Biggest nonsense you've ever seen from a game.

Heh. I remember that wizard assassin. It was my first time playing BG 1 and my first time experience with any kind of D&D. Up until that point I was just clicking on Xvarts and Gibberlings and my fighter would smack them down while Imoen peppered them with arrows. It was going quite well. It didn't work that way with the wizard. He killed me fairly quickly. I honestly had no idea what he was doing. I finally equipped bows and arrows and shot at him while running away. -
I loved Anachronox! It was just plain fun and funny. Here is a link to the game played out like a movie. http://www.machinima.com/film/view&id=231

I'm much more excited about Alpha Protocol. Just because its a RPG not set in a fantasy/scifi universe. Plus spy action seems awesome.

Looking forward to MoW.

Haha, thats what I pictured. I am Legend was pretty boring for me too. Please Will Smith or whoever is responsible, stop making mediocre movies out of excellent books. I Robot was enough. Just stop. Please stop. Great...now all editions of I am Legend will have Will Smith's image plastered over them. I watched Predator over the weekend. Still fun after all these years.

I would love to see this. No shows in California though. I wanted to become a paleontologist when I was growing up. I love reading about evolution and extinction. Very interesting subjects.

Can you really see jaggies at that resolution?

I don't think physical standards should be lowered if they are the necessary requirements to do the job. If a woman can pass the same physical requirements that men are required to take, she should be allowed to join. Anything less would put the team in danger methinks. Shouldn't a SWAT team going into a potentially hazardous situation be confident that each team member possesses the physical strength and endurance to overcome any environmental or human obstacle that presents itself? Whether that might be subduing an unarmed individual or scaling a wall or running up 25 flights of stairs to then subdue a fleeing suspect, the team should be confident that all members can do whatever the job requires. If a woman shows that she can, then she should be allowed to join. Standards should not be lowered. If SWAT teams are using excessive force and tactics, I don't think sticking some women on the team for their communication and negotiation skills is necessarily the answer. Aren't there specially trained police negotiators for that kind of job? Do they have to be on a SWAT team to perform those duties? Maybe they should review the SWAT deployment process instead of lowering standards. Just be reading the article, it seems like SWAT teams decide on their own negotiation and entry/rescue/suppression tactics. Maybe delegating negotiation tactics to other specialized groups and having SWAT go in when all else fails might be better I know nothing about SWAT or police procedure. Just my thoughts

I don't get it. Is that a new Pokemon game? I was at Officemax to buy some paper when I noticed TRON 2.0 in the bargain bin for 5 bucks. Since I hadn't played it, I picked it up and am installing now.

I read the 64 bit version of Vista could support 8gb of memory. http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/02/15/vis...shop/index.html. I'm planning to do this.

I find most people I interact with on a daily basis polite. Maybe because I'm older now and deal with older people, but most are cordial and pleasant. Strangely, I have heard stories about impolite women on feminista power trips, but I have yet to actually meet one. Probably because I'm too handsome and they swoon all over me. I've also witnessed people, ususally teenage boys or girls, taking up two or more spaces on a bus or train. Most of the time they are sleeping or otherwise staring blankly at nothing. Frankly I don't think people say anything because its not worth the time and effort. Forgive my callous dismissal on today's youth. But, I've found it preferable to be polite and patient rather than rude and demanding. Not to say that I let people walk over me, but usually its better to let the other person have some breathing room as well. I take the stance that they are just as busy and hectic as I am and hassling them won't accomplish things any faster or better. Most of the time, people will appreciate that.

Final Fantasy VII,a game with bad graphics but great gameplay
Azure79 replied to The Owner's topic in Computer and Console
I played FF7 when I was in college. I played the PC version. This was the time I was first exposed to RPGs in general, since I started playing the Infinity Engine games around this time. Up until that point, I was happy just playing Starcraft, and FPS games. Although Starcraft intrigued me with the single player campaign. Something about the general atmosphere pulled me in. It was probably because the whole JRPG thing was new to me. The cast of characters was likable but I didn't grow attached to Aeris or Sephiroth like a lot of people seem to. It was hard to take the characters seriously with their super-deformed art style and enormous eyes. Ah well. However I liked the combat and music walking around the world map exploring and leveling up. It was a new and novel experience at the time. It actually made me go back and play FF6, which I enjoyed a lot more. I tried FF5 and FF4 but didn't get far. The last FF game I played to completion is FF8, but I cheated using an editor because I didn't want to waste time drawing magic. FF10...I couldn't stand the random battles. FF12 I enjoyed at first, but lost interest midway. I should go back and finish it. All in all, FF7 was a great game when I played it, but I don't think I could play it again now. I think FF6 holds up better. I'm actually playing FF6 advance on my DS and am finding it really enjoyable. -

Titan Quest and the expansion, Immortal Throne, are good games. It is a Diablo clone, but a well executed one. I didn't waste large amounts of my life like I did with Diablo, but it was a fun romp.

Best Graphics Cards at Present and in the Future

Does anyone have one of those triple displays set up? Looks pretty sweet. Maybe I'll go for that. 3 19inc monitors are cheaper than one 30in monitor.
