A night at a hospital can run you $10-20k even without surgery. There are major problems with health care costs in this country. This bill doesn't fix that, but it could open the door to further reform. So a night at a hospital costs more than a night at the Waldorf Astoria with everything available from room service plus hookers and blow? Freaky.

Ah, I see, you think Im Republican and therefore object for that reason. Thats not the case, I hate stupid ideas no matter who generates them. And fyi, 100% of the Republicas voted against this bill. 100% of the Republicans voted against the bill because a) it was healthcare (not because of spending - they're quite happy to spend BIG, in fact history indicates more so than Democrats), b) it was a Democrat bill. As far as I know that's how the opposition works in every single democratic government: They vote against whatever the government wants, and they vote as a bloc on any issue they deem fundamental.

The point of the episode was that both Sawyers are good Sawyers. In any case, in general, the parallel timeline has been a way to show that the characters are mostly redeemable, even Ben, who had one of the better episodes in the new season. I've actually begun to care for the guy, even though he was generally a rat bastard for most of the show.

My vote goes for the Death Star

I played a bit of FFXIII on the 360 and it was pretty ba your average Final Fantasy experience. Move forward in a very tight corridor; close your eyes and hold A when attacked.

Today I saw the following: The Hurt Locker - Doesn't really say anything particularly interesting about war, but manages to present us with a couple of great characters. The acting is great, especially by Anthony Mackie, and the direction really succeeds in maintaining things tense during the missions. Also, the film handles death very well. All in all, pretty damn good. The Men Who Stare at Goats - It felt like a fairly dumb guy found some great material for a story, managed to recognize it as such, and then proceeded to waste it. It has its moments of humor and a great cast but it was still uninspired. The Fantastic Mr. Fox - Made outstanding by the writing of Roald Dahl, while reminding me why I like Wes Anderson so much. The soundtrack was great, the art direction was great, the impressive cast does a very, very nice job and the pace was top notch. A lot of fun.

They would gain martyrdom. From my understanding, there is no greater sacrifice than sacrificing yourself for the jihad by taking out the enemies of Allah. If Iran got nuclear weapons, it would not surprise me for them to use such terrible weapons against Israel regardless the consequences. They would sacrifice their nation if it means to remove a nation that is, in their view, an enemy of God. You have to understand that the political leadership of Iran isn't quite as keen on martyrdom as the general ignorant fundamentalist Muslim. They are leaders because they like power and want to keep it, not because they're trying to achieve moral victory against "evil".

Florence. Prague. Istanbul. This would only be awesome if they recreated the actual cities, though.

I cannot possibly agree with that assertion. If anything the 1920s were about forging the foundations of intellectualism, anti-patriotic fervour and pacifism. Anti-patriotic fervour? No. Politically, the first half of the 20th century in Europe, including the 1920s, was all about ultra-nationalistic fervour. That tendency was only reversed by the massive carnage that Europe saw in WWII, which eventually led to relatively peaceful, non aggressive political stances all over Europe.
