  1. I also think Deus Ex is better than Bloodlines, although both are very good games. Deus Ex felt as if it had a stronger story and more gameplay options. I also liked the setting of Deus Ex much more than that vampire theme Bloodlines had going. Deus Ex made with the Source engine.. *DROOL*
  2. I chose to destroy the machine. I figured the world was headed to such a horrible place, they might as well start over and try again. Also, the world after the collapse would be.. post-apocalyptic
  3. Wasteland Daggerfall Deus Ex Gothic 1&2 GTA: San Andreas Fallout 1&2 Ultima IV&V Pool of Radiance ..and many more.
  4. I've never even tried smoking. But I've worn one occasionally.
  5. I would love to join the ranks of Piranha Bytes as they develop Gothic 3! I am sure I could help them make the best RPG-series right now even better! Well, in my dreams I could Or perhaps Starbreeze Studios, since they're already located in my hometown and they seem to be interested in making a first person post apocalyptic RPG sometime in the future.
  6. Oh yes, there is! There's a really long and interesting story, with several sub-plots tying into the main story. Also, the dialogue is really clever and well-written and some of the characters in the game are absolutely brilliant (especially the guy played by James Woods). GTA: Vice City also had quite an impressive story..
  7. So.. what would that make me? I like complex role-playing games with real-time action combat, a la Gothic. I'm a sophisticated grunt breathing through my.. ears?
  8. Watch out, the clueless one has struck again!! Yes, salary caps are evil. Yet, salary caps might save a bleeding industry this time. Let's try it for 6 years? In 6 years there'll be plenty of time to renegotiate the deal, if NHL survives that long. The players did accept a salary cap, yes. But it was a salary cap set at 52 million per team. That would mean the owners would spend MORE money under the new deal than they do now. NHL is dying, the new TV-deal is the worst in history, ESPN threatens to stop covering the NHL completely (yes, it is true!), the players are already taking 76% of every dollar the league is making (compared to 55-60% in other major sports). Still, the players are trying to increase their salaries.. I'm sorry, but that just isn't going to work in the real world.
  9. Is there any way you can play through Planescape: Torment and not lose Morte at that exact point in time, every time? I mean, yeah, it was a twist the first time around. But the second, when I saw it coming? Not. As. Neat.
  10. How do you know it's not 90%? Back up your accusations with some facts yourself for a change.
  11. Wow. KotOR2 set off the alarm on my computer (I have this really loud alarm system that goes off if it reaches 80 degrees Celsius) but I never thought it could be the game causing it. It has only happened once for me though. Weird. I thought my computer was dying and it might just be KotOR2 stressing the system.. Good news!
  12. Exactly why do you think the quest is poorly designed? I can't remember any part of it that made me puke or anything. And if you play a paladin, those leggings (Westfall chausses) are really worth the trouble! Oh, and the first time I saw the endzone of that instance, I was really impressed! It was nothing as I had expected. It was better! Also, if you swim around the mountain on the outside, you can actually find the huge gates seen in the end of Van Cleef in the Stranglethorn Vale zone. Very nicely thought out.
  13. Yeah, and Doom is almost an RPG because it has lots and lots of combat. Clueless.
  14. The graphics look really nice. And I'm all for co-op games. ANY co-op games! I've noticed I'm able to play Solitaire for hours on end.. as long as it's done in co-op. Having a friend with you makes any game so much better for me.
  15. Yeah, I tried the demo last night, and it looked surprisingly good. Graphics are good to great and I really liked how they solved the troop management buttons: there aren't any! Instead you place your sight on certain hot-spots in the terrain, and this weird symbol lights up. If you then press the action button (which is used to open doors and pick up stuff), you'll command someone from your team to run to that position. It worked great for me! I also liked the fact that you can revive your fallen team-mates and they can do the same to you. I'll try it a little more tonite, but it's my girlfriend's birthday today so maybe, just maybe, I should spend some time with her too..
  16. Hehe, taks providing a link to a Fox site.. What a surprise. But YEAH, this sucks! I'm a union man myself, but this time I'm on the owners side. The league is bleeding, interest is down, the latest TV-deal sucked and yet they refuse to face reality and continue to demand over-the-top salaries. Also, they rather play for a couple of years in Sweden (among other countries) for 5000$/month, in front of 5-10.000 people instead of reducing their salaries from 10 million $ (yes, million) a year to 6 million $ and play in front of 20.000 people each night? Where's the logic behind that? At least we in Sweden get to see the best players in our Elitserien, and the World Championships will probably be one of the best ever. Always something.
  17. I don't understand.. The version of Pool of Radiance I played on my Commodore 64 started out in a big city, yes, but then the story forked out and let you travel the lands and explore ruins, towers, graveyards, islands and lots more. Wasn't it like that for everyone?
  18. I've heard nothing but good things about Paper Mario so I'm afraid MCA is up against some really tough competition. Especially seeing how LucasArts seems to have rushed the game (yes, I have gotten it now..).
  19. http://www.gamershell.com/download_8203.shtml I am downloading as we speak, but since the demo is 420+ Mb, it will take a while. Anyone else played it yet?
  20. I remember it was quite scary at times, but the constant loading annoyed the hell out of me. Every room you entered had to load new data. The maps are minimal! Maybe I should reinstall it? If I can find it..
  21. My server is called Turalyon. I have no idea why or what that means. I'm a level 25 paladin, and I just finished Van Cleef (Deadmines instance).
  22. I don't know but you actually get dumber as you get older... it's a fact. A sad, but true fact. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You only get "dumber" by potential. If you've reached the full potential of your brain, you'd notice, but most people haven't and with the experience that comes with age, older people usually score better on certain tests. Therefore you appear to become smarter with age.
  23. Yes, it is real-time and not turn based. Doesn't mean it will have to be a "clickfest" though. Personally, I am hoping it will be more along the lines of Gothic or perhaps Blade of Darkness.
  24. Two new gameplay movies from Dungeon Lords have surfaced: http://www.gamershell.com/download_8294.shtml http://www.gamershell.com/download_8295.shtml (Does not seem to work right now) I have not yet seen them myself, as I am currently downloading them.
