  1. So, lets just say changes that Deadfire bring to the table in term of world going forward are very big. Stuff that happened in first game was relatively localized, choice between what to do with souls doesn't really change anything in long run for a world and Woedica can still return(and does return in deadfire) with or without souls. However stuff that our The BFG did or didn't do in the end makes it a bit problematic to move forward in time in universe. Lets drop minor thing about deadfire status, in a hundred of years it will be easily irrelevant because everyone will speak Rauatai but Wheel stuff... If kith manage to make new wheel - that would be freaking huge, just to think how it would affect both religious and political systems in the world. No to mention what our favourite Rymrgand want us to achieve... So when universe will move forward it would be absolutely impossible to account for all possible endings as all of them apart "don't touch wheel" are essentially apocalyptic for original world order and clearly mutually exclusive. So who think, what deadfire ending will be canonised? I feel that one considered "correct" for sequesls and supplement meterial will be keeping wheel untouched while being anarchistic. Unless there will be no "what heppen next" and universe will move backwards
  2. Wonder with what game I mix it up? So pretty much only last pierce immune enemy will be problem... There are no pierce immune bosses, right? So if Lance is viable I am thinking to try and go with such character: Race: Nature godlike Class: Blood Mage(Fleet Feet)/Bleak walker(Sworn Enemy) Stats(with BB): MIG: 18 (20) CON: 12 (14) DEX: 8 (10) PER: 16 (18) INT: 16 (18) RES: 8 (10) Grimoire: Llengrath's Matrial Masteries(easy to get and has almost everything needed for weapon summoner so character is open to get other spells) Basically Fleet Feet allow to immedeatly trigger wellspring of life and thus get +1 PL Only worry about penetration here...
  3. But it also one of the most easily available inspirations and +Int items isn't that uncommon(+2 available as soon as you reach Neketaka so On other hand it is also significally less of an annoyance to prebuff in TBM since instead of very short cast time buffs are instantenious so no unpause/pause on cast in the beginning of fight xD Well, there is also skully pet staff. They both scale to legendary so shouldn't fall too far behind. Though yeah, caster is quite cool possibility as well since I doubt enemies will ever use wait and if wait indeed move to the end of movement order, it shouldn't be problem to optimise enemy coverage with spells P.S I noticed that Frenzy instantenious... Does it mean that I can just leap with Sarafen into a bunch of enemies and unload all rage into spirit tornado at once xD That should be quite a damage burst P.P.S. What about Psion and Chanters btw? I read in ione guide that they both are close to useless in tbm as a casters. Psion pretty much cant charge enough focus in sensible amount of time and chanter has the same problem with phrases - he just cant recharge them fast enough to do anything other then autoattack
  4. Out of all Deadfire Tweaks I would probably just used 1 module - Unlock Subclass one. For that sweet Rymrgand priest subclass. Almost everything else is either very subjective changes or very questionable in term of balance(as it look like it is mostly power fantasy focused mod). Balance polishing mod is indeed better choice for balancing tweaks. Speaking of self-promotion, @Elric Galad is there a chance to see your mod on Steam Workshop?
  5. Then it is better to just keep it neutral? So there is no penalty to defenses. Well it is just a question what will provide bigger boost then - this one round of buff or up to +6 point to might + Perception for damage and crits. Anyway it doesn't seems at least from your words that boosting int isn't outright useless Well from what I heard that was with WoD and SoT in mind. Glad to hear that it isn't true. I actually thought, before starting to read up on TBM mechanics to make Nature godlike Bloodmage/Bleak Walker focused on Staff and Pike summoned weapon. Basically summon weapon in round 1 then Mersiless Gaze + IwVE + DAoM into Flame of Devotion maybe with some Sworn Rival before it xD Glad to hear that this type of character will actually be viable
  6. Planning to try TBM myself so few questions just to make sure: Is it true that DEX is absolutely useless in TBM? Basically you will notice no difference between 2 dex and 20 dex character after first round? How useful is pushing INT in TBM? some guides say that having int above 14 is waste of points as duration barely progress(like difference between Swift strike at Int 14 and int 20 is just 1 round) As a continuation of above - is it even viable to make selfbuffing character in TBM? I heard that despite being free action, buffs rarely lasts more that 2-3 rounds, which makes character to just run dry without achieving anything. For example Arcane knight focused on summoned weapon and buffs will run dry on buffs(as in both no spells on appropriate levels and no effects on character himself) at round 7 no matter its int?
  7. To be fair that's often a problem in linear game without repeatable content or NG+. Or at least in game with robust item upgrading. I mean you upgraded that little saber from 4th floor of your home dungeon and yeah, there is cooler one now but you it need some durgan steel and some upgrading to compare with old stuff... Could be cool if PoE1 allowed companion export like PoE2, then this item could have more used in repeating run... Or if game implemented proper NG+ with bigger challenges and some new bosses, at least it could have allowed to use some cool endgame stuff somewhere more then pretty much final fight
  8. Wow thwats brutal... Any other priest can stack things up to that or similar level? Corrode for berath or frost for Rymr?
