  1. Played Planescape: Torment for 8 hours straight. First playthrough was many years ago as fighter with lots of STR and CON. This time, I'm doing it with INT, WIS and CHA. So much better. You also get a better understanding about some comments different characters make.
  2. Had a quiet Christmas, but will celebrate this day with parents/brothers, grandparents and uncles + cousins. Already had a crazy meal. Had some arak with the meat, it's a godly combination. Not been drinking enough to get drunk, but the chances of that happening in the next few hours are big. Happy New Year.
  3. I enjoyed the first level or two in MGS4, then it basically felt like 10 minute cutscenes, 5 minutes of gameplay, rinse and repeat.
  4. Double tap on the arrow keys, I think.
  5. A little repetitive but more frustrating if I had to describe it. If I just had the ability to block and dodge, I wouldn't care. You had to dodge in the first Risen and time your attacks. Throwing sand does nothing, kicking them does nothing, and distracting them with a parrot does nothing... it's just frustrating. I haven't tried voodoo yet so I am considering another play-through with the natives. I did enjoy the story and its' characters. And I agree, exploration was good, but I think suffered a bit due to smaller islands... and the loot you find in ruins/caves isn't that great. It still has the PB feel to it -- the farther you get from civilization, the worse it gets. So no qualms there. They added block and dodge to the PC version but not the console versions. I guess by the time they patched that in, a lot of people had already finished the game.
  6. Tried the single player portion of Starhawk. Not bad, and it makes me want to buy the online part. The reason I won't is that I'm awful at everything that has to do with competitive multiplayer. Been playing Planescape: Torment and Legend Heroes: Trails in the Sky in small bursts.
  7. 1. Mark of the Ninja 2. Tales of Graces f (Not finished but almost done.) 3. Rayman Origins 4. Sleeping Dogs 5. Dishonored 6. Risen 2: Dark Waters 7. Trine 2 8. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (HD release on PSN in March) 9. Penny Arcade's on the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 10. Sound Snapes These are actually the 2012 releases I have completed. None of these games are on the list because of good story, instead they are on the list because they had fun gameplay, Risen 2 for its exploration, despite not being as good as the first one. If I counted games released anytime, then Mark of the Ninja would be in 4th place at best.
  8. Worth it, do you think? I'm disappointed they won't actually get a move on with KB2. Loved Legend & AP but didn't try Crossworlds. Crossworlds is not worth your money or time, imo. Arena mode, but the battles aren't even fun.
  9. I'm up at 3am and still not sleepy. I'll go ask someone in the house to knock me out.
  10. I've only bought XCOM, and that wasn't even directly from Steam. I bought KOTOR2 during the Autumn sale because I wanted a digital copy. So, 2 games bought during the last two sales.
  11. Got Xcom: Enemy Unknown for $17.50 from Green Man Gaming. Activates on Steam.
  12. I'm trying to complete as many quests as possible before I confront Ravel Puzzlewell.
  13. I forgot to unequip Morte's Ingress teeth, they are now gone. Is there anyway one could get them back? Lol, I'm a stupid/sad panda.
  14. Now I remember why I The Lower Ward section in PST is one of my favorite parts of the game: There's barely any fighting in this part of the game.
  15. I played games most of the day yesterday. Started off with Tales of Graces f. Then my brother asked me if I wanted to play Borderlands. A few hours later, I picked up the PSP to play Legend of Heroes: ****. At 1am, me and my brother played Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One.
  16. Reached the Lower Wards in Planescape: Torment.
  17. Merry Christmas to you all. This will probably be one of the more boring ones for me. Will celebrate with my parents and siblings. Edit: We usually celebrate with a lot of relatives, but this isn't happening this year.
  18. Watched the Tintin movie. I might not be the biggest fan of the graphical style of it, but the movie basically did everything else right.
  19. Reading this feels like someone stabbed at my heart with a bastard sword.
  20. It's a messed up situation. 4 guys I knew personally were deported back to their home countries. The way some of them managed to actually make it here is a half miracle in itself. They all had work and wanted to prove their worth. They weren't here just for kicks. Now they're back in Syria and look at that ****ing place now. We have other immigrants that have no intention to work, they just leech on the wellfare programs. How they got to stay is a very interesting question to me. Life (people) isn't (aren't) always fair, I guess.
  21. I agree that this is a very interesting read if you like Obsidian.
  22. That was literally a druid spell in BG2. EDIT: Except I think it was actually "an image so beautiful the person who looks at it dies". This has been done before, but I'd like for effects that reflects the description of the spell, that's all.
  23. They'd need to get a distributor and they would have to market the game. Both these things require a lot of money. I'm just guessing here, so I don't pretend what I'm saying equals hard facts.
  24. Being unwise or being realistic? That is a question we will probably get an anwser to sooner or later.
  25. Different paths for 1A, 1B, etc could give different amounts of exp, sure. As we'll have regular levelling up, I'm guessing that no matter how you solve a given situation, you will still get your non-combat and combat skillpoints to choose from when you gain a level. At least that is how I understand it from what I have been reading so far.
