Theres room for all types of games and every gerne and system has its place. Otherwise we just end up at an even worse point than now where all games are the same.

XBOX 360 4mb patch: what does it fix?
C2B replied to rafoca's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
The first patch on the PC Version wasn't documented too (Remember the one who made the game unplayable for a short few hours?). -
What choices did you make?
C2B replied to Starwars's topic in Dungeon Siege III: Odo's Scribbles - Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Have to take an earlier comment regarding Katarina back. I intially remembered her to be specialy mentioned in the cutscene with the gunderic mansion but after revisiting and consulting my newly arrived game guide I was wrong on that. It wasn't in this thread but another one. Just saying it. -
My 80 CHF (different currency) weren't wasted. Got a decent amount of fun out of it. The features listed for example are pretty uninteresting to me. On the other hand DSIII does some things/features better I'm more interested in regarding games. Not to say that the same counts for you (it obviously don't) and that you are not justified, just saying that there are different opinions.

XBOX 360 4mb patch: what does it fix?
C2B replied to rafoca's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Pretty much this. Its nowhere near an irregular practice. Again, most changelogs don't even have minor fixes listed and even if they do in many cases its just listed similiar to this - Fixed multiple Minor Issues @MonkeyLungs: Fair. But again, we already somwhat know what fix it was or what it tried to fix. Its not like this already means that further, bigger patches won't be documented. Also, you may be strongly the underestimating video game industry crunch there. -
XBOX 360 4mb patch: what does it fix?
C2B replied to rafoca's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
An excuse isn't needed. How will it change your life not knowing 1-2 insignificant changes? A large amount of patchlogs don't even list the most minor of the changes, so aren't "complete" either. Whats your problem here to begin with? Complaining for the sake of complaining? -
XBOX 360 4mb patch: what does it fix?
C2B replied to rafoca's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
From what we know it was either A: The Bluriness Fix B: Achievment related I don't have the XBOX Version but it was probably nothing big enough to worry about. -
PC getting patch but what about consoles?
C2B replied to SuperSaiyan4's question in Dungeon Siege III: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Or maybe you shouldn't use just 1 or 2 save game slots... whoa so its the players fault for having a game breaking bug, and non existant support from the company who made the game? And after spending 60$ on the game? No it's not your fault, also support isn't non-existant (There have already been patches). The game has been out what? Two weeks in NA? A PS3/XBOX360 Patch still has to go through an approval process first so wait just a while longer. Or play up from your old savegame to that point again and save double. Faster. -
Camera Angle - Help Needed.
C2B replied to ArcaneHoplite's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Yes, and also not every console player. There have been tons of top down games on consoles. Dark Alliance where this game draws heavily from for example. Edit: I actually would want to have a "real" top down view. Even less tilt and further zoomed out. But so differ opinions on that. -
Camera Angle - Help Needed.
C2B replied to ArcaneHoplite's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Troll or no, welcome to the club. You got ripped off. DEAL. WITH. IT. Troll? Oh yes, because I bought a game and dared to come on the dev forums, and complain instead of kissing butt. Ripped off, yep, thats how I feel. I just dont get how anyone can make such a gorgeous looking game, but lack the brain cells to give it a go, before they put it out for sale? Again, ridiculous. I have no problem playing with the camera angle (solo). Theres nothing gamebreaking about it. Its not optimal though. Also again, if I understand you right you want a third person action game? Did you never play a top down/iso game if this is such an alien concept to you? -
Keybinding and Move Left/Right Patch
C2B replied to The Guildmaster's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
-Yes -You can't really tilt the camera as there are two fixed positions as of now but you can rotate it and bind it to the right button. -
How was it

Keybinding and Move Left/Right Patch
C2B replied to The Guildmaster's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Changelog Keybinding has now been implemented into Dungeon Siege III Added two new controls that will allow the players to move left or right. This is included on the keybinding screen. Fixes an issue where the gamepad would default to on, even if you have no gamepad plugged in. Fixed an issue in Multiplayer where if either the host or the client is using a gamepad and are playing with someone who is using the mouse/keyboard, the host hangs when switching to the ending cutscene. Fixed an issue with certain graphic cards where it would occasionally display large black pixels in the middle of the screen. Fixed a potential crash when players try to reconnect after disconnecting during a conversation. We've implemented a fix that will revert the A/D reversed issue for people that are still reporting this issue. Fixed a potential crash when players would join a Multiplayer game in a certain order. -
Dude... what the hell are you talking about? I have an XBOX360 and have 100s of games. I can't think of ONE GAME where I had to pay for a patch... EVER. DLC bundled patches maybe, but that's bad business. Stand-alone patches are free and usually auto-update when you start a game. I think he meant the developer/publisher has to pay for the patches. (Which makes patching games on consoles even more unattractive.) From the publisher license agreement

Gunderic Manor Door Password Bug
C2B replied to objecttothis's question in Dungeon Siege III: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
On what Plattform is this? Didn't happen for me (PC) -
Yes and no. The steampunk concept arts were just tests on how far Disney will let them take the edginess. Not that far, sadly. I don't really the steampunk part here is correct. At least from looking at the concept art. Edit: Well the concept art on the right. The left one fits probably more.

Camera Angle - Help Needed.
C2B replied to ArcaneHoplite's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
While I think the camera needs to be more zoomed out.... What? Is this your first time playing a top down/iso game? I prefer an angle like this vastly to a third person one. Its actually one of my main gripes with Witcher 2. -
... i wasn't talking about "jugs". look at her face, yeah its anime looking with big eyes etc, but it doesnt look like a 15 year old. there is a big difference between how a 15 year old girl looks and how a 23 year old girl looks. That actually largly depends on the person. I know ~30 year olds that regulary have to show their ID because people can't tell if they are over 18.

Keybinding and Move Left/Right Patch
C2B replied to The Guildmaster's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Well a patch is probably not gonna release on saturday or sunday. Theres still some time though to release the patch. Hopefully it arrives. Alvin/Nathaniel were absent from the boards this week. This actually makes me very worried. Hope its not gonna end in a AP like Situation. -
Keybinding and Move Left/Right Patch
C2B replied to The Guildmaster's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
The only thing you idiots are contributing to is that work on the game will be fully stopped. Also this could have plenty of reasons why the actual release is out of their hands. Certification as already mentioned for example. -
Interview with Project Director Rich Taylor
C2B replied to C2B's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Chris Taylor is actually pretty happy with the game and signed off what Obsidian did with Dungeon Siege III. Also he originally was the one who wanted to focus on one player charachter instead of a party for a proposed third game. @Matt-C Ever even thought about the concept that people view aspects of quality different than you especially in a medium like Video Games? For me, DSIII has a higher quality in the aspects of a game I value than the first two. Of course I can see how that differs if you are a full on Diablo Style ARPG Player.
