  1. WRONGO! Bush Sr. was a War pres and lost a 2nd term and a few other Presidents. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok, that might be so, I only read that fact on the internet and I have no interest in looking it up. I'll take your word for it. Anyhow, how about you answer my other two questions?
  2. How do you know you're killing 'your enemies'? In a war you're being controlled by a higher authority, and you're killing very abstract 'enemies'. How do you know for sure, that the people you're bombing 5000 feet below are your enemies? If someone becomes an enemy in your own hometown, is it still ok to kill him? USA didn't have a need to go to war. Bush had a need to go to war because it was election time (and a war president has never lost an election).
  3. So how come abortion is murder, but killing innocent women and children in Iraq isn't (what Fox News hides under the term 'collateral damage' in the US)?
  4. Yes, I believe forcing democracy by war is doomed to fail. Also, I don't believe in the american version of democracy. Actually, I wouldn't even call it a real democracy, but seeing your view on so many other things, I just know that explaining it to you would be fruitless.
  5. And you know this how, exactly?
  6. I don't believe in psychics.. ..but if you are one, could you please summon forth Britney Spears cell phone number for me?
  7. Hey, this mod sounds rather good. There was never anything wrong with the Morrowind game engine, and a new game using that same engine would be interesting to see. Did anyone download and try this yet? Feel free to write a short 'review' if you did.
  8. For real? I reviewed that game a few.. years back (I think) and I quickly realized that, although the game is free, to get somewhere (anywhere!) you have to pay money for stuff. Otherwise you can't even get started. Maybe they changed that?
  9. Ohno. Don't get me started on that new unannounced project again. Please! (But I hope you're right about the reason for the forum change)
  10. It looks like the board changed somehow.. Am I wrong?
  11. I've played a lot of Star Wolves recently (space RPG, with pseudo turn-based combat a la KotOR, made by a russian company) and unfortunately it suffers from the same problems as almost every russian game suffers from: horrible spelling mistakes, really crappy voice-overs and a confusing story. It has potential though.. The combat and character development works fine, and the missions and equipment (space ships!) are fun to play with. But it's all very linear, and you never know why you're doing whatever it is you have to do. Oh well, I still have Restricted Area left to play (german isometric RPG with "action elements" and a supposedly good game engine).
  12. But isn't saying "Xbox's hardware is stronger than PS2" also kind of obvious? What I reacted to is that you used the word "significantly". The difference in graphical quality between (for example, as I have played both versions of this) Burnout 3: Takedown isn't a significant change. Yes, the Xbox version is a bit sharper, but it doesn't handle better or anything and since PS2 still looks extremely good.. Who cares? The difference isn't significant. IF you could name a title that actually made use of the more powerful machine in a way that mattered, then I would call it significant.. But so far I don't agree with you.
  13. So.. to sum it all up: Jade Empire is kind of a short RPG (18-30 hours?), with a too linear story, great graphics and simple, repetitive yet difficult and deep combat system. It lacks an inventory system (this bugs me, I kind of like micromanaging my characters) and character customization. To me, this doesn't sound like an RPG at all. No character customization, no inventory system, a linear story (if I understood all this correctly), real time almost twitch based combat, no world interaction (bummer!) and a pretty short experience (for a RPG at least) doesn't sound like a game I would enjoy playing. And I've still not found anything about the exploration parts of the game. Although, based on what I've seen in former Bioware titles, there is none. At all. Ok, perhaps a little in Baldur's Gate.. But that's all
  14. Oohh, that is annoying.. When you have a name you always use for a character, and some movie/book/game comes along, uses the same name, and suddenly makes you look like a pathetic fanboi. In 1994 I used to play a MUD (Multi User Dungeon, online text based adventure) called Valhalla, and to be able to build zones in the game I needed a god character (world builders are called gods for some reason). So I sat down and tried to figure out a name of someone/something that could change an entire world and Earthquake came to mind. It seemed a bit long so I shortened it to Quake.. 2 years later, I had every newbie in the game asking me if I'd played a particular game by ID Software. Grr.
  15. In what way is the Xbox significantly more powerful than the PS2? Do you know of any titles that just wouldn't run on the PS2 as opposed to the Xbox? Or are you just counting the amount of polygons drawn per second? Significant is a synonym of important, but are more polygons per second really that important?
  16. Actually, in Sweden we don't even "pay" taxes. The taxes are automatically taken from our salaries before we even get to see the money, so it's not like getting (for example) 30000 SEK every month and then having to give away 10000 SEK to someone. Instead you just get 20000 SEK and go out and party as usual
  17. I don't know a word of english. Every post I write is just a random collection of words that I paste from various internet articles. Booger.
  18. Well, I've been level 60 for a couple of weeks now. The game didn't die (high level instances are still interesting) but PvP is still useless, the quests are getting fewer and fewer and the only thing that's fun for me is trying to improve my blacksmith profession and getting better equipment. The problem is that armoursmith (my profession) is severely underdeveloped and getting new equipment doesn't really change my character, it just gives me better bragging rights.. I don't think I'll be renewing my account once the three free months I got have passed.
  19. I'm a socialist. I believe in building a society where everyone has equal value and noone is left behind.
  20. Great gaming database: http://www.mobygames.com/home Great site for old games: http://www.the-underdogs.org/ Great site for demo downloading and news: http://www.gamershell.com/
  21. Woo, someone else voted for my favourite classic! Good to know there's at least ONE other sane person out there!
  22. Annoying that in the review they failed to mention or even bring up how the game world works. Big, streaming world as in GTA or small, claustrophobic, rectangular ones as in Neverwinter nights? Four pages about the combat and not a single line about the world. Argh. Oh well, I don't have an Xbox anyhow.
  23. The only game I've ever felt the need to create a number of different characters in is.. Dungeon Lords. And that game isn't even released yet! It has such a wide variety of character types that I want to see and experience first hand, that no game in a long time has matched (and I've only played the demo so far). With a little luck, the actual game will be so much more involved and complex.. according to D. W. Bradley's plans. I'm really looking forward to this game! Let's just hope they manage to fulfill all their visions and promises.. (not that I think they will).
  24. Americans will always believe their governments propaganda before the actual comparison between nations. No matter how long a socialist government has managed to compete (and outlast other nations) Americans will still think they have the greatest system in the world. Even though 10+% are below the poverty line in their own country.. If americans finally understood what their government did to them, there wouldn't be no more Bush's or similar characters at the top level. It's too bad the propaganda is so powerful.
