When I was younger and eviler I used to fool a lot of american players on a MUD I used to play that polarbears and penguins (!) were roaming the streets of Sweden. When they heard that I come from a place north of Siberia they believed me. I used to tell them long tales on how I ate penguins because they tasted like chicken and stuff. The funny thing was hearing them over the public channels later, trying to convince other, smarter people about what I had told them.. with no success. Not very evil I guess. But 10 points on the geek-o-meter.

huh? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What kind of lame-ass flaming is this? Did the marijuana wipe out all your braincells so all that's left is a "huh?", Rosbjerg? Kirottu is excused though, he's a finn. Finns normal vocabulary doesn't eeven include the word huh, so I'm almost impressed.

I've been playing this for a while now (supposed to review it soon) and it hasn't impressed me at all yet. It's definitely better than Doom 3, but it's still just a rail shooter. You run meaningless, repetitive errands to keep a very weak story afloat, and you're surrounded by NPC's that you never feel anything for or get to know anything about. You still spend most of your time in dark corridors, fighting waves of 2-4 enemies at a time, just as in Doom 3, but Quake 4 has better pacing in between fights and they've gotten rid of the ridiculous monster spawning that Doom 3 had in bundles. The whole experience is a lot more cinematic this time around, you get to drive vehicles (still in corridors, so you basically just drive forward and shoot whatever moves) and they have tried to include outdoor missions. The outdoor missions.. Well, first of all, you never get the feeling that you are outdoors because the skybox looks like a bad painting. Second, the 'outdoor' areas are so obviously restricted that no matter where you are, you always feel boxed in. Action fans will probably like Quake 4, but don't expect anything spectacular or innovative. It's not even close to Half-Life 2, but it's a step up from Doom 3.

Yzerman was a great player once. He's a non-factor now. Detroit is a great team though. Jaromir Jagr.. Yeah, he's won lots of cups since leaving Pittburgh. Let's see if his clutch play can bring a cup to New York. And since when are the Rangers a dominating team..? Mario Lemieux.. Another player who lives off his name. He's not really a clutch player anymore. And again, since when are the Penguins a dominating team? Martin Brodeur is a great clutch player. I'd put him on the list. Joe Sakic is also a great player, but we'll see how he does without Forsberg, Roy, Foote and a whole bunch of other stars. Not sure the Avalanche will be dominating anything this year. The reason I think Sundin is the better clutch player than these names mentioned (which aren't the best clutch players in the league right now, except for Brodeur and maybe Jagr) is that he's almost never been surrounded by talent, yet he keeps taking them to the playoffs and winning them games when they shouldn't. The fact that he hasn't won a cup has nothing to do with his clutch abilities, it has to do with the team. It is possible to be a good player on a bad team. Why else doesn't the best clutch player in the game (whoever YOU think deserves the title) win the cup every year? It's not that easy. This year, though.. Leafs all the way! )

How many? Uh.. Daggerfall had mounts. They were great, as that game is HUGE, and you were allowed to have a cart which could carry a lot of stuff. Shadow of the Colossus has a mount. I haven't played thatr game myself though so I don't know what it's good for. And those two are the only ones I can think of..

So name at least ONE player that's a better clutch player than Sundin? You can name TONS. What the hell does that mean? A metric ton is 1000 kg. Tons is plural. Are you saying you can name thousands of better clutch players than Sundin? Good luck. Why don't you start by naming one active player that you consider as a better clutch player than Sundin? And please provide something to back up your opinion this time, as your bs is not good enough on these boards. And are you saying the only players who can be called clutch players are the ones with at least one cup to their name? That lessens the list of availible players a lot. I can't list a single GWG Sundin has. I haven't checked this stat myself, but I do watch (or listen to, this year.. grr) a lot of Leafs games and I have seen him play. I know for a fact that he must be among the top clutch players in the league, he's the best player under pressure that I've ever seen (except Claude Lemieux). His nickname "Sudden" doesn't all stem from his last name.

I wouldn't mind having a Scandinavian uniion when it comes to sports. But I don't want the hipocrisy society of Norway (prudes!), the drug-friendly government system of Denmark or the racist attitudes of Finland. Not that I'm sure the EU is going to be any better. But I voted no! "Skyll inte p

My suggestions for forum levels: Level 0 = "Kill me, I don't exist anyhow." Level 1 = "I'm a complete and utter newbie." Yup. Sundin is not a team, he is a player. It takes a team to win a cup. So.. can you name one player that has scored more game winning goals or sudden death goals than Sundin in the last 5-6 years?
-
Well, they started the season with three losses in a row. But you're right, they've been playing like hockey gods (almost) these last four contests. Lindros and Steen have been totally outstanding, and even Aki Berk is getting some praise. That doesn't happen every day, trust me. Still.. I think the Leafs would be even better than they are now with Sundin in the lineup. He's the clutch player (second after Claude Lemieux, but he's retired), and I think some of these overtime games wouldn't have gone to overtime with Sundin playing. Also, he's definitely an offensive force to be reckoned with and I have a hard time seeing the Leafs losing twice to Ottawa if Sundin had been there.

