  1. Have played gta3 as a kid, after that nothing, just not in to it. Don't get the hype at all. But GTA V looks revolutionary and there is a MMO element that will be released soon. Also this game has been the most expensive single player game ever to produce , $270 million to make this beauty. We need to support Rockstar in there endeavors to make gaming reach new heights http://www.dashhacks.com/ps3/ps3-rumors/gta-v-smashes-production-cost-records.html
  2. I have to be honest but I don't know anyone else who seems to suffer from such sleep inconsistencies as you Raithe After a decade of it, you get used to sleep patterns going all over the place. Well, maybe not used to it, but start establishing patterns to get things done when you're meant to be awake... sort of. Interesting, would you say its some sort of sleep disorder? Have you been to a doctor?

  4. Nah. There are probably some people in Siberia that have never played a GTA game also. Yes I'm sure there are also some people on the moon who have never played a GTA game before
  5. Have you tried using it as a liquid base for rice? That flavor seems ideal for that. Wow, good idea. And I was just asking ways to spice up my rice
  6. Its interesting actually, she is obviously feeling guilty about what she did and this is some sort of attempt to reach out to you. Its a tough one around how you respond but I would understand if you didn't respond or you were very terse in what you said to her Good luck either way
  7. Tonight I'm having Smoked Kassler Chops with a nice green crunchy salad
  8. This, after work. Conformity effects are fascinating. I haven't liked a GTA since III. I have absolutely 0 intellectual interest in GTA V. In fact, I need some sort of gimmick to be willing to glance at sandbox car theft titles. But with everyone talking about GTA V, I am for some bizarre reason considering picking it up after work... I think you need to stand by your principles and not play GTA V Think about your integrity and what people will think if they found out that you played GTA V after all the comments you made about not playing it, I'll keep you updated around what I do in the game and all the fun experiences I have
  9. Wow that review sounds amazing, I knew Rockstar wouldn't disappoint. I can't wait till this game is released on PC !!!
  10. It might do you some good to return to this stage rather than remaining in your current state of regression.... If contrary articles exist, then those can be debated and so forth as well. On the plus side, if they are very common, it should be trivial to find them! The question then becomes "why are you convinced you are right? - Stating that you're skeptical is fine. Though most people fail to realize that skeptic is open to the idea that he or she may be wrong, and hence misuse the word. - If stating your opinion is all you care to do, then that's fine. But it goes back to "why do you have that opinion?" If you can't be bothered to defend it, then rebuttals and refutations of your opinion wouldn't bother you, and you wouldn't feel compelled to speak up in the light of said challenges - If you don't care that your opinion is under attack, then see previous point - If you don't think that your position needs any defense, then you're certainly not a skeptic, you're possibly arrogant, and you're certainly misguided with an unwavering confidence that is proportional to the level of dispute that the topic has. It's one thing to decide that you don't need to substantiate Newton's Laws, but it's another if you simply conclude that, for example, capital punishment is the only acceptable response to capital crimes. @ Trashman Alan is his usual articulate manner has made some excellent points. I hope you take the time to read and understand them.
  11. I remember the story you told us. Is this the same sister who told you that your family had issues with your wife and ultimately caused the rift?
  12. It is impossible to gauge the accuracy of those claims with no links provided. Yeah funny how those appeared miraculously. LOL It is impossible to gauge the accuracy of those claims with no links provided. Yeah funny how those appeared miraculously. LOL What was even funnier is that just after the Chemical attack Assad claimed his forces were in fact victims, so you had all these "videos" of Syrian soldiers in hospital showing how they were effected by Chemical weapons. But it was actually embarrassing when you realize what an obvious charade it was with the soldiers acting and pretending to be very sick
  13. Not often at this point, no. It's been a long time since I had a full-time job/hours and even when I had one, the schedules were very flexible because I never did 9-5 work and have done freelance stuff since I was 24-25 or so (my schedule was what I wanted it to be). I don't think that has anything to do with it tho. I think it's more likely from moving back to live in a place I don't really like that much. It was necessary (moving) and it's working well in some ways, but ... blah. Okay but don't you think that this malaise you are feeling could be related to boredom? Boredom can cause other issues that may seem similar to a midlife crisis?
