Dungeon Siege 3 is not a real Dungeon Siege game...
And I will bet the complete opposite. In fact with time it will gain popularity. Considering it's already slipping off both sales and gameplay charts, I doubt it. Then again I don't have a crystal ball so maybe flat out saying it will be forgotten was a bit strong...so let's just say early indicators aren't very favorable. Really? Yes, its slipping. Thats not really surprising though since the game has been out a few days. And it still compares favorably to a lot of other games in that respect. But you're right we'll see.

Thats impossible to count. Also there are other players that actually like the game because it didn't focus on these things but other qualities.

Penny Arcade on DSIII
There is really no specific content in the first place that would make persistent Play valuable. Camera Issues are a much bigger problem.

We'll see when the sales are out next week. Drop was to be expected after a few days but it dropped very fast in a few hours from 3rd

Some updates re: feedback
Probably cut out. Could be it will be added in a (possible) DLC or patch. Nice to know though that the engine seems to be really modfriendly even without tools.

Modding
Coming across this post on SA http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthrea...5#post392929729 I wonderd if anyone with sufficent skill already tried to look around in the files? Also I found this funny File Extractor http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6743

Vodjanoy (or the like)?
They are actually from slavic mythology. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vodyanoy Edit: Ninja'd Edit2: The game has connections and draws inspereation from several religions and mythologies.

No achievements earned
It wasn't a big patch released and it could just have been crashfixes.

For Devs...
I actually did near everything but I only died three times during the entire game (normal and that amounted to 10 min. max for all three thanks to nearby save points) (one of em through carlesness). I also skipped enemies at the end too. I can't really believe the ten hours expect if you just skip most conversations and enemies. I mean it just surprises me that such a reduction is possible while doing everything.

Duke Nukem will get played just because it IS the duke regardless of the quality. And how long it will get played for doesn't really matter in the end in this case. Also I wouldn't say quality. Rather its popularity.

All three versions counted together it was actually the 9th best selling title that week. http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p...p&ct=110015 @Tigranes The Neogaf ones are actually pretty good sources.

High Profile First Person Shooter This is already why it will sell more. The game actually seems to have gathered a lot of interest in this short time. Its at the top of several charts. Including Amzon and Steam.

FEAR 3 will sell better. Though, that is to be expected as it is a "true" AAA shooter.

Critical Cricism...I hate to say it, but I agree
It has a LOT to do with the DS "Universe". Multiple charachters of previous Games are constantly refrenced and the entire lore builds up on the previous games.

Again which charts are we talking about? DSIII is in the top 10 of multiple of them. And don't forget its just the opening day. If you mean Amazon. Look at the List first. Then you may understand why. Also it was higher before (Since Preorders went out it sank somewhat expected)

It is, though? And what Top ten do you even mean? Also a million units isn't that unbelievable a goal.

Some updates re: feedback
Can we get an ETA on the keybinding patch? This week or next?

Steam update released, game doesn't start anymore
How about some patch notes too

What are you playing now?
The demo was the very beginning of the game. Of an Obsidian game. And there were sidequests and other stuff cut.

Steam update released, game doesn't start anymore
I just posted a topic about this lol! Who releases an update without proper testing!!??! How retarded can you get?? SIGH @ OBSIDIAN!!! I don't really think they noticed it considering they probably don't start the game with steam. Still they should begin to do it. Both NV and now DSIII have massive problems with Steam.

Metacritic sucks anyways. I don't think most of the european magazines even post their scores there. At least couldn't see any German or Finnish scores there for DS3. How does Metacritic even choose its critic. Its always so random for me. Are they really just applied by the reviewers themselves?

Poll: DLC or a new multiplayer?
I wouldn't consider it a slap in the face. It's the first time their game even includes multiplayer option. Your forgetting NWN2 here. That had its own problems though and wasn't really an online experience in the "co-op" sense.
