Yakuza 3 is so damn good. I like it even better than Y4. One question though, have you played Yakuza Dead Souls as well? and what are your thoughts about the game? I have only played the numbered games. Dead Souls seemed like a different genre using Yakuza characters. When I read there was a lot of shooting, I made up my mind: no buy. If only we had gotten Kenzan.

If they were fans of the graphic novel and didn't like it, they were probably purists. If they weren't fans of the graphic novel, they were probably bored out of their skulls. I couldn't appreciate the movie before I read the graphic novel - and in fact I think they should have changed much more because as far as transferring a graphic novel to the big screen it worked fine, but as a standalone movie I felt it was a bit of a failure. There's a reason filmmakers never just use exactly what's on the page - it's because comic books are a completely different medium. I think it did an okay job as a standalone movie, but you're right that things could have been done differently.

Watched the Watchmen. It was a movie I had intended to see when it premiered at the cinema, but a busy schedule made that more difficult than it should have been. Some months sent by, then years, and today I finally watched it I have to say it was worth it. Don't get what some of my friends thought were wrong with it, because I could see they did not like it as much as me.

More Darksiders II. Getting more comfortable with combat and doing some nice combos.

The grammar in their Kickstarter is questionable (so is mine in all my posts). Could be a fun game, but it's not something I'll support via Kickstarter itself. I keep an eye on lots of projects that get funded, so if it turns out to be a good game, I might pick it up. (This was posted in the wrong section.)

Non-battle companions

I would like that. Not everyone you know has to join you in battle. What if you meet a mage that is great at creating artefacts and the like, but hasn't been in many battles? Maybe he/she would still be interested to help in his/her own way. -
No romances, level scaling and learn by doing. If those are not in, I'll be a happy camper. Romances can be ignored, so if they are in, that won't bother me as much as the other two.

Did an optional dungeon in Darksiders 2. I've read that the first world/hub is the best. I haven't played the others, but I'm having a lot of fun right now.

Oh, it was not aimed at you, but from what I have read, they want to make it more accessible. There have also been some changes in leader roles for DS2.

Nah, the good points are the exploration and combat system. Better AI because it feels lame to pull enemies one by one. Why do you play like a coward then? And if they're in close group the all come at you. And the bonfire system is a good point. If a player must replenish his healing items, magic, miracles, pyromancies, repair,... then it's only fair all the enemies respawn. If you don't have to, nothing will respawn unless you move far far away from the area. They'll make an easy mode for DS2, I'm almost cerain. I didn't finish Dark Souls because of Blight Town. I find it unplayable and my head and eyes hurt. A shame since I liked the game.

I just hope that if someone do they'll grab Vigil with it. Darksiders II has plenty of problems, but I thought it was an improvement from the original and had more of an identity, and with a bit of guidance from veteran developers, a third game could develop into something really impressive. From the possible buyers that have been mentioned, I hope to see Warner Bros win this one, despite them not having the best track record on PC.

Started Darksiders II. The combat is more fun, and the enviromental designs are very impressive. I wonder who will end up buying the Darksiders Trademark/IP.

Completed Vanquish. This game should have sold 20 million copies. I can't come up with any tps that can even compare to it. I want my sequel.

Players making five trips in and out of a dungeon after clearing it to haul all of the loot out. People actually do that? Make numerous trips in and out to loot every common bauble? I usually just replace whatever was the least valuable object in my bags with whatever more valuable thing I just found. Im not 100% clear how having an inaccessible portion of your pack prevents that. So then I assume loot decays after a some time? You'd be surprised how many people do that. I used to do the same thing. I can't be bothered doing that now, but some years ago? Loot it all, no matter how many trips it took. -

My barbarian elf mostly avoids other people's "objectives". He's kind of a fantasy anarchist. I agree with you about people being a bit silly. I don't know about obnoxious though (you sound kind of mad?), I find the word "sheep" more appropriate. My post wasn't aimed at you personally(I know I quoted you) even if I found it a bit silly (not obnoxious). I'm not saying everyone has to like this approach and some people argument about their viewpoint in a good way. However, there are some pisters in here that are acting in a very childish manner. I like it when people chip in with their opinions, but there are good ways and bad ways to do it. -

A big question mark appears over my head. Killing enemies doesn't mean you won't get exp. A lot (most?) of objectives will most probably involve combat. Clearing that objective (fight your way into enemy territory or whatever) will grant you exp. I think some people here are being silly and obnoxious. -

There really isn't a problem. It's just a "Ew, DIFFERENT" reaction that people can have to something Pen and Paper campaigns can do all the time. I don't mind those systems either, but they are easy to abuse if one wants to. I finished my replay of PS:T today. Most of the exp came from solving quests. At the beginning of the game, thugs did give exp in fights, but the exp wasn't really a big deal. It wasn't even comparable to exp awarded from completed quests. I chose to fight in some quests, not because I thought it would grant me lots of exp, no, it was because I wanted to see how I would fare in those fights. -
My thorax is hurting like hell. Turns out I most probably have an inflammation. I'll go grab the medicine tomorrow. Today I just stayed home playing games after I came back from work.

No one ever played Vampire: Bloodlines - The Masquerade? I'm assuming exp will work in a similar way in Eternity, and I don't mind at all. I don't see what the problem is? They'll offer different ways to solve quests but want to give similar exp to different solutions. Let's not pretend that a lot of gamers don't powergame and go for the option that gives most exp. Not because it is the solution they actually want from a story perspective, but just to get the most exp out of the system. Let's say your about to make your way into a fortress. You either engage the guards and gain entrance. This grants you objective exp. But maybe another player wants to sneak in through a hidden back entrance. He'll also gain objective xp. I don't see what the problem is. I wouldn't automatically avoid combat just for gaining exp from the other option. If I make a character that can handle himself well in a fight, I will try to force my way through.
