Any word on the patch?
Unfortunately nothing. I would even prefer SEGA coming out and outright saying there won't be a patch since that's what I suspect instead what we get is.. deafening silence.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!, just a dumping ground
I think they're announcing it on the 12th. The same day btw when Doom 4 will be announced. Damn announcements of announcements. *grumble grumble* I can't wait when funcroc will start announcing that he's announcing that he knows about an announcement about an announcement. Really. I'm totally not joking or anything.

Dragon Age 2
The tactical camera in DA:O was already too close to the battlefield. Can't say I'm pleased about this.

Fallout: New Vegas
They've confirmed that the Collector's Edition WILL be released in Europe, they're just working out the details with various countries.

Looks like the top-down camera has been confirmed to be axed.- Del Toro And Cameron to shoot 'Mountains Of Madness' movie
They are. Del Toro confirmed that it wanted the film to be a period piece and R-Rated otherwise he wouldn't direct it.- What
I don't know, while I found Eschalon (the demo at least) inferior to Fallout, the combat felt better to me. Not sure what it has to do with the state of the industry.. Moving on topic, I can see the PC industry moving to a download only method of distribution, but I have the feeling it'll be much much slower than a lot of people predict.- WTF, America?!?!
I can't wait to see her reaction to Broken Steel.- The funny things thread
- What are you playing now
Since this is my first playthrough I'm keeping it fairly vanilla. I'll certainly try the commentary mode after I finish it though.- What are you playing now
Played a little bit of Half Life 2 and Gothic 2 today. One thing I discovered is that boars are not creatures to mess with.- So who is working on this game?
Fallout New Vegas still runs on Gamebryo, and it seems to be relatively untouched compared to the version seen in Fallout 3. Dungeon Siege III runs on Onyx, Obsidian's proprietary engine, that seems to have a pretty robust lighting system.- Which way do you prefer?
I don't mind a measure that cuts backtracking, as long as it doesn't turn the game in a 'do the first level of the dungeon - teleport - sell loot - teleport again - do second level'.- The funny things thread
You made me laugh out loud! Bad Oner, baaaad!- Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age 2 podcast episode 2 This time with art director Matt Goldman.- Fallout: New Vegas
You have pretty high standards, haven't you?- Dragon Age 2
Plausible (though I'm pretty sure they first worked on the cut content that was reintroduced as day 1 dlc, aka The Stone Prisoner), but then again, when GameInformer went at Bioware studios they didn't even have the armor set props in the game build.. Add the unpolished screenies to that, and it's pretty clear that they revealed DAII when they were still not that far in the development cycle.- Dragon Age 2
Completely different combat mechanics. Comparing apples to oranges, basically.- Fallout: New Vegas
Think about it this way : the more you're waiting the more polished it's becoming! Obsidian being hired for another 'spin-off' would please me greatly. I'd get Obsidian using Bethesda's tech and assets and all that jazz and I wouldn't have to bear Bethesda horribad writing.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!, just a dumping ground
No offense meant buddy, but it was already posted a couple of pages ago, and in the Torchlight thread too. Arcania's PS3 version delayed- Dragon Age 2
The other game took 7 years to be made (which translates in a gigatastical budget). This one is going to be published in march, next year. It will probably be just as successful. .... Draw your conclusions.- Fallout: New Vegas
Seems almost certain that the game will get some very good sales regardless of the reception (which will likely be very good anyway). Good to know. Hopefully the game will deserve those sales, but for now I have no reason to be pessimistic.- Fallout: New Vegas
Interesting. It seems like they've put a lot of thought in Hardcore Mode.- Dungeon Siege 3 at GamesCom 2010
Oh yeah, but I'm pretty sure there will be a booth, I don't think the lead designer would write something like that if he didn't receive confirmation. We'll probably have some more details about the halls/booth soon anyway. - Dragon Age 2
