  1. From what I understand there are A LOT of references to the first three so one that has played them will enjoy the game a lot more BUT being a new unexplored part of the world and being with a new main character, it should be a good starting point for newcomers. Just take into account that there will be a difference in gameplay between this and the originals (not as big as between Fallout 2 and 3, but still a good difference) if you then want to go back and play them.
  2. Probably none of you noticed, but Marcus' eye color in the screen was wrong. No more according to J.E. Sawyer : The color of his eyes has been corrected.
  3. You shoot and use powers. SUCH A LOT OF INFORMATION!
  4. I find it incredibly sad that all those previews basically say nothing about the gameplay.
  5. Since most probably the presentation will be press-only I wouldn't bother if I were you.
  6. They said there should be a demo but didn't know when it would come out a while ago, and I think they mentioned that it would probably come out around E3. It's been a while since E3 so hearing a little bit more about it would be nice, especially since we're getting close to release.
  7. Looks mighty fine. A bit of a pity that according to GameStar's preview the world feels a bit lifeless compared with the previous Gothics though =|
  8. Wasn't it supposed to be a new IP? Bioshock Infinity just doesn't roll off the tongue, anyway.
  9. To give some new presentation.. maybe? You could just create a new account and answer anonymously you know.
  10. Still, I'd say it's a bit excessive to say that UE3 sucks. It's not as good as its widespread use seems to hint (from a purely visual standpoint, I don't know if it's easier to work with it than with other engines), but it still looks pretty good.
  11. I'd say all of UE3 games have a distinct plastic-y look.
  12. Mostly promising, as far as the story and mechanics tied to it go (even if I'd have preferred a mute main character, but *shrugs* it's still better than ME's wheel). Until I know about the top-down view and about the interesting-combat/filler-combat ratio I'll be on the fence.
  13. Well, well, they sure have been shopping left and right. For the period before they announced DSIII I actually was kind of expecting ZeniMax to buy Obsidian too. Then again, Arkane have a lot of affinity with Bethesda, so I guess that it's a good match.
  14. People have different opinions, film at 11. Well, believing that dialogues and over-the-shoulder camera in a RPG make that RPG a Gothic clone is certainly a .. controversial opinion.
  15. He is, but we don't know how much of his original design survived.
  16. There are some pretty big changes so the fanbase was bound to be disgruntled sooner or later. Still, unfortunately DSIII won't be similar to Gothic.
  17. No death threats = I AM DISAPPOINT.
  18. All the italian redheads I know are much uglier than Felicia. ... I somehow get the feeling that wasn't the topic's subject.
  19. As far as lagging goes, I found using some tweaks found here in the forums helped a great lot. The game ran smoothly for the most part.
  20. And then you come and spread it intentionally.. :p I spoilered it. Who wants to know can look the spoiler, who doesn't now is warned about the Bethesda boards' topic. Basically, I'm spoiler Jesus.
  21. 'Felicia day fanboys' is such an ugly way to put it... 'enlightened individuals' sounds MUCH BETTER.
  22. Well, the quest about the package seems more of a way to introduce the character to the larger conflict than something major, at least by how they described it. Still... I would have preferred if they didn't toy, playing it like it was a big mystery when the character who shot you was actually quite visible in the intro of the game. THEY HURT MY FEELINGS!
