Using Lucas as an example, are there armours that are better suited for the one handed stance, than for the two handed stance?

I'm going to play this with a fairly inexperienced gamer, so I was wondering how user friendly is Dungeon Siege 3. How do the tutorials in DSIII work? Are they integrated into the plot? How in depth are they? Can you skip them? What about general in game help? Is there a help menu you can access when the game is paused? Are there tool tips and UI button prompts (press A to open door, etc)? Additionally, on PC, do the button prompts recognize the input device being used and change appropriately?

Regarding those inventory screens, the items seem sorted to me. All the swords are together, all the guns are together, and I'm guessing the clothes that are separated, are separated by character. So the clothes next to the guns, for example, may be Katarina's clothes