  14. I don't think this will change anything, the West and almost all independent observers have been saying that Assad is responsible since the beginning. So the Russian plan for all Chemical weapons to be disarmed will continue. There will only be a different course of action if Assad tries to stall or prevent the dismantling of the Chemical arsenal
  15. What's Arkansas like as a state? I have always wanted to go there. Are the people friendly, is there decent investment, what's the economy based on etc, etc.
  16. LadyC do you work during the day? I find that having a career that you enjoy or kids does help to give identity or purpose to a persons life.
  17. I have to say if it was intended it is an embarrassing and humorous logical design flaw
  18. Well, yeah. If the person expects a game to be garbage and hears, reads, or sees nothing to the contrary, then it does indeed make no sense whatsoever to go ahead and buy the game then suffer all the way through it. When trying to understand games as a product in an economics sense I find that they are much alike drugs. A junkie that needs a fix will switch to a lower quality product, same with games. Both are goods that while not indispensable their demand matches that of essential goods. That's an interesting perspective but I'm not sure I agree with the analogy around drugs. Are you suggesting gaming can be as addictive as drugs? I know there are some gaming addicts but we are talking about "normal" gamers like the people who frequent these forums
  19. I will place a small wager on Trashmans next comment being " but who says I want to be a gentleman"
  20. This is a good point and relevant. Iran has committed resources to the Syria conflict and Syria is Iran's only major ally in the region. If Assad is defeated this will weaken Iran. But we need to also weigh up the destabilizing impact for the region if Assad is removed, questions like "who would govern Syria in the aftermath" need to be considered?
  21. I'm not lazy. You're just not saying anything new to me. I know very well what you meant. I just don't agree ( or to be more correct, I'm very skeptical of it). Or do you think you are so fascinating that I'm going to devote all my time and attention to absorbring every kernel of your wisdom? That anything you said and read is completely and utterly fresh and interesting to me? I wouldn't be surprised if you think I'm obtuse or boring. Depending on my mood, I often am. I freely admit that. If you think replying to me is a waste of time...well, no one is forcing you to reply. I for one know this is waste of time. Why do you think I post in general discussion anyway? To kill time during a slow work day (and if there's nothing interesting going on the Eternity forums). Maybe you have some higher stakes in this discussion? Meh. I need my coffe. I enjoy debates and I mean what I post but my opinion can be changed if someone can convince me. Normally this has to happen through credible links or some indisputable fact that I wasn't aware of. I will continue to debate with you if I feel the topic is interesting but on this particular discussion I have said all I can say. I don't consider any of the debates I have on these forums as a waste of time, if I did I would say so and move on or not have the debate in the first place. Finally don't be embarrassed to admit you learnt something new on a forum. Most of the time I learn new things from these forums on a weekly basis and its great
  22. You guys make some good points but I don't see this constant discussion of how game x was terrible in the same light as supporting a sports team or catharsis. A sports team you have an almost a patriotic love of. So you will discuss improvements in the way the team plays but people generally always support the same teams Venting is discussing your issues around an experience. But surly the venting has to end sometime? Also I still don't get how a person can play a game for 50 + hours a and claim they didn't enjoy it or only find fault. Its like reading a book you are not enjoying, would you normally carry on reading it after a couple of chapters? /
  23. Wait. So you think the typical Rockstar fashion is "ridiculously boring". You didn't like GTA4. You didn't like LA Noire. You didn't like Red Dead Redemption. Why the **** are you buying Rockstar games? Why the **** are you even talking about GTA5? Because in this forum, people spend an inordinate amount of time talking about games they don't like. To be fair Nep, that happens on pretty much any gaming forum. Some people seem to have the need to buy games they will hate, play games they hate for hours, and spend time talking about those hated games on forums. It just seems like a such a waste of time to discuss something for hours you don't like. Especially when you are so many things you can discuss that you enjoy. Also why would a person play something for hours that they are not enjoying, surly you would just stop playing the game?
