man, seriously... I can't find the DL link, a registration page, anything. their site sucks balls. EDIT: oh, it seems it's just their web-designer who sucks, anyway, I'll try to install it today.

wait, OI promised to port Stranger's Wrath to PC first... does it mean, that the PC version is ready for launch? -
haha a link maybe?
-
oops, typo :-x meant IWD2
-
killing dragons is no problem. killing that particular dragon at that particular moment was hard. what I actually don't understand is how the hell was I able to kill 6 white dragons in NWN2 IWD2 with a lvl 6 party without resting or buffing

oh god, penny arcade fallout comics? bleh Bethesda should've hired Scott of VGCats fame for the job

you and me both. I just hope Square Enix makes FF11 free-to-play after ff 14 launches btw, that boss was Absolute Virtue - a mob that was supposed to be kind of immortal. but ironically it was programmed to drop some very good stuff. so these japanese players found a bug and exploited it, still took them a very long time to kill it. then the bug got fixed. supposedly there is a way to make it vulnerable, but Square Enix just won't tell the players how -

not sure if you guys are into Final Fantasy games, but the start of the open beta-test for FF 14 was scheduled for tomorrow. it got postponed though: for those of you who don't know, FF 14 is an indirect sequel to FF 11, which was a MMORPG (a pretty good one too). the new game will probably be toned down a bit, because FF 11 was initially for hardcore gamers only. you can apply for participation here -
I tried it on the same spot I used the horn the first time when it worked, well not like it really matters. I hope we get to kill Flemeth for good this time edit: and the sooner into the game the better
-
maybe it was a bug i dunno, when I first reached the mountain top I wasn't powerful enough, I entered the temple, completed the quest, went to lvl up a bit and came back only to find that I could no longer summon the dragon with the horn. I thought it meant that you only get one chance at it.
-
oh, it's unfair I admit I just dislike the character, I am biased, but still it's kinda stupid to build a game around something that is lacking in charisma and appeal as Flemeth does and that other dragon... well, when you have the only chance to kill it, your party is so underleveled, that straight tanking it isn't an option. I saw a 40-minute-1-mage-running circles-shooting tactic, but that's no fun
-
looks like s**t damn I can't believe Bio made her "canon" or whatever you call it, because she's like the only dragon you can slay in DAO (final boss doesn't count), they actually think most people would pass a chance like that? or these cutscenes are taking place before the warden had the chance to kill her... I am confused
-
does it mean she's somehow related to Stern? at first I thought it was Flemeth, now I don't know what to think
-
so, I missed it somehow but does that wizardy-looking chick have horns or is it just a case of a bad hairday?

*googling darklands* -
I do have friendly fire, I heavily rely on the rogue to recon the field, then to skulltrap and grease the narrow areas leading to party so the fireball actually has a chance of hitting enemies and not the party. my lvl 1 rogue drow can hide pretty well, has hide and move silently at 4 +5 adjustment makes it a total of 9, and also +4 from equipment = 13 which is very high actually and is just where it should be at that point in the game

I am waiting for a fantasy game that pretends it's a historical game. remember that SPECIAL based game with terrible graphics and grinding but a very interesting setting? can't remember it's name... dragonheart or something. well, I think a medieval RPG without orcs, goblins, dragons and stuff would be a nice change of pace. maybe a game about crusaders. there's tons of material in the history books, and yet the developers keep recycling the same inspired-by-Tolkien settings -
I am playing on normal difficulty, Sherincal was one of the easiest foes. I just got past the Ice Temple, the game is easy, but at the same time I don't want to touch the difficulty, so I've decided not to lvl up at all and see where it gets me. I'm halfway through Fell Wood (only 2 battles left) and my party is still lvl 6. anyway, prior to making my party I read some guides on gamefaqs. one of the better ones suggested not making any rogues. there's a build that I'm using right now: a drow rogue1/conjurer. it's more of a support mage with loads of buffs in the beginning, so he relies on ranged weapons a lot. it's a good build for a couple of reasons. first of all drows get +2 intelligence and dexterity, second their favored class is wizard, so you don't get multiclassing xp penalties. and since he has loads of intelligence, he gets high skill modifiers and loads of skill points to raise both wizard and rogue skills. I'd suggest going with this build instead of a full-time rogue, you sure don't need one in this game. one thing that seems to be common for CRPG games based on D&D - there can never be enough sorcerers in your party. I'm using two (gonna switch one to bard at lvl 19) - one is the leader with bluff and diplomacy, high charisma and intelligence - to get through conversations. rest is up to you. definately make a paladin (aasimar looks cool, but I'm using a human fighter4/paladin) for teh Holy Avenger and bonus dialogue options.

this: every single "modern" RPG I played, that wasn't using one license or the other, proved to be a disaster design-wise. I can backtrack to Arcanum and start from there actually. that was one awful game. but that's beside the point. my point was they try so hard to build an epic game on a tight budget, it will only hurt it in the end (not the company, sadly enough). if only Mass Effect was KOTOR 3, and Dragon Age - NWN3 respectively, the world would be a better place. because the role system in both games was a complete failure -
