Movies You've Seen Recently Thread
the crazies do, yeah. I looked up the results this morning, and aside from Mad Max winning every technical category (which it should've anyway, it's a masterpiece on the technical level) and Brie Larson winning Best Actress I disagree with every other choice the Academy made (not counting shorts and documentaries, didn't watch those). I mean, Best Supporting Actor didn't go to Tom Hardy, Best Picture didn't go to Room, what the hell, Academy?

Interesting to see what devs can come up with, I have more trust in AR than VR, personally.

Why do people watch/love "Let's play..." videos?
thanks!

Why do people watch/love "Let's play..." videos?
ahaha, wow. I find it funny that I thought the same way when I first watched a LP of an adventure game on YouTube "Hmmm, I don't have to solve puzzles anymore and can just read all the dialogue between characters with no interference. Nice!" linky? couldn't agree more. I only enjoy walkthroughs where the person playing it only shows his best attempts, or shows something special (secret locations, tricks etc.) during his play-through.

am I the only one who watches Let's Plays to avoid playing the actual game? :D really, I'm in it only for the fast forward button

I agree, that's why I'm so angry at that article's author, he came across as someone who doesn't really understand games, especially Tomb Raider That's kind of my point: TR doesn't really need a story. it needs good levels and good mechanics of traversing these levels. it's nice to have a story to follow, but I definitely do not need TR to be a "cinematic experience". and when that reviewer said that the new TR failed because its story is not engaging or something, I couldn't help myself but cringe.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I think it was John Carmack who said, "Story in a game is like a story in a porn movie." this is why I think video game journalism doesn't exist, what substitutes for it is a bunch of try-hards trying to earn a living by peddling crap. I bet this same reviewer praised Skyrim and Fallout 4 for their story. what a sorry excuse of a journalist.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
maybe Titanfall is popular on consoles, but on PC it's as good as dead. nobody plays it. there are game modes which you simply can't play, because no one ever queues for them. the only two modes that have a couple of hundred people playing are Attrition and Deathmatch- The Kickstarter Thread
looks too much like Space Engineers- Good Old Games
because destroying evidence is a crime- What game music do you like?
I noticed that I have Payday 2 OST on my Steam account. gave it a listen, and it's kinda good http://youtu.be/Oo16F8PiGsQ- Torment: Tides of Numero Uno
hmm, do you have acces to the beta version you don't want to touch not to spoil the game for you, by any chance? I wouldn't mind taking it off your hands :3- Torment: Tides of Numero Uno
you all should be already playing the beta version. where are all the impressions?- Agiel's all things military
Sky Wars then- Agiel's all things military
that's not a camera, though. it's a night-vision monocular.- Random Sales
what's so bad about BEDLAM? I really like how it looks, and combat seems to be OK.- Random Sales
ok, that sealed the deal. bought Satellite Reign and passed on Shadowrun, bought Skyshine's BEDLAM instead :D- Random Sales
thanks. I follow your YouTube channel, but I can't watch all the videos. one video doesn't really tell me much about the game either, that's why I'm asking for opinions- Random Sales
there's a winter sale happening on Humble Bundle, both Satellite Reign and Shadowrun Chronicles are on sale. anyone can say anything good about these games?- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
uh-oh! don't go there, man. this is the second most popular topic here after piracy- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
well, maybe it's a bit too general of a statement on my part. I should rather say: couldn't afford them at some point, got a taste of what piracy is like, got used to it and never bothered to stop pirating games since. at least that's the story with the majority of my friends from the former Soviet Union. - RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