What's worse? Six straight losses or getting your captain injured seven minutes into the season opener? The Oilers will turn this around.

Sergei Mkrekuov.

I'm glad I'm not an Oilers fan after the first two periods..

I've noticed that my Firefox has started crashing on me lately, especially on some of the more advanced websites. It is extremely annoying when I am researching a game, writing an article and trying to watch some streaming trailer at the same time.. and the damn thing blows up in my face. I'm hoping they fix these problems soon.

You have a very 'clean' drawing style. I like.

I have a 120 GB and a 250 GB. The 120 has 50 GB free. The 250 has 150 GB free. I mostly have gametrailers, reviews, game screenshots, various photo editing applications, installed games, game patches, game demos and other assorted crap. Also, I just noticed that I still had World of Warcraft installed! I stopped playing that game in in April or May..

I get all my CD's/DVD's in envelopes, often without anything else, not even a manual. After a while there are stacks of naked discs everywhere on my desk. Yes, my discs get scratched a lot.

Why would anyone want to invade Denmark..? It's just a hill.. a couple of islands here and there.. nothing else.
-
Probably not. I just remember him coming back to play a lot quicker than anyone would have expected. Once during the regular season (foot) and once in the playoffs (wrist, they pumped him full of painkillers.. he could barely shoot at all).

Two 500 GB hd's.. What I could do with two 500 GB hd's.. I WOULD RULE TEH UNIV3RSE!!1! Seriously though, Komplett.se (my favourite hardware shop) still only sells ONE internal 500 GB model.. Imagine buying one a couple of years before now! Let alone two! That must be like buying a new car. I run on one 120 GB (old one) and one 250 GB (not as old one), but they're always full with review games that I promise myself I'll play.. later.. when I find the time..

http://www.torontosun.com/Sports/Hockey/20...270635-sun.html Just a quick update on Sundin's eye. It's very positive, and it's only gone two weeks. Still.. I had reckoned he'd be back by now. I've never had an eye injury myself though, so I know nothing about them. Just feels.. weird, to be able to play with a broken ankle and a broken wrist after just a few days and then be gone for 2+ weeks for a puck to the eye.
-
Phew!! Toronto beat Carolina 5-4 in overtime! That's four wins in a row! It's good to be a Leaf, even though the captain is out indefinitely. ) Edit: Ovechkin 2 more goals tonite.. from shooting 10 shots!

I'm bored, so I decided to decipher one of Epiphany's more sane looking recent posts. This one: For fun, let's break down what Epiphany is writing in the above quote, shall we? "The X360 has the best development tools developers have worked with. Many developers have backed this claim, including John Carmack..." - Epiphany This, I assume, is taken from the QuakeCon where Carmack spoke about developing on the Xbox 360. So what's the real quote then? "Carmack also praised Microsoft's development environment as easily the best of any of the consoles, thanks to the company's background as a software provider. Carmack said the 360, like the original Xbox, is easy to create games for thanks to a solid set of development tools. However, he went on, Sony is promoting the PS3 as offering more of an open environment for development, like the PC - and Carmack can't see Microsoft following suit." -Carmack at QuakeCon Not quite the same, huh? Ok, the Xbox 360 is the easiest to work on of the current consoles, but where's the part about it having the best tools he's worked with? I'd say that's a pretty major detail, wouldn't you? Especially as Epiphany words it, as it sounds as developers in general think this. Epiphany also chose not to include what Carmack said about the PS3, which to me sounds like praise too, although in a different field. (Source: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=60510 , http://techreport.com/etc/2005q3/carmack-q...on/index.x?pg=1 ) Let's continue on: "...in a recent G4TV interview - in which they continually tried to get him to claim the PS3 was "better"." - Epiphany And the real world equivalent? "On the subject of whether the 360 is superior to the PS3, Carmack described the hardware as "comparable", but conceded: "PS3 is probably marginally more powerful, in terms of raw flops and graphic operations."" - G4tv G4tv asked John if he didn't believe the PS3 was more powerful than the Xbox 360, one time during the interview. Continually tried to make him claim the PS3 was more powerful.. Right. Also (the important part): "He simply looked at them and said developing for a console with better tools is superior than developing for a console that has marginally superior FLOP performance." - Epiphany Notice how Epiphany in this sentence conveniently 'forgets' to add that John Carmack, programming guru of ID Software, thinks the PS3 is more powerful in FLOPS and graphic operations. Not only FLOPS as Epiphany claims (or, as Epiphany calls it, FLOP...). Guess Carmack doesn't see the Xbox 360 GPU (Xenos) as such a groundbreaking feature after all. Of course, this goes against everything Epiphany has been preaching for the last couple of months, which is why he left that vital piece of information about graphics operations out. Guess the PS3 isn't just all about FLOPS after all.. (Source: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=61352 , http://www.g4tv.com/videos/index.html )
