  1. I thought Sam & Max, Day of the Tentacle and such are quests. and adventure games are Tomb Raider and such, you know, platformers gone 3D with emphasis on exploring. but I guess back in the day adventures and quests walked hand-in-hand
  2. yeah, I'm curious about it too. they make it sound like it's more than one
  3. what? an adventure game without weapons? this is unheard of! what do they think this is, 1990s?
  4. you guys can brag all you want, I'm sticking to Cassidy all the way for old times' sake, and the robodog of course. man, this is gonna be FO2 redux for me
  5. nice idea but wasn't Chrono Trigger somewhat along these tracks?
  6. I wonder, if Beth are considering Obsidian as a potential candidate to develop Fallout 4
  7. it already exists it was my favorite racing game, 'til Midnight Club 3 came and changed me forever
  8. it's basically FFXI with better graphics and a new leveling system. I struggled with the beta for 2 days, then promptly deleted it after. it's very badly done, has numerous bugs still, and isn't optimized. they should've spent all of this time and resources on improving FFXI's gameplay and UI, maybe even upgrading the graphics there. instead of building another game, which is essentially the same.
  9. I remember a lot of games where reloading doesn't change anything, you'll get the same result again. I'm not sure how it's accomplished, but even if the end result is predetermined, still both are equally useless and don't add much to gameplay value, only frustration. that's the only reason I think mini-games are a better idea. at the same time it bugs me, when you have a minigame AND STILL get to level up respective skills, which is beyond stupid IMHO
  10. I want an RPG where you play the role of a sidekick/henchman. let the NPC Hero run around like an idiot gathering and turning quests in, and we'll just stick to saving the world. or a modern-day RPG without big corporations and shadow governments, something simple like being a police officer or a paramedic.
  11. to tell you the truth I'd rather not have a variety of enemies in my Fallout, if it's something like the crab-people... I'll have my usual set of rats/radscorpions/humans/supermutants/deathclaws, thank you.
  12. whoa, i'm afraid, the reality is going to split because of the time paradox Volo just caused
  13. just 2, Darkness demo and Fable
  14. if they're good at it, why not? it pays the bills, and as long as we're satisfied (I am), they're safe
  15. yeah, I know, I was just screwing around I agree with you, the cube and the "cake is a lie" grew way out of proportion, I knew about it long before I played Portal for the first time
  16. the amount of hit points doesn't matter, it's the damage to hit point ratio that counts
  17. oh, I see. thanks
  18. so, does this escapist website and this yahtzee fella have reviews beyond the december 2008 mark? I scrolled back 10 pages and there don't seem to be any more.
  19. export from where? you start off as a lvl 1 loser
  20. haha, no, it never occurred to me to try and modify my car right in the middle of a car chase
  21. same here I'd just go with a stock setup for races, and for getaways any car would suffice (though I loved Phoenix for the looks)
  22. those masks look awful
  23. Actually, I've stopped playing ME2 somewhere near the finish and can't bring myself to beating the game, I decided to watch a LP, but can't find a completed one. any help?
  24. great as always! but this is where I stop, I'm exactly at the same point in the game and don't want any spoilers but since Monte got me hooked on Company Of Heroes, I'm not sure when I can continue with IWD.
