  1. Jeyne survived in my ending slide, though possible life threats were mentioned.
  2. VGchartz has their new numbers and it isn't looking that bad for DSIII (at least for the first week) http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/45443...geon-siege-iii/ http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/45442...geon-siege-iii/ http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/47140...geon-siege-iii/ (Naturally VGchartz is still unreliable as hell. Just posting)
  3. Looking at one of the comments I'm surprised how people think this has a poor story or is poorly written at all for an Obsidian game. I mean, even under different standards/preferences people have regarding narrative. The quality of Dungeon Siege 3s writing is by all means better than NWN2OCs or SOZ was (no offense meant to the people who worked on them. I still very much enjoyed the writing on both of them) and the story is at least on the quality level of Alpha Protocol (Dialouge Writing is worse but then again, its against Avellone written Dialog). Its also better/more logical structured than the others and Jeyne is probably Obsidians "most grey" written Antagonist. I mean I get the comments that its a little lighter on the narrative/writing quantity than other Obsidian games. (Which I kinda expected) But by no means is its quality worse.
  4. DS3 team wasn't that big. They had both FNV ( + dlcs) and DS3 in development at the same time. Based on the credits I'd say the team was about 40-50 people (cba to count the exact number). And the design team was around 9 people
  5. According to Brandon Sandersons Tweets the Wheel of Time games are apparently still in Development http://twitter.com/#!/BrandSanderson
  6. Some info on the upcoming patch http://blog.obsidian.net/
  7. Obsidian released a screenshot on their Blog and give the ETA as somewhere next week.

Obsidian continues to learn from Bethesdas PR department I see.
  10. Anything over a million from what we know.
  11. Well its still doing way better than Alpha Protocol did from memory though that is not saying much.
  12. I'm not really interested in Skyrim and I couldn't care less about T2 while I probably will replay DSIII several times till 2012. So, no. Also, thats a weird comparison. Especially because the XBOX360 and PS3 versions of Alice had its price reduced to 39'99 on Amazon.com which may have something to do with the high sales at the moment. Still, the big decrease in sales on Amazon is indeed worrying. We'll see when numbers arrive.
  13. You sound like the door now... But why does that make the door open? I don't get the joke.... It doesn't. The door is just entertained by your attempts and opens as a reward for you. If you look through the lorebooks there is a assistent that talks about the doors personality.
  14. No idea. Just quoting Hank Morgan.
  15. Game has plenty of replay value for me. -Not too long and with a great pacing. Prevents getting bored with it halfway through. Also has a higher chance for me to casually replay it again down the line. -Decent amount of choices -All four charachters play different enough So, yes it was worth the bux for me.
  16. Review by Mr. Orange (who also did the AP flash) http://www.gamesajare.com/2.0/retro-analis...ege-3-xbox-360/ LoL at the Cloud/Sephiroth vs Avellone Standoff. The one sole reason I want to learn the language of the spains.
  17. At the beginning of the development much time was spent to perfect Controller controls and beeing able to put a certain number of skills on it. PC controls were focused on towards the end of the development. They were actually pretty far on them but apparently there were problems with it which lead to the original pc controls beeing used for the game. Thats why he liked to spent more time on it. And the tutorial thing could mean anything, really. For starters better introduction of new skills/statistics in a dlc/sequel.
  18. They have their own toolkit already. I'd think it is not beeing released for other reasons.
  19. Onyx Engine has been developed since long ago. Aliens: Crucible would have been an Onyx Game.
  20. Well, for example where do you have the statement from that Amazon is the primary online retailer/retailer at all for video games? Even in North America? Also the game was quite high in preorder sales on Amazon reaching the 19th place in overall video games at times (To compare Alice never really went under 100). Which also suggests it could be just a rather strong backslash since a majority who wanted it, preordered it. We'll see if sales stabilize.
  21. Uhm, taking this from "one" source isn't really an accurate statement to define if somethings "tanking". Sales drop on amazon, yes. But the final effect on the sales is yet to be seen.
  22. The last two weeks doesn't seem to be so great for any new releases. DSIII may be in quite a dangerous situation (can't really say till we have seen actual numbers) but Alice, Child of Eden, Shadows of the Damned are even below that from what we know so far.
