What are you playing now - the plays the thing
Labadal replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Computer and Console
Completed the Golden Cat mission in Dishonored. Roaming the place, I found the person I was supposed to rescue by mistake. Didn't alert anyone, got all runes, bone charms and paintings. Went the non-lethal route. -
Thorvalla Pledged $15.

My favorite pizza is: -Mozarella cheese (can be something else too) -Tomato sauce -Fillet of pork (think I'm using the right description) Small pieces spread around the pizza. -Bolognese -Jalapeno -Onion -Garlic (don't always use it) -Red paprika (pickled is godly with the other ingredients, but fresh(?) works fine if you don't like pickled. I don't like it well baked. But that means that when you work with the crust, you need to know what you are doing, or it will not be easy getting the pizza out of the oven.

Can't go to work today either, wich means money down the drain.

Watched more The Wire episodes from season 2. Wasn't impressed by the first episode, but it's become better after that. I have a feeling Zig is going to die or get someone killed.

I demand no tutorial.

They can make it completely optional like they did it in Neverwinter Nights 2. -
Been sick since Thursday. That's what you get working with kids.

New Races?
Labadal replied to BetrayTheWorld's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I'm sure we'll see new races. They have already mentioned 2 playable races that are unique to this world. Remember that there will probably be more non-playable races scattered around the world. -
Changing companion alignment.
Labadal replied to Labadal's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
There doesn't have to be an alignment per se. Let's call it personality instead. My basic idea is still the same. Meet a good natured person and influence that person enough, and slowly, that person will have developed a different world view by the end of the game. -
Obsidian currently working on next-gen console title
Labadal replied to funcroc's topic in Obsidian General
I sure hope so. With SP: SoT almost done and the smaller development scope (~20 man team) of PE, they need another project. -
Magic Styles/Specialization?
Labadal replied to Somna's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Osvir: Yep, it motivates the player to try different spell combos, and maybe even weaker spells can then have some use later in the game. -
It depends. I don't want a character that joins me later in the game to be level 1. That companion would then be useless for quite some time. If I get a new companion, I'd like to be able to use him/her right away. It wouldn't be a big deal if he/she is a few levels lower, but if I'm level 10 and the companion joins me at level 1, what would he/she be able to do in combat other than dying? If I'm level 3 and I get a level 1 companion, then we are game. That would be a completely different situation. So for me, it depends how late that party member joins the group.

Magic Styles/Specialization?
Labadal replied to Somna's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I don't know. How about a druid having a spell that flings rocks at the enemies and the wizard has a fireestorm spell, and when combined, they create some kind of meteor storm. I'm full of (awful?) ideas today. -
Suggestions for when (if) Alpha Protocol 2 is made1
Labadal replied to bucdawg's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
Make it a 2D isometric game. You don't play as one spy, you actually control a party of three. Sneaking is still very much possible. To clear missions without any kills, your companions have to use their different abilities to help eachother out. -
Magic Styles/Specialization?
Labadal replied to Somna's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I thought "co-op magic" was something that would be possible in PE? Freeze someone, and then use another spell to shatter that person into million pieces, and other tactical spell combinations. -
Randomization and Replayability
Labadal replied to anubite's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
After seeing the waterfall screen, I'm not sure if we'll see randomized dungeons. I'd rather see a handcrafted world. If there are randomized locations, I hope there are only a few places, and that they aren't very important. Maybe caves that you enter that have a random layout. -
Combat and/or story?
Labadal replied to Frisk's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Story is the thing I'm most interested in. If the combat is good/great, that is a big bonus. I've liked the combat in most rpgs, but sometimes there can be way too many encounters the closer you come to the end. -
Changing companion alignment.
Labadal replied to Labadal's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Because it's interesting? It adds more options, I suppose. Usually when you play as an evil character, the chances are that you'll lose a lot of companions. This shouldn't always be the case. In the real world, people follow other people even if they know they one they are following might not be that good of a guy. Why should this not be possible in video games? Something like this shouldn't be possible to do for every character you recruit, but it would be interesting and it allows the writers to do something we don't see very often. Maybe the whole idea isn't good, but I'd like to see something like this in PE. -
Changing companion alignment.
Labadal replied to Labadal's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
It is true that it has been done before, but not enough (in my opinion). That could be another interesting take on companions changing alignment. It doesn't only have to be the way I described it. Or maybe you corrupt a character so much that he becomes as greedy or evil as you. You'd think that the two of you would get along very well, but then it all backfires when that character wants to get rid of you. He's become worse than you. There is no longer a reason for that companion to travel with you because you're no longer needed and he thinks he can handle himself on his own. Maybe he just wants to overthrow you and be the leader of the party? Or something like that. It shouldn't only have good consequences. -
Ouch, I had fever too, but not as bad as yours sounds. I did have an awful cough and a sore throat (still do).

I voted for snow mountain even if I'm okay with most enviroments if done right. I'm not a big fan of tundra and rocky barrens. Deserts are also usually not very interesting.

Changing companion alignment.
Labadal replied to Labadal's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
This could be done without a visible influence system too. Of course. Like in Throne of Bhaal, for instance. I only mentioned the Influence system because it's become something of a staple in Obsidian games. Yes, I know. It will be interesting to learn how the influence system will work in PE. Because I think we'll see it in the game in some form.