  9. I am not sure how this forum would react onto character file (and what are rules about it) itself so I'll send you link in private messages
  10. Berath spirit weapon looks pretty decent(greatsword) for Priest/Figher(devoted) build. Bonus damage as corrode is very useful and dual damage type ensure that you do not stumble into immunities and spirit weapon itself ensure that you will have decent weapon of your choice before you start getting unique and collecting enough money to keep them up to date Additionally tactical barrage is easy source of both Acute(pitifully not brilliant but well) and Aware inspirations, Conqueror stance is useful for both casting and fighting, Penetrating strike is very cheap and provide one of the most important bonuses in game - penetration. Here is very basic mockup with unoptimised stats and no equipment (except summoned sword) And with monastic training you can even punch enemies with it dor very hefty damage
  11. Funny thing but I actually has exported lvl 2 black jacket/Steel Garrote filled with goodies including this exact cape. In theory you can just put his file into %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\PillarsOfEternityII/SavedGames/ExportedCharacters However have you considered the fact that when you take exported character with goodies, their price goes up?
  12. What is the best tanking race now btw? Still wild orlan? Now there is 4 races that has resistance to affliction: Coastal Aumaua has Might affliction resistance(Stun - Stuggered - Dazed), Mountain Dwarf has constitution affliction (Enfeebled - Weakened - Sickened), Wood elf has dexterity affliction resistance (Paralyzed - Immobilized - Hobbled) and finally wild orlan has Resolve (Terrified - Frightened - Shaken) so question is - which type of countering inspirations harder to come by...
  13. Can someone help with installing this mod on native linux verson of PoE? IE mod look like it is windows(or, well, wine) version only
  14. I use healer not as "restoring hp" type of character, rather as an defensive support type. Basically someone who might not input much damage itself but ensures that characters are protected and safe from any debuffs and control attempts and also provide defense against prolonged wave based fights like SSS survivor path(where enemies might not be a problem in term of danger per wave, but it is increadibly easy to end up running dry and succumbing to sheer exastion). Also it is more of a general balance thing as well even if priest is still good class, it does fall from grace compared to PoE1 Yeah, Herald might actually indeed be the best from that point of view. Not sure two sources of revive worth it though, also they does have different wakeup ispirations.... I also quite liked how Takeru as support druid/chanter ended up in my run. No summons though :( But watershaper basic spells were good addition and free spellchants also gave some goodies.
  15. Just wonder what is the objectively best defensive support character in game(provide buffs + provides heal + remove negative effects)? In PoE1 priest was the king there - consecrated ground provided reliable recovery of HP and could have been mastered, best prayers was avaliable earlier and booster radiance was just insane. Now with loss of radiance enhancements and change of affliction mechanics I feel priest is kinda fell from grace as new "prayers against" type reshaffling makes it harder to cover important afflictions. Additionally consecrated ground no longer tied to priest and instead to place. At the same time Lifegiver druid get great boost to actual "healing" part and chanter get a lot of buffs he can now use almost at will if we go troubadour(brisk recitation just skyrocket prase count). Even paladin, now that it is not restricted to one revive and one lay of hand per fight (not to mention that some exhortations were once per rest) So who is support king now?
  16. I would recommend to think about Eder, Xoti/Takeru, Sarafen, MC and someone fifth Swashbuckler Eder is fantastic for balanced party. Swash is fantastic in tanking even if he is on a softer side early on but later on he is probable THE best class to keep many enemies on him Xoti as multiclass is ok, not the best but she is reliable. Probably she is still better as pure monk but I ran with her as multyclass and it was ok. If you dont want Xoti, Takeru as a druid+chanter can become great support character. Druid moonwell + ancient memory + unlimited revives are great for support. Add boosting chants For damage dealt dual wield melee Sarafen is probably the best. Bonus damage from sipher whip, barbarian carnage is great combo For fifth party member I am not sure. Probably Maia with Blightheart and The Red Hand. Dont forget to get stalker link as it does work with spells. Only problem that both Eder and her are not too smart. Also bind Blightheart to wizard class
  17. Must say, after one proper Oraclevof Wael fightbI just said "screw it" and cheesed him to hell and back using two chanters with skeleton chants and two monks with dichotomous souls. Just swarmed oracle with meat while mopping up enemies as they come. At least bull**** unavoidable rays were wasted on skeletons
  18. Hmm maybe then it doesn't worth to waste time on it right now. On second run with Berath goodies it might become easier
  19. As far as I understand I need to kill them at least once to max out all Berath blessings points... Or not?
  20. So... how am I suppose to fight this guys? With custom companions? I barely can damage anyone before their damage output kills me. Even on lvl 20 with superb equipment
  21. Not sure if its better to post here or into story... I kinda begin to wonder - Island Aumaua from deadfire imply that character is part of Huana clans or part of newblood Principi. So I wonder if we consider character to be part of Huana, what clan he would be from/what class would be look logical to travel to Dyrwood either to stay or as a intermediate position? What caste character should have been? Is it even possible to make a character who is a part of huana who would look lore friendly?
  22. Well my brain refused to work with this one as I constantly tried to see it as a figter main with goodies from priest. I didn't tried to see it as a caster with fighter goodies...
