Are you really sure they are named Archons? I checked Bestiary FAQs and I can't seem to find it. (I'm horrible with names so I don't remember) Nah, they were in castle Ehb like Monokli says if I remember correctly. Regardless, however, they are elementals now. So, are they named Archon now or not? I never doubted that you meet them as I remember them too I'm just unsure they were called Archons.

Some updates re: feedback
C2B replied to Nathaniel Chapman's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
That interview was a while ago. Things can come in between or change during such a time. Nathaniel posted also about a different control sheme just 2 months ago but that got probably scrapped at the last minute (for whatever reason) which leaves us with the current (older?) control sheme. At the moment the best he can do is make the current sheme better. Thats also why he added that there will be bigger changes in the future. -
Well it depends. I'm a story fan so I will replay just for the different outcomes regarding choices. Otherwise I will at least play through with every charachter once just for gameplay reasons.

Some updates re: feedback
C2B replied to Nathaniel Chapman's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
I'd argue that every single game after Neverwinter Nights 2 had a more interesting story hook and presented its initial area/situation better, even the blander ones (Storm of Zehir and Alpha Protocol come to mind). Mask of the Betrayer was a slog gameplay-wise, but had a fantastically realized beginning, you immediately knew the tone of the story. You could argue that it benefited from being an expansion, but in my opinion it would have worked well stand-alone too. New Vegas sets you up with an attempted murder, presents you with hints of something more to come (Victor), you can skip the tutorial area if you don't want to do it, etc. Alpha Protocol admittedly is pretty weak too, although it has got the framed narrative up its sleeves. It also has much, much fresher dialogue compared to JEYNE KASSYNDER (rinse and repeat), though luckily, from what I've seen the game gets better on that regard later. -

I brought this up with you before but which Obsidian game isn't? Nearly all of them have their slow starts when they are setting the story/charachters up. This doesn't mean its bland and generic in the slightest. -
Sorry, you don't. There is no NewGame+. Though the classes seem to play pretty different. So try out the others.

Question about Co-op and Trophies/Achievements
C2B replied to steini0509's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Savegames and achievments are not connected. Wouldn't it actually be easier for the guest to get this trophy? For example: Save before the end and while you can rejoin as a different charachter the host can't. Also yeah, some of the achievments probably require multiple playthroughs. Sorry multiple playthroughs are okay, but only , if we both get the trophie. I dont want play that game for 8 times. 4 times as host , that I get the trophy, and 4 times as guest, that my friend get the trophie. (finsih game with all characters) I hope there is a way. It shouldn't matter. If you finish the game together with your friend it "should" count towards the achievment. Savegames/data and achievments/trophies are unreleated. -

How do u get better loot?
C2B replied to Letsgomental's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
It would be nice if this actually accounts for both sides. Naturally your critisism is allowed but you also come across sometimes as insulting. Edit: I'm myself at fault too. I know. -
Question about Co-op and Trophies/Achievements
C2B replied to steini0509's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Well there is really no point. The game has a level cap at 30 and you can't do anything else with that charachter after you have run through the game (Maybe in DLC's as it apparently makes a savegame at the end) . Its really just buddy co-op. So I cant earn Platinum together with my friend? WE must play all 2 times, one time is he host and one time I am host? Omg. I think not many people will join random ONline matches, because u cant save anything, even not XP. That was a real bad idea, obsidian! Yes, you can earn platinium together. You earn achievments as a guest. Seriously, how many times do I have to repeat myself? And again, the game is focused on buddy co-op. Not co-op with strangers. It also offers next to no content for that. Edited Again I'm sorry for the language but I tell you in nearly every post that you can earn achievments together. Why don't you get it? Savegames have nothing to do with Achievments. -

Question about Co-op and Trophies/Achievements
C2B replied to steini0509's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
As far as I understand he gets said charachter back if he rejoins that game. Its saved on the host side. Still this does not count for achievments which you will be able to earn. Otherwise its a bug as this was stated multiple times already. The games really only laid out for co-op with friends rather than with strangers. -
? I was commenting on the choice of score of the reviewer that seemed to contradict the tone of the review, I could have said the same thing about, say, The Witcher 2 (see GameInformer review about that, btw) or a lot of other titles. Ah, ok. Misinterpreted.

In terms of an Obsidian game "solid" means much. I think the last sentence of the suicide review sums it up perfectly.

Screenshots just show again how much Obsidians writing department rocks. Especially this

Launch Trailer (Did someone already post it?)

? They didn't work together on the core game. John Gonzalez was the Creative Lead/Lead Writer there. They worked together on Aliens: Crucible. One game we'll never see.

I dunno, I just hope I'm being honest with myself here. I always trusted reviewers, I'm just extremely suspicious of some special cases, and I think this started with PC Gamer's review of DA2. Something was off with that thing, and the scores by my usual sources, 4/10 by Canard PC and 68/100 by PC Jeux (the French version of PC Gamer) just fortified my opinion. By the end of the week, I should know what they have to say about DS3. I can't see Canard PC giving it a high score just because of the controls. They are usually a veeery PC hardcore centric magazine, aren't they?
