame really allowed me to see how awfully done the script and characters were.
  5. It seems to me that the problem with the "torture doesn't work" argument is that it assumes that torture is just a simple hurt and terrorize them until they talk. However, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't a lot more complex, developed and subtle than movie torture. Stockholm syndrome comes to mind, for example.
  6. Actually, I wasn't being sarcastic, even if everyone thought I was. It's like demanding the army not to kill anyone. It's missing the point.
  7. How does an intelligence service work if it can't torture people once in a while?
  8. If you want people to stop smoking tobacco, just make marijuana legal at the same time you make tobacco illegal.
  9. I was complimenting the British, actually. Their devious ways are what made them great. As for the knife carrying, I'd imagine all the gun freedom loving Americans should be for it not against it, on account of consistency. And the opposite for everyone else.
  10. British culture is one of dividing to conquer, stoking strife, attacking other cultures for money and glory while acting posh and generally being hypocritical about it. The British Empire wasn't one of the greatest of all time by accident. The Sikh could teach the English a thing or four about honour.
  11. Devil May Cry takes itself seriously? That's a new one.
  12. The thing about smoking tobacco is that it isn't psychotropic in any perceptible way. So what's the point? It's like trying to get drunk from drinking 7up.
  13. BG guru? Aren't these forums filled with people who've replayed the BGs a bunch of times? I know I'm one of them.
  14. A Victorian age inspired setting with anachronistic technological achievements.
  15. Bioshock wasn't steampunk.
  16. Ooh, I wish I could be there.
  17. The ignorant Americans don`t know about Zorglub.
  18. Are you now arguing with me about taste? No. I remember three songs, two of those were incredibly boring. So, there either are good ones which I missed, or... I'm arguing with you about taste. Lelianas song and the one that plays in end credits are really good... but thats about it. He isn't bad but he isn't great either. I hope someone else does the FO-NV score. Wot, the suicide inducing one from that generic rock band?
  19. It seems to me that if the plot isn't wasted away in the same fashion as Fahrenheit, and if the Simon says scetions aren't there at all, this could turn out to be a very interesting game, even if the core gameplay is as unsatisfactory as the bits shown in the videos seem to be. I'd play this if it was on PC.
  20. You got the special edition from The Hut, already? I'm still waiting.
  21. Closed for length. Go here to discuss ME2.
