  1. My biggest problem with Kinect is that its something that kids love, and pretty much just kids. Unfortunately, it has trouble detecting kids, making it pretty much useless for small kids. Got my kids Just Dance kids, and they spend more time trying to get the kinect to see them than actually playing. doesn't help that it recommends you stand 10 feet from the camera, and not a lot of people have that kind of space.
  2. On to Assassins Creed 3, and other than the combat system overhall I don't get the hate. Better than Revelations
  3. Been playing Assassin's Creed Revelations since about 6pm today, with a couple small breaks of a half hour or so, so around 4-5 hours worth of playing. Suddenly crashes, I boot it back up and my save is corrupted. Crashes every time I try to load it. I was in memory sequence 8 when it crashed. Someone suggested restoring a previous version of my save folder, which worked, but I lost everything I did today. Edit: Ok wierd. Restoring my saves from 8:30 am this morning has somehow just decorrupted my savegame from an hour ago, so I didn't actually lose anything. Awesome.
  4. Guardians of the Galaxy and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Both were good, but I liked Guardians a lot more. Probably my favorite movie in a long time. Drax was hilarious.
  5. Steam gave me 3 coupons for 60% off Broken Sword 5 if anyone wants one
  6. Last Gen AssCreed game is called Rogue. Stars an ex-assasin turned Templar who hunts Assassins.
  7. I don't see the problem with day one DLC. The game has to be content locked for a while before release, nothing wrong with having the staff with little else to do, unlessthey are ready to move on to another project, polish up a bit of content they couldn't get into the game before release and get it out digitally.
  8. Dei Gratia is available, which I believe was the core of Magna Mundi's religious event chains and such. I believe a lot of stuff that Magna Mundi pioneered for EU3 was just added to the game via expansions and then ended up in the base game of EUIV anyway. Suikoden has been dead to me since 3. Even among awful JRPGs that one stood out considering the quality of its predecessors. I tried 4 and that was just like 5/10 mediocrity (which is beneath "worth playing" in gaming parlance.) I loved Suikoden 3. 4 was the worst, 5 was almost as good as 2, so I recommend giving that one a shot.
  9. You can turn off auto patching too.
  10. I wouldn't mind an RPG in the vein of the Continuum tv series. Modern day setting, but you can get some cool weapons and tech powers due to existence of time travellers and such. I wouldn't mind some sort of Adventure/RPG a la the Quest for Glory games in that kind of setting either.
  11. The Last Mythal trilogy by Richard Baker. Its not bad, not some of the better FR books I've read, but not bad. I think the Erevis Cale stuff has been my favorite in the FR so far.
  12. Finished Assassins Creed Brotherhood, moving on to Revelations. Ezio looks like a bearded gorilla now, and Desmond looks like he got stung by some bees. The engine change was not kind, especially since Ezio really isn't that much older than he was at the end of Brotherhood, which is what people use to justify it. Like 3 hours into it so far and its definitely far from as bad as I've heard, so hoping same thing happens with 3.
  13. I've had a lot more problems with Origin than with Steam. My Origin version of Dragon Age: Origins wouldn't download the DLC I had bought, and it flat out wouldn't download my games a couple times, where Steam the only issue I've had is Steamguard sometimes forgets my IP and I have to re-authenticate.
  14. Heels are poop, and the colour makes her look like Xena. Otherwise not bad.
  15. I was looking forward to that cancelled pirate rpg set in the Pirates of the Caribbean world.
  16. I think one of the major issues here is that "Hamas" and "Palestinians" are used interchangeably.
  17. Yeah, we had a talk with her about never eating anything she finds growing unless we say its ok. We really need to hammer it home for my boy when he understands better because he eats everything. Ate the coating off my xbox controller analog stick.
  18. Probably. Turns out they're cherry plums though
  19. Anyone know what this is? Found my daughter eating them. They are about the size of a cherry tomato and taste a bit like peach. Edit: for some reason the site uploaded the pic sideways.
  20. Beat Assassins Creed 2. Ezio was an idiot. Also, the game was terrible at showing the passage of time. 22 years pass between the start amd the finish and it seems more like 1 or 2. Loved it though. On to Brotherhood.
  21. I'm confused by all the "Israel was attacked I the 6 day war" stuff. Everything I've read indicates it was an Israeli sneak attack on the surroundig countries.
  22. Yeah, I had Xcom, so I couldn't justify going to 20 just for infinite... which I might not even play.
  23. that's where I got them.
  24. Got keys for The Darkness 2, The Bureau: Xcom Declassified, and Spec Ops: The Line if anyone wants them
  25. I am not sure if I understand correctly, and I am not Sims fan, but what emotions have to do with pools? That explanation is fishy at best People comparing it to EA's explaination on why SimCity had to be always online and couldn't have large cities. Largely bull, with a little bit of misdirection.
