Kenya Mall Attack
I don't think that's accurate at all. Groups like Al-Shabaab and Boko Haram ( the group doing all the killing in Nigeria) are based on the ideological teachings of Al-Qaeda and the origins of AQ are from the aftermath of the USSR invasion in Afghanistan. Edit: Oh I see what you mean, my bad

Kenya Mall Attack
I know these types of terrorist attacks continue to shock us with there callous indifference to loss of innocent life but this one seems to reach new levels of low Imagine taking your family on a Saturday to a mall for breakfast or some quick shopping and this happens. Al-Shabaab are barbarians and cannot be reasoned with, they need to be arrested or wiped out. That's the only thing they understand

Kenya Mall Attack
http://edition.cnn.com/2013/09/21/world/africa/kenya-mall-gunbattle/index.html So most of you are probably aware of the deplorable attack yesterday by the Islamic extremist group from Somalia, Al-Shabaab, into a large shopping mall in the capital of Kenya. Details are still coming in but what we know is between 15-25 heavily armed men walked into this mall, Westland, and basically started killing people indiscriminately. They let some Muslim people go but didn't care if women or children were killed. There is now a standoff where these militants are still in the mall and have taken hostages....I don't see a happy ending as Al-Shabaab enjoy the thought of being martyrs and they will take as many innocent people with them in the inevitable violent end to this siege Now why did they do this? Kenya lies on the border of Somalia and has committed troops and resources to a UN sponsored military campaign to wipe out Al-Shabaab in Somalia. This campaign has been mostly successful but Al-Shabaab still has territory in southern Somalia which it is defending. I can't express enough my disgust for these types of cowardly and despicable attacks on innocents from extremist groups that we still see in several countries globally

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Yeah, except that $98m on sales of $3.8 billion is a wafer thin margin and anything can happen yet given the volatile nature of the industry. And I don't think the "is BioWare going to be around in 3 years" question was about EA finances, but rather about BioWare's finances meeting EA expectations. EA has officially said they need each game to sell 5m to be profitable, and at the moment, DA:O probably (just) managed that out of all of BioWare's releases. Okay that's a different and valid concern. I had no idea that was the financial expectation from EA to Bioware. Can you provide any links that support what you are saying?

Dragon Age: Inquisition
That's what I thought, I found it hard to be believe EA would be making no Net Profit So guys this is what matters in respects to the balance sheet for EA. We can see from the information provided that EA is a profitable company. Any concern can now be put to rest...phewwww You can argue it could make more profit but I think this should address the major concerns around "is Bioware going to be around in 3 years". It is as EA is still going to be around

Don't worry Raven some of the older members are gone but there is a deluge of really cool, intelligent, good looking new members since the funding of PE started. Like .....me !! Arguably the forums have been elevated to a better place as we have even more opinions on important topics such as, ..such as, mmm...oh yes I know " what movie did you watch recently", " wow that rodent is cute" and "are consoles better than PC"

Dragon Age: Inquisition
edit: From an investment standpoint, they aren't good, because they seem to have hit a point where their profits are matching their costs. But as a business they seem as stable as you can get in the video game industry. I hate to disagree with you Hurlshot but no company will stay in business if the profits only cover the costs. So if that's true EA will need to make some serious structural changes if they intend to have any future I agree they need to restructure, pretty much every game publisher is trying to adapt to the changing market and get back to a growth phase. But if they are covering costs they are still stable. EA still makes a ton of money every year and the numbers show that they are operating within that budget, rather than taking major losses every quarter. Okay but we need to keep this simple, end of the day if the Net Profit of EA is zero that's almost as bad as running at a loss. They can't be making a ton of money and yet only covering costs? Because by its nature that comment is contradictory from a financial perspective. I find this hard to believe so I would like a more professional assessment of EA P&L statement

How many [Rings]?
LOL awesome '3' hasn't been voted for :? (I can see 2 votes for '2', 1 for '4' and 1 for '8) --- I like the idea of interfering rings (did I just say that out loud?) - as Lephys suggested - I guess it depends on how PE rings work as to how much bother it would be to code that in. If we're going to go for more than 2, then I can't see a logical reason for stopping short of 8 (if we discount thumbs). you were right I didn't make my selection, its now fixed
